The 11th and the 20th arrive every month whether you are ready or not. Our Chennai team keeps businesses in Alwarthirunagar permanently ahead of both, delivering GST Refund RFD-01 from Rs.4,999 with reconciliation, senior review and WhatsApp acknowledgements as standard.
We serve businesses on and around Singaravelan Street — document pickup, in-person consultation at our Porur office, or fully online over WhatsApp.
Share your number — a senior GST consultant calls you back within 30 minutes.
Alwarthirunagar's trade sits on Arcot Road and Thiruvalluvar Salai, with textile and furniture showrooms, mobile and electronics stores, restaurants, opticians and diagnostic centres, while the Vembuliamman Koil Street and Vanniyar Street lanes handle provisions, flowers and vegetables. Kamarajar Salai, Munusamy Salai and Rajamannar Salai hold marriage halls, printers and builders, and Chowdhary Nagar and Janaki Nagar carry rented shop-cum-office blocks. Shop rent on reverse charge, composition thresholds and aggregator food sales generate the bulk of local GST queries. We have supported businesses of exactly this profile with GST Refund RFD-01 across Alwarthirunagar for years, along with clients from Valasaravakkam and Virugambakkam. The engagement is simple: one point of contact, a clear fee, documents over WhatsApp or in person at our Chennai office, and senior review before anything is submitted on the portal. What you get in return is clean filings, archived records and far fewer reasons for the department to write to you.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
If a query, ASMT-10 scrutiny notice or DRC-01 arrives on a return we filed, we stand behind our work and help you draft the reply. You are not left alone with a departmental letter and a thirty-day clock ticking against you.
A registration cancelled for non-filing is not the end of the road. We bring the pending returns up to date, clear the dues and file the revocation application in REG-21 within the permitted window, restoring suspended and cancelled GSTINs to active status.
Freight paid to transporters, advocate fees, imported services and other notified supplies attract GST under reverse charge, with self-invoicing where the supplier is unregistered. We maintain a running RCM check every period, because this is the liability self-filers most consistently miss.
Your cash ledger, credit ledger and liability register are reviewed regularly, not just at filing time. Excess balances are flagged for use or refund, and where a genuine slip surfaces, a voluntary payment through DRC-03 settles it before it can mature into a notice.
If your GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B start drifting apart, if a large supplier stops filing, or if your turnover approaches the e-invoice threshold, we flag it to you immediately. Early warnings from our side are cheaper than departmental letters later.
Every acknowledgement, challan, computation sheet and filed return is saved and shared with you in an organised folder. When a bank, buyer or GST officer asks for a document from two years ago, it reaches you the same day without any scrambling.
We identify the correct refund category, confirm the two-year limitation from the relevant date, and compute the admissible amount using the formula prescribed under the rules.
Invoices, shipping bills, FIRCs, the LUT and ledger extracts are compiled into the prescribed statements, and gaps that commonly cause deficiency memos are fixed upfront.
The refund application is filed on the portal with all annexures and declarations, and the acknowledgement in RFD-02 is tracked within the statutory fifteen days.
We respond to any deficiency memo in RFD-03 or show cause notice in RFD-08, appear through written submissions, and pursue provisional refund where the category permits.
We track the sanction order in RFD-06 and payment advice in RFD-05, confirm the credit in your validated bank account, and archive the complete claim file.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: Application filed in 3-5 working days; sanction typically within 60 days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Late-fee waivers and amnesty windows notified by the GST Council are applied to your history within their deadlines, capturing reliefs that most businesses only hear about once the window has already closed.
Each period you receive a simple computation showing output tax, credit utilised and net cash payable, so GST becomes a number you understand and question rather than a figure you accept blindly.
Continuous filing protects you from the suspension and cancellation proceedings that hit chronic non-filers, so your registration, e-way bill access and ability to issue tax invoices are never suddenly cut off.
Because turnover in your GST returns is kept aligned with your accounts through the year, income tax filing and statutory audit proceed without the GST-versus-books mismatch queries that now surface routinely through data matching.
Rates, reverse charge, place of supply and blocked credits are applied correctly at the preparation stage, so you neither overpay tax you do not owe nor underpay and invite demands with penalty later.
With returns filed ahead of the statutory due dates every period, the Rs.50-per-day GSTR-3B late fee simply stops appearing in your life, and the money stays in your business where it belongs.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Risk of notices | GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-2B reconciled before filing, removing the mismatches that trigger most scrutiny notices. | Inconsistent figures across returns quietly build a mismatch history that surfaces later as ASMT-10 scrutiny or a demand notice. |
| Goods in transit | E-way bills generated correctly and matched to invoices, so consignments pass roadside inspections without detention or penalty. | A defective or missing e-way bill can mean detention at a checkpoint, with penalties that dwarf the tax on the consignment. |
| Annual return preparation | Monthly reconciliations roll naturally into GSTR-9, filed comfortably before 31 December with figures already agreed through the year. | Twelve months of unmatched data reconstructed in December, with differences discovered too late to be corrected cleanly. |
| Record keeping | Every return, challan, acknowledgement and working paper archived in an organised folder, retrievable in minutes years later. | Documents scattered across email, downloads and old phones; assembling records for a bank or an audit takes days. |
| Keeping up with changes | Rate changes, portal updates and new thresholds such as the Rs.5 crore e-invoice limit are tracked by us and applied to your case proactively. | Changes are discovered after the fact — often through a rejected filing, a blocked e-way bill or a departmental letter. |
| Time cost | Roughly an hour a month to send data and approve drafts; the portal work, reconciliation and follow-up are ours. | Hours every month lost to portal errors, JSON files, OTP failures and reworking figures — usually on the due date itself. |
Singaravelan Street is a residential street in Alwarthirunagar, about 1.0 km south-west of the centre of Alwarthirunagar. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — Azhagiri Road (about 50 m); Chowdhary Nagar Main Road (about 150 m); Prakasam Salai (about 250 m); Alsa Townsville Road (about 450 m) — so a site visit on Singaravelan Street can usually be combined with other work in Alwarthirunagar on the same trip. For GST purposes an address on Singaravelan Street falls under the Chennai South CGST Commissionerate, and the Alwarthirunagar pincode is 600087.
Road classification and position from OpenStreetMap; distances are straight-line and approximate. Jurisdiction must be confirmed on your own registration certificate.
A working knowledge of recent instruments and judgments is what separates a defensible filing from a risky one.
Notification No. 46/2017-Central Tax (Rate) dated 14.11.2017 · 2017-11-14
Acting on the GST Council's decision at its 23rd meeting in Guwahati, this notification restructured the rate on restaurant, eating joint, mess and canteen services. From 15 November 2017 the rate became 5 per cent with the express condition that no input tax credit on goods and services used in supplying the service may be taken. Restaurants located in hotels where the declared tariff of any unit of accommodation was seven thousand five hundred rupees or more continued at 18 per cent with full input tax credit.
How we apply it: A standalone Chennai restaurant charges 5 per cent and must write off all GST on rent, equipment and ingredients as a cost, since no credit is allowed.
M/s. Century Apparels (P) Ltd v. Deputy State Tax Officer — Madras High Court (Madurai Bench), W.P.(MD) No. 3748 of 2025, decided 22 October 2025 (G.R. Swaminathan J.) · 2025-10-22
Garments moving from Tirupur to Tuticorin for export were detained because the e-way bill showed Chennai as the place of dispatch, and a penalty equal to 200 per cent of tax was levied under Section 129(1)(a). The Court quashed the penalty, holding that the goods were in fact covered by documents, that the error was typographical and easily correctable, that Section 126 forbids penalty for such minor breaches absent fraudulent intent, and that leaving the reply column blank breached Section 129(4).
Practical effect: A Tamil Nadu exporter penalised for a clerical mistake in the e-way bill, with no allegation of evasion, has a strong case for refund of the penalty paid under protest.
48th GST Council Meeting (video conferencing) — 17 December 2022 · 2022-12-17
The Council recommended decriminalising parts of the GST regime. The minimum threshold of tax for launching prosecution under Section 132 was raised from Rs 1 crore to Rs 2 crore, except for the offence of issuing invoices without any supply. The compounding amount was reduced from the range of 50 to 150 per cent of tax to 25 to 100 per cent. Three offences were decriminalised altogether: obstructing or preventing an officer in the discharge of duties, deliberate tampering with material evidence, and failure to supply information.
Practical effect: Ordinary compliance failures below Rs 2 crore of tax no longer expose a Chennai proprietor to criminal prosecution, though fake invoicing remains prosecutable at any value.
