Late fees, blocked credit and mismatch notices cost far more than professional help ever will. We complete GST Refund RFD-01 for Santhome businesses from Rs.4,999, matching every figure against portal data before anything reaches the department.
We serve businesses on and around Madha Church Road — document pickup, in-person consultation at our Porur office, or fully online over WhatsApp.
Share your number — a senior GST consultant calls you back within 30 minutes.
Every locality in Chennai has its own commercial rhythm, and Santhome is no exception. Santhome stretches from the Light House end of Marina down Santhome High Road past San Thome Basilica, mixing schools such as St. Bede's, church-linked institutions, neighbourhood retail and the fishing settlement of Nochikuppam along Loop Road. Fresh fish sales are GST-exempt, but ice, packing and transport attract tax, so fisherfolk cooperatives and seafood sellers here need careful exempt-versus-taxable classification. Our practice has shaped its GST Refund RFD-01 work around exactly these realities, serving clients in Santhome as well as Mylapore and Foreshore Estate. Registrations, returns, refunds and notice replies are handled by one accountable team, with fees fixed in writing before work begins and every filing reconciled against portal data before it is submitted.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
If a query, ASMT-10 scrutiny notice or DRC-01 arrives on a return we filed, we stand behind our work and help you draft the reply. You are not left alone with a departmental letter and a thirty-day clock ticking against you.
A registration cancelled for non-filing is not the end of the road. We bring the pending returns up to date, clear the dues and file the revocation application in REG-21 within the permitted window, restoring suspended and cancelled GSTINs to active status.
Tally, Zoho Books, Busy, marketplace reports, plain Excel or even a handwritten bill book — we take your data in whatever form your Santhome business already maintains it. You are never forced to buy new software or retrain staff just to become our client.
We work with Chennai GST ranges and circles every week, including the jurisdiction covering Santhome. We know how local proper officers examine registrations, what supporting documents they routinely call for, and how to present a file so it moves without repeated queries.
You deal with one accountable person who knows your business, your turnover pattern and your filing history. No repeating your story to a new voice every month, and no file falling between two desks when a deadline is approaching.
No filing leaves our desk on a junior's judgement alone. A senior GST practitioner reviews your figures, ITC claims and tax computation before submission, so errors are caught at our table and not by the department months later through a notice.
We identify the correct refund category, confirm the two-year limitation from the relevant date, and compute the admissible amount using the formula prescribed under the rules.
Invoices, shipping bills, FIRCs, the LUT and ledger extracts are compiled into the prescribed statements, and gaps that commonly cause deficiency memos are fixed upfront.
The refund application is filed on the portal with all annexures and declarations, and the acknowledgement in RFD-02 is tracked within the statutory fifteen days.
We respond to any deficiency memo in RFD-03 or show cause notice in RFD-08, appear through written submissions, and pursue provisional refund where the category permits.
We track the sanction order in RFD-06 and payment advice in RFD-05, confirm the credit in your validated bank account, and archive the complete claim file.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: Application filed in 3-5 working days; sanction typically within 60 days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Large buyers check vendor GST compliance before releasing payments and renewing contracts. A clean filing record with timely GSTR-1 uploads keeps your invoices reflecting in their GSTR-2B and your payments unblocked.
Because monthly data is reconciled as it happens, GSTR-9 preparation before the 31 December due date becomes a review exercise rather than a painful reconstruction of twelve untidy months.
Getting IGST versus CGST and SGST right at the invoice stage spares you the painful cycle of paying the correct head again and pursuing a refund of the amount paid under the wrong one.
Systematic GSTR-2B matching and supplier follow-up mean input tax credit that was leaking away under self-filing is captured each month, directly reducing the cash you pay out with every GSTR-3B.
E-commerce platforms continuously validate seller GSTINs and filing status. A consistently compliant registration keeps your listings active and settlements flowing, with no sudden suspension of your online sales channel.
Excess balances parked in the electronic cash ledger are identified during regular ledger reviews and either utilised against upcoming liability or claimed back as a refund, instead of sitting interest-free with the government.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Goods in transit | E-way bills generated correctly and matched to invoices, so consignments pass roadside inspections without detention or penalty. | A defective or missing e-way bill can mean detention at a checkpoint, with penalties that dwarf the tax on the consignment. |
| Registration and amendments | Query-resistant applications prepared correctly the first time, with supporting documents matched to what proper officers actually verify. | Repeated clarification memos and resubmissions, with weeks lost because a rent agreement or premises photograph did not meet expectations. |
| Due-date tracking | A maintained compliance calendar with internal cut-offs days before the 11th and the 20th; we chase you for data, not the other way around. | Deadlines remembered from memory or phone alarms; one busy week and the return slips past the due date. |
| When a notice arrives | A professional drafts the reply in the department's format and files it within the statutory window, such as thirty days for ASMT-11. | You face departmental language alone, and a missed reply deadline can convert a simple query into a demand with penalty. |
| Late fees and interest | Filings go in ahead of statutory dates, so the Rs.50-per-day late fee and 18 percent interest never arise. | Late fees accumulate silently every delayed day, and interest on unpaid tax runs at 18 percent per annum. |
| Time cost | Roughly an hour a month to send data and approve drafts; the portal work, reconciliation and follow-up are ours. | Hours every month lost to portal errors, JSON files, OTP failures and reworking figures — usually on the due date itself. |
Madha Church Road is a residential street in Santhome, about 250 m south-east of the centre of Santhome. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — Custain Beach Road (about 50 m); North Leith Castle Street (about 150 m); K.S. Koil Street (about 150 m); Lein Perira Street (about 200 m) — so a site visit on Madha Church Road can usually be combined with other work in Santhome on the same trip. For GST purposes an address on Madha Church Road falls under the Chennai North CGST Commissionerate, and the Santhome pincode is 600004.
Road classification and position from OpenStreetMap; distances are straight-line and approximate. Jurisdiction must be confirmed on your own registration certificate.
A working knowledge of recent instruments and judgments is what separates a defensible filing from a risky one.
1st GST Council Meeting, New Delhi — 22-23 September 2016 (Signed Minutes, Agenda Item 3) · 2016-09-23
At its very first meeting the Council debated exemption thresholds ranging from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 25 lakh and finally agreed that a business would not need GST registration until its aggregate turnover crossed Rs 20 lakh. For the eleven Special Category States listed in Article 279A of the Constitution, the threshold was set at Rs 10 lakh. The Chairperson recorded that the figure would be reviewed after five years, once the compensation guarantee to States had run its course.
Why this matters: The Rs 20 lakh figure that still governs whether a small Chennai service business must register was settled at this meeting and has been the starting point for every later threshold change.
Circular No. 147/03/2021-GST dated 12 March 2021 · 2021-03-12
CBIC modified paragraph 41 of the master refund circular so that the recipient of deemed export supplies is no longer barred from availing input tax credit on the invoices for which he claims refund, since the portal in any case requires him to debit an equal amount from the credit ledger. It also extended the relaxation for exporters who wrongly declared zero-rated supplies in Table 3.1(a) of GSTR-3B instead of Table 3.1(b), and clarified that the cap introduced by Notification No. 16/2020-Central Tax, which limits the turnover of zero-rated supply of goods to 1.5 times the value of like goods supplied domestically, applies equally when computing adjusted total turnover in the denominator of the rule 89(4) refund formula.
Practical effect: Buyers from EOUs and advance-authorisation holders in Chennai can now claim both credit and refund, and the same capped export value must be used in the numerator and the denominator of the refund formula.
Toshniwal Brothers (SR) Pvt Ltd — AAR Karnataka, Advance Ruling No. KAR ADRG 23/2018, dated 19 September 2018 · 2018-09-19
The applicant promoted the products of overseas manufacturers in India and also carried out installation, commissioning and after-sales support for Indian customers, billing the foreign principal in convertible foreign exchange. The Karnataka Authority for Advance Ruling held that this activity facilitates the supply between the foreign principal and the Indian customer, making the applicant an intermediary. The place of supply is therefore in India and the receipts do not qualify as export of service.
Practical effect: Chennai firms invoicing foreign principals for marketing or support work should test the intermediary risk before treating the receipts as zero-rated exports.
