Whether you are a first-time registrant or an established trader, New GST Registration in Alwarthirunagar deserves a specialist rather than a side job. From Rs.1,499, our GST-focused Chennai practice runs the entire process on written checklists and senior-reviewed submissions.
We serve businesses on and around Bharathi Colony — document pickup, in-person consultation at our Porur office, or fully online over WhatsApp.
Share your number — a senior GST consultant calls you back within 30 minutes.
GST does not distinguish between a large showroom and a small service unit — the due dates and matching systems apply equally to both. Alwarthirunagar's trade sits on Arcot Road and Thiruvalluvar Salai, with textile and furniture showrooms, mobile and electronics stores, restaurants, opticians and diagnostic centres, while the Vembuliamman Koil Street and Vanniyar Street lanes handle provisions, flowers and vegetables. Kamarajar Salai, Munusamy Salai and Rajamannar Salai hold marriage halls, printers and builders, and Chowdhary Nagar and Janaki Nagar carry rented shop-cum-office blocks. Shop rent on reverse charge, composition thresholds and aggregator food sales generate the bulk of local GST queries. That is why our New GST Registration engagements in Alwarthirunagar follow the same discipline whatever the client's size: written checklists, reconciliation before filing and every acknowledgement archived. Businesses from Valasaravakkam and Virugambakkam run on the same process, entirely over WhatsApp if they prefer.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
GSTR-3B late fees run at Rs.50 per day and interest at 18 percent per annum on unpaid tax. Our internal cut-offs sit days ahead of statutory due dates precisely so that our clients never hand the department a rupee they did not owe.
A new GSTIN comes with obligations nobody explains at approval — the invoice series rules, displaying the registration certificate and GSTIN at your premises, and the first return cycle. We walk new registrants in Alwarthirunagar through each of these so month one starts correctly.
Businesses with registrations in more than one State, or multiple branches under one PAN, face cross-charge, stock transfer and input service distribution questions that single-GSTIN firms never see. We keep all your registrations consistent with each other, not just compliant individually.
In the days before the 11th and the 20th, our team runs extended hours and a strict internal queue, so a client who sends data late in the window is still filed on time. Peak-season crush at our end never becomes a late fee at yours.
When an ADT-01 audit intimation or a personal hearing date arrives, we compile the records, prepare the reconciliations and draft the submissions, and coordinate closely with your authorised representative. You walk into the proceeding prepared, not improvising in front of an officer.
No filing leaves our desk on a junior's judgement alone. A senior GST practitioner reviews your figures, ITC claims and tax computation before submission, so errors are caught at our table and not by the department months later through a notice.
You share PAN, Aadhaar, photographs, address proof and bank details over WhatsApp or email. We review each document against portal requirements and flag anything that could trigger an officer query.
We draft Form GST REG-01 with the correct business constitution, principal place of business, HSN or SAC codes and authorised signatory details, then share a summary for your confirmation.
The application is filed on the GST portal and we guide the authorised signatory through Aadhaar OTP authentication, which speeds up approval and usually avoids physical verification of premises.
We track the ARN daily. If the officer issues a notice in Form REG-03 seeking clarification, we draft and file the reply in Form REG-04 within the permitted time.
Once approved, we download your registration certificate in Form REG-06, help set up portal login credentials, and brief you on invoice format, return due dates and e-way bill obligations.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: 3-7 working days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
E-commerce platforms continuously validate seller GSTINs and filing status. A consistently compliant registration keeps your listings active and settlements flowing, with no sudden suspension of your online sales channel.
Late-fee waivers and amnesty windows notified by the GST Council are applied to your history within their deadlines, capturing reliefs that most businesses only hear about once the window has already closed.
Where a genuine error is found in a past period, voluntary payment through DRC-03 before any notice issues closes the matter at minimal cost, instead of letting it ripen into a demand with penalty.
When GST knowledge lives inside a single staff member, their resignation becomes a compliance crisis. With our firm as the standing process, your filings continue uninterrupted regardless of internal staff changes.
We spot suppliers who stop uploading invoices or filing returns and alert you before their default becomes your blocked credit, letting you recover amounts or switch vendors while the exposure is still small.
Continuous filing protects you from the suspension and cancellation proceedings that hit chronic non-filers, so your registration, e-way bill access and ability to issue tax invoices are never suddenly cut off.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Input tax credit | Purchase register matched against GSTR-2B each period, with defaulting suppliers chased so eligible credit is actually captured. | Credit claimed from books alone; mismatches with GSTR-2B mean lost credit or excess claims that invite departmental queries. |
| Time cost | Roughly an hour a month to send data and approve drafts; the portal work, reconciliation and follow-up are ours. | Hours every month lost to portal errors, JSON files, OTP failures and reworking figures — usually on the due date itself. |
| Keeping up with changes | Rate changes, portal updates and new thresholds such as the Rs.5 crore e-invoice limit are tracked by us and applied to your case proactively. | Changes are discovered after the fact — often through a rejected filing, a blocked e-way bill or a departmental letter. |
| Late fees and interest | Filings go in ahead of statutory dates, so the Rs.50-per-day late fee and 18 percent interest never arise. | Late fees accumulate silently every delayed day, and interest on unpaid tax runs at 18 percent per annum. |
| When a notice arrives | A professional drafts the reply in the department's format and files it within the statutory window, such as thirty days for ASMT-11. | You face departmental language alone, and a missed reply deadline can convert a simple query into a demand with penalty. |
| Portal credentials and data | Logins handled by a small engaged team under strict confidentiality, with credentials stored securely and never passed onward. | Passwords circulating on chats with freelancers and part-timers, and no accountability for who has accessed your business data. |
Bharathi Colony is a residential street in Alwarthirunagar, about 900 m south of the centre of Alwarthirunagar. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — Thiruvalluvar Salai (about 300 m); Arumugam Nayanar Street (about 300 m); Veerappa Nagar (about 350 m); Vembuliamman Koil Street (about 500 m) — so a site visit on Bharathi Colony can usually be combined with other work in Alwarthirunagar on the same trip. For GST purposes an address on Bharathi Colony falls under the Chennai South CGST Commissionerate, and the Alwarthirunagar pincode is 600087.

Section 11A, CGST Act, 2017, inserted by the Finance (No. 2) Act, 2024, brought into force from 1 November 2024 vide Notification No. 17/2024-Central Tax · 2024-11-01
Section 11A empowers the Government, on the GST Council's recommendation, to notify that tax which was not levied or was short levied because of a generally prevalent trade practice need not be recovered. This gives statutory backing to the long-used device of regularising past periods on an 'as is where is' basis when a circular clarifies a disputed rate or classification, and protects taxpayers who followed the industry-wide understanding in good faith.
What it means for you: When a CBIC circular clarifies a rate you were charging differently, check whether the past period has been regularised before agreeing to pay any differential demand.
GSTN Advisory dated 28 January 2025 — biometric-based Aadhaar authentication, Tamil Nadu and Himachal Pradesh · 2025-01-28
GSTN rolled out biometric-based Aadhaar authentication and document verification for GST registration applicants in Tamil Nadu and Himachal Pradesh. Applications identified by data analytics and risk parameters are routed for biometric verification, requiring the applicant to book a slot and visit a GST Suvidha Kendra with original documents for photograph and fingerprint capture. Rule 8 of the CGST Rules was amended to support this risk-based process.
Why this matters: New applicants in Chennai should keep originals ready and complete the GSK biometric visit promptly, as registration is not granted until verification is done.
Circular No. 57/31/2018-GST dated 4 September 2018 · 2018-09-04
CBIC explained the scope of the principal-agent relationship in Schedule I. The deciding test is the invoice: where the agent issues the invoice for the supply of goods in his own name, or receives goods in his own name from the supplier on behalf of the principal, the transaction between principal and agent is a deemed supply even without consideration. A commission agent who merely arranges a sale and never invoices the goods in his own name is not covered.
Why this matters: Commission agents in Chennai's wholesale markets should look at whose name appears on the invoice, since that single fact decides whether compulsory registration and deemed-supply tax apply.
