Whether you are a first-time registrant or an established trader, New GST Registration in Chitlapakkam deserves a specialist rather than a side job. From Rs.1,499, our GST-focused Chennai practice runs the entire process on written checklists and senior-reviewed submissions.
We serve businesses on and around Kabilar Street — document pickup, in-person consultation at our Porur office, or fully online over WhatsApp.
Share your number — a senior GST consultant calls you back within 30 minutes.
Chitlapakkam is a dense middle-class suburb wrapped around Chitlapakkam Lake between Chromepet and Selaiyur, its Main Road lined with provision stores, bakeries, pharmacies, tuition centres and small boutiques. Most traders here operate close to the Rs.40 lakh goods registration threshold, so registration timing, quarterly filing under the QRMP scheme and CMP-08 payment discipline for composition dealers dominate GST consultations in this locality. That commercial character shapes the GST questions we see from Chitlapakkam every week — registrations, monthly returns, credit mismatches and departmental queries. We deliver New GST Registration for businesses in Chitlapakkam, and clients also reach us from Chromepet and Selaiyur nearby. Documents move over WhatsApp, drafts are approved before filing, and a senior consultant reviews every submission, so distance from our office never dilutes the quality of the work.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
If your GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B start drifting apart, if a large supplier stops filing, or if your turnover approaches the e-invoice threshold, we flag it to you immediately. Early warnings from our side are cheaper than departmental letters later.
Your cash ledger, credit ledger and liability register are reviewed regularly, not just at filing time. Excess balances are flagged for use or refund, and where a genuine slip surfaces, a voluntary payment through DRC-03 settles it before it can mature into a notice.
We work with Chennai GST ranges and circles every week, including the jurisdiction covering Chitlapakkam. We know how local proper officers examine registrations, what supporting documents they routinely call for, and how to present a file so it moves without repeated queries.
If a query, ASMT-10 scrutiny notice or DRC-01 arrives on a return we filed, we stand behind our work and help you draft the reply. You are not left alone with a departmental letter and a thirty-day clock ticking against you.
GSTR-1 by the 11th, GSTR-3B by the 20th, CMP-08 by the 18th after each quarter — we maintain a compliance calendar for every client and start chasing your data well before the due date, so late fees never enter the picture.
Winding up attracts its own GST obligations — the cancellation application, reversal of credit on closing stock, and the final return in GSTR-10 within three months. We close registrations properly so a business you shut in Chitlapakkam never writes back to you as a demand years later.
You share PAN, Aadhaar, photographs, address proof and bank details over WhatsApp or email. We review each document against portal requirements and flag anything that could trigger an officer query.
We draft Form GST REG-01 with the correct business constitution, principal place of business, HSN or SAC codes and authorised signatory details, then share a summary for your confirmation.
The application is filed on the GST portal and we guide the authorised signatory through Aadhaar OTP authentication, which speeds up approval and usually avoids physical verification of premises.
We track the ARN daily. If the officer issues a notice in Form REG-03 seeking clarification, we draft and file the reply in Form REG-04 within the permitted time.
Once approved, we download your registration certificate in Form REG-06, help set up portal login credentials, and brief you on invoice format, return due dates and e-way bill obligations.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: 3-7 working days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Whether moving between composition and regular scheme, opting into QRMP, or crossing the e-invoice threshold at Rs.5 crore, transitions are planned in advance rather than discovered after a compliance breach.
You know your expected GST outflow days before the 20th, not on the night of filing. That advance visibility lets you plan payments, collections and bank balances instead of scrambling for funds at the deadline.
Filed returns, challans, reconciliations and working papers are archived in order from day one. If an audit or departmental verification comes, your file is ready the same week, not assembled in a panic.
Systematic GSTR-2B matching and supplier follow-up mean input tax credit that was leaking away under self-filing is captured each month, directly reducing the cash you pay out with every GSTR-3B.
Correct, complete tax invoices signal a well-run business to customers, vendors and banks alike, quietly strengthening your credibility in every transaction where your paperwork is seen.
Because turnover in your GST returns is kept aligned with your accounts through the year, income tax filing and statutory audit proceed without the GST-versus-books mismatch queries that now surface routinely through data matching.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Input tax credit | Purchase register matched against GSTR-2B each period, with defaulting suppliers chased so eligible credit is actually captured. | Credit claimed from books alone; mismatches with GSTR-2B mean lost credit or excess claims that invite departmental queries. |
| Refund claims | RFD-01 filed with complete statements and annexures, tracked from ARN to bank credit, with any deficiency memo answered promptly. | Incomplete claims bounce back as deficiency memos while the refund sits unclaimed for months and working capital stays blocked. |
| Supplier defaults | Suppliers who stop uploading invoices are identified within the period and pursued before their default becomes your blocked credit. | Missing supplier invoices surface only when credit is denied, by which time recovering the amount from the vendor is difficult. |
| Due-date tracking | A maintained compliance calendar with internal cut-offs days before the 11th and the 20th; we chase you for data, not the other way around. | Deadlines remembered from memory or phone alarms; one busy week and the return slips past the due date. |
| Risk of notices | GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-2B reconciled before filing, removing the mismatches that trigger most scrutiny notices. | Inconsistent figures across returns quietly build a mismatch history that surfaces later as ASMT-10 scrutiny or a demand notice. |
| Goods in transit | E-way bills generated correctly and matched to invoices, so consignments pass roadside inspections without detention or penalty. | A defective or missing e-way bill can mean detention at a checkpoint, with penalties that dwarf the tax on the consignment. |
Kabilar Street is a residential street in Chitlapakkam, about 450 m north-west of the centre of Chitlapakkam. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — Gandhi 1st Street (about 50 m); Kalaivanar Street (about 50 m); Gandhi Street 2nd Cross Street (about 50 m); Gandhi Street (about 100 m) — so a site visit on Kabilar Street can usually be combined with other work in Chitlapakkam on the same trip. For GST purposes an address on Kabilar Street falls under the Chennai Outer CGST Commissionerate, and the Chitlapakkam pincode is 600064.
Road classification and position from OpenStreetMap; distances are straight-line and approximate. Jurisdiction must be confirmed on your own registration certificate.
GST law moves through notifications, circulars and court decisions. These are the ones changing how filings are prepared right now.
GSTN Advisory, 2023 — geocoding of the principal place of business enabled for all States and Union Territories · 2023
GSTN rolled out a geocoding facility that converts the address of the principal place of business into map coordinates, so the location on the registration certificate can be verified against the ground position. After a pilot in a few states, the functionality was extended to normal, composition, casual, SEZ and input service distributor taxpayers in every State and Union Territory during 2023, and geocoding of additional places of business followed. Geocoding does not change the address recorded in the registration.
Practical effect: Complete geocoding for your Chennai premises and any godown, as an unverified address can delay amendments, refunds and physical verification clearance.
36th GST Council Meeting (video conferencing) — 27 July 2019 · 2019-07-27
The Council reduced GST on all electric vehicles from 12 per cent to 5 per cent and on chargers or charging stations for electric vehicles from 18 per cent to 5 per cent. Hiring of electric buses with carrying capacity of more than twelve passengers by local authorities was exempted. All these changes took effect from 1 August 2019. The Council also extended the last date for opting into the six per cent service composition scheme in CMP-02 to 30 September 2019.
Why this matters: Electric vehicle dealers and charging point operators in Chennai bill at five per cent, a rate that has survived every later rate revision including GST 2.0.
Nagri Eye Research Foundation v. Union of India — Gujarat High Court, Special Civil Application No. 7822 of 2021, judgment dated 9 July 2021 · 2021-07-09
A charitable trust ran a medical store attached to its hospital, selling medicines at a discount, and argued that as it worked without profit motive it was not carrying on business and needed no registration. The High Court held that the sale of medicines is a supply of goods, and that the absence of a profit motive does not take the activity outside the definition of business under the CGST Act. The trust was therefore required to obtain registration once the threshold was crossed.
Practical effect: Trusts, societies and associations in Chennai cannot assume that having no profit motive means no GST — registration turns on the supply, not the motive.
