The 11th and the 20th arrive every month whether you are ready or not. Our Chennai team keeps businesses in Choolai permanently ahead of both, delivering GST Refund RFD-01 from Rs.4,999 with reconciliation, senior review and WhatsApp acknowledgements as standard.
We serve businesses on and around General Collins Road — document pickup, in-person consultation at our Porur office, or fully online over WhatsApp.
Share your number — a senior GST consultant calls you back within 30 minutes.
Choolai is a goods-movement hub of hardware merchants, steel and timber traders, printing presses and godowns concentrated on Choolai High Road and Sydenhams Road. Consignments constantly cross the Rs.50,000 e-way bill threshold, and reverse charge on goods transport agency freight is routinely missed, making e-way bill discipline and RCM reporting in GSTR-3B the area's chief compliance pain. Years of working in and around Choolai have shown us where GST trouble actually begins here — supplier defaults, classification doubts and deadlines lost in busy trading weeks. Our GST Refund RFD-01 is built to close precisely those gaps, and the same team supports businesses in Purasawalkam and Vepery, each with one point of contact and a compliance calendar maintained on their behalf.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
Sellers on Amazon, Flipkart and other marketplaces face a three-way match between marketplace reports, GSTR-1 and the TCS the operator deposits against your GSTIN. We reconcile all three every period and accept the TCS credit, so sellers in Choolai never leave marketplace deductions unclaimed.
From filing the LUT in RFD-11 at the start of each financial year to preparing RFD-01 refund claims with complete annexures, we know what makes a refund file move. Exporters and inverted-duty businesses come to us specifically for this.
Freight paid to transporters, advocate fees, imported services and other notified supplies attract GST under reverse charge, with self-invoicing where the supplier is unregistered. We maintain a running RCM check every period, because this is the liability self-filers most consistently miss.
If your GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B start drifting apart, if a large supplier stops filing, or if your turnover approaches the e-invoice threshold, we flag it to you immediately. Early warnings from our side are cheaper than departmental letters later.
Businesses with registrations in more than one State, or multiple branches under one PAN, face cross-charge, stock transfer and input service distribution questions that single-GSTIN firms never see. We keep all your registrations consistent with each other, not just compliant individually.
Whenever the GST Council notifies a late-fee waiver or an amnesty window for pending returns or old demands, we check every client's history against it and act within the deadline. Relief that businesses in Choolai would otherwise read about after it lapsed reaches our clients in time.
We identify the correct refund category, confirm the two-year limitation from the relevant date, and compute the admissible amount using the formula prescribed under the rules.
Invoices, shipping bills, FIRCs, the LUT and ledger extracts are compiled into the prescribed statements, and gaps that commonly cause deficiency memos are fixed upfront.
The refund application is filed on the portal with all annexures and declarations, and the acknowledgement in RFD-02 is tracked within the statutory fifteen days.
We respond to any deficiency memo in RFD-03 or show cause notice in RFD-08, appear through written submissions, and pursue provisional refund where the category permits.
We track the sanction order in RFD-06 and payment advice in RFD-05, confirm the credit in your validated bank account, and archive the complete claim file.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: Application filed in 3-5 working days; sanction typically within 60 days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Advances received for services attract GST on receipt while advances for goods generally do not; applying this distinction correctly means you neither prepay tax unnecessarily nor omit a liability that surfaces later with interest.
New branches, new product lines and interstate sales all carry GST consequences. With standing professional support, you expand knowing registrations, invoicing and returns will keep pace with the business.
The hours you or your accountant spent wrestling with the portal, JSON errors and reconciliations every month return to sales, operations and customers, while trained hands manage the compliance in the background.
Tax positions, rate choices and credit calls are documented as they are made, so if a question arises years later, the reasoning and evidence are on file rather than in someone's fading memory.
Sales returns, discounts and price revisions are adjusted through properly reported credit notes within the statutory window, so you never keep paying tax on turnover you have already reversed.
Amounts deducted by government buyers as GST TDS and by marketplaces as TCS are accepted on the portal each period, so money withheld against your GSTIN actually reaches your cash ledger instead of lying unclaimed.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Annual return preparation | Monthly reconciliations roll naturally into GSTR-9, filed comfortably before 31 December with figures already agreed through the year. | Twelve months of unmatched data reconstructed in December, with differences discovered too late to be corrected cleanly. |
| Time cost | Roughly an hour a month to send data and approve drafts; the portal work, reconciliation and follow-up are ours. | Hours every month lost to portal errors, JSON files, OTP failures and reworking figures — usually on the due date itself. |
| Goods in transit | E-way bills generated correctly and matched to invoices, so consignments pass roadside inspections without detention or penalty. | A defective or missing e-way bill can mean detention at a checkpoint, with penalties that dwarf the tax on the consignment. |
| Portal credentials and data | Logins handled by a small engaged team under strict confidentiality, with credentials stored securely and never passed onward. | Passwords circulating on chats with freelancers and part-timers, and no accountability for who has accessed your business data. |
| Record keeping | Every return, challan, acknowledgement and working paper archived in an organised folder, retrievable in minutes years later. | Documents scattered across email, downloads and old phones; assembling records for a bank or an audit takes days. |
| Late fees and interest | Filings go in ahead of statutory dates, so the Rs.50-per-day late fee and 18 percent interest never arise. | Late fees accumulate silently every delayed day, and interest on unpaid tax runs at 18 percent per annum. |
General Collins Road is a main connecting road in Choolai, about 850 m south of the centre of Choolai. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — Maddox Street (about 150 m); Salai Street (about 200 m); Arani Muthu Street (about 250 m); Narayana Guru Salai (about 250 m) — so a site visit on General Collins Road can usually be combined with other work in Choolai on the same trip. For GST purposes an address on General Collins Road falls under the Chennai North CGST Commissionerate, and the Choolai pincode is 600112.
Road classification and position from OpenStreetMap; distances are straight-line and approximate. Jurisdiction must be confirmed on your own registration certificate.
A working knowledge of recent instruments and judgments is what separates a defensible filing from a risky one.
Circular No. 111/30/2019-GST dated 3 October 2019 · 2019-10-03
Where a refund earlier rejected in FORM GST RFD-06 is allowed by an appellate authority or court, CBEC clarified that the applicant must file a fresh application in FORM GST RFD-01 under the category refund on account of assessment, provisional assessment, appeal or any other order, quoting the reference number and date of the favourable order. Because the amount debited when the original claim was filed is not re-credited while the appeal is pending, it need not be debited a second time, and the officer re-credits only whatever remains rejected after the appellate order, following the guidance in Circular No. 59/33/2018-GST.
Why this matters: Winning the appeal is only half the job; the money comes only after the correct RFD-01 category is used with the order reference.
19th GST Council Meeting (video conference) — 17 July 2017 (Signed Minutes, Agenda Item 2; CBIC Press Release dated 17 July 2017) · 2017-07-17
Meeting by video conference barely a fortnight after rollout, the Council found that the combination of a twenty-eight per cent rate and the compensation cess rates originally fixed had left cigarettes bearing less tax than under the earlier excise and VAT regime, handing manufacturers a windfall. The Council recommended an increase in the compensation cess rates on cigarettes so as to align the total GST incidence with the pre-GST level, and the revised cess rates were notified with effect from 18 July 2017.
Practical effect: It showed early on that the Council would move within days to correct a rate that produced an unintended windfall, in either direction.
Notification No. 21/2021-Central Tax (Rate), dated 31 December 2021 · 2021-12-31
On 31 December 2021, the same day as the 46th GST Council meeting convened at the instance of Tamil Nadu and other States, the Government superseded the November notification. The proposed increase on textiles was dropped, so fabrics, yarn, garments and made-ups continued at five per cent, but the footwear change survived and all footwear became taxable at twelve per cent from 1 January 2022 irrespective of price. The value threshold that had earlier kept cheap footwear at five per cent disappeared.
What to do about it: From January 2022 to September 2025 every pair of footwear attracted twelve per cent regardless of price, and rate mistakes in that window are a common scrutiny point.
