GST Appeal APL-01 in Vengaivasal does not have to mean portal errors, guesswork and due-date tension. For a fixed fee starting Rs.9,999, an accountable Chennai practice prepares, reconciles, reviews and files — and remains answerable long after the acknowledgement arrives.

Vengaivasal, on the Santhosapuram - Vengaivasal - Mambakkam Road beside Madambakkam Road, is a former panchayat now filled with plotted layouts, building-material yards, borewell and earthmoving contractors, brick and ready-mix suppliers and neighbourhood retail around Sudarshan Nagar. Civil contractors billing local bodies here misapply the revised works-contract rates and overlook tax deduction under Section 51 on government and panchayat contracts. That commercial character shapes the GST questions we see from Vengaivasal every week — registrations, monthly returns, credit mismatches and departmental queries. We deliver GST Appeal APL-01 for businesses in Vengaivasal, and clients also reach us from Sithalapakkam and Medavakkam nearby. Documents move over WhatsApp, drafts are approved before filing, and a senior consultant reviews every submission, so distance from our office never dilutes the quality of the work.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
Tally, Zoho Books, Busy, marketplace reports, plain Excel or even a handwritten bill book — we take your data in whatever form your Vengaivasal business already maintains it. You are never forced to buy new software or retrain staff just to become our client.
Composition dealers have their own rulebook — CMP-08 every quarter, GSTR-4 annually by 30 June, bills of supply instead of tax invoices, and a turnover ceiling that must be watched. We handle each of these correctly so the scheme's simplicity never turns into a violation.
Every new client receives a review of their recent returns before we file anything — unclaimed credit, GSTR-1 versus GSTR-3B drift, and exposures worth correcting quietly. Businesses in Vengaivasal often discover in this first review exactly why their previous arrangement was costing them money.
Every acknowledgement, challan, computation sheet and filed return is saved and shared with you in an organised folder. When a bank, buyer or GST officer asks for a document from two years ago, it reaches you the same day without any scrambling.
You deal with one accountable person who knows your business, your turnover pattern and your filing history. No repeating your story to a new voice every month, and no file falling between two desks when a deadline is approaching.
Send your query on call or WhatsApp and you hear back the same working day, usually within a few hours. When a due date is close or a notice has landed, waiting two days for a reply is simply not acceptable, and we know it.
We analyse the order for factual, computational and legal errors, confirm the three-month limitation position, and agree the grounds on which the appeal will proceed.
The disputed tax is quantified, the mandatory 10% pre-deposit is computed, and payment is made through the cash or credit ledger so recovery of the balance is stayed.
The statement of facts and grounds of appeal are drafted with supporting reconciliations and judicial precedents, and reviewed with you before filing.
The appeal is filed on the portal in Form APL-01 with annexures, and the final acknowledgement in APL-02 is obtained after submission of the certified order copy.
We file written submissions, appear at the personal hearing, address the authority's questions, and follow the matter through to the appellate order in APL-04.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: Appeal filed within 2-3 weeks of engagement; statutory limit 3 months · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
A fixed professional fee is almost always cheaper than the combination of late fees, interest, lost credit and staff hours that informal, last-minute compliance quietly accumulates over a year.
Large buyers check vendor GST compliance before releasing payments and renewing contracts. A clean filing record with timely GSTR-1 uploads keeps your invoices reflecting in their GSTR-2B and your payments unblocked.
When a business winds up, proper cancellation and a timely final return ensure the file is genuinely closed, so no demand or late-fee computation resurfaces against you long after the shutters came down.
Loan applications and government tenders routinely demand GST returns and registration documents. With everything filed and archived properly, you can produce a complete compliance file within hours instead of days.
New branches, new product lines and interstate sales all carry GST consequences. With standing professional support, you expand knowing registrations, invoicing and returns will keep pace with the business.
Sales returns, discounts and price revisions are adjusted through properly reported credit notes within the statutory window, so you never keep paying tax on turnover you have already reversed.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Input tax credit | Purchase register matched against GSTR-2B each period, with defaulting suppliers chased so eligible credit is actually captured. | Credit claimed from books alone; mismatches with GSTR-2B mean lost credit or excess claims that invite departmental queries. |
| Refund claims | RFD-01 filed with complete statements and annexures, tracked from ARN to bank credit, with any deficiency memo answered promptly. | Incomplete claims bounce back as deficiency memos while the refund sits unclaimed for months and working capital stays blocked. |
| Risk of notices | GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-2B reconciled before filing, removing the mismatches that trigger most scrutiny notices. | Inconsistent figures across returns quietly build a mismatch history that surfaces later as ASMT-10 scrutiny or a demand notice. |
| Keeping up with changes | Rate changes, portal updates and new thresholds such as the Rs.5 crore e-invoice limit are tracked by us and applied to your case proactively. | Changes are discovered after the fact — often through a rejected filing, a blocked e-way bill or a departmental letter. |
| Record keeping | Every return, challan, acknowledgement and working paper archived in an organised folder, retrievable in minutes years later. | Documents scattered across email, downloads and old phones; assembling records for a bank or an audit takes days. |
| Registration and amendments | Query-resistant applications prepared correctly the first time, with supporting documents matched to what proper officers actually verify. | Repeated clarification memos and resubmissions, with weeks lost because a rent agreement or premises photograph did not meet expectations. |
GST law moves through notifications, circulars and court decisions. These are the ones changing how filings are prepared right now.
Godrej Sara Lee Ltd v. Excise and Taxation Officer-cum-Assessing Authority — Supreme Court, judgment dated 01-02-2023 · 2023-02-01
The Supreme Court held that a High Court should not decline to hear a writ petition merely because a statutory appeal is available, particularly where the challenge raises a pure question of law or jurisdiction and no disputed facts need investigation. Availability of an alternative remedy is a matter of judicial discretion, not a rule of compulsion. The High Court's refusal to consider the matter was set aside.
Why this matters: A Chennai taxpayer with a clean legal issue, such as limitation or jurisdiction, can press for a writ remedy instead of the appeal route.
Notification No. 39/2021-Central Tax · 2021-12-21
This notification brought a group of Finance Act, 2021 amendments into force from 1 January 2022. The most significant is clause (aa) of Section 16(2), under which credit can be taken only if the invoice has been furnished by the supplier in its outward supply statement and communicated to the recipient. Also brought into force were the explanation to Section 75(12) treating outward supplies declared in GSTR-1 but not paid in GSTR-3B as self-assessed tax recoverable directly, and the widening of provisional attachment under Section 83.
Practical effect: From January 2022 a Chennai buyer's credit depends entirely on the supplier filing correctly, and a GSTR-1 to GSTR-3B gap can be recovered without any show cause notice.
30th GST Council Meeting (video conference) — 28 September 2018 (PIB Release ID 1547891) · 2018-09-28
Meeting shortly after the Kerala floods, the Council discussed that State's proposal to impose a cess on SGST to fund rehabilitation and flood-related works. Because GST had removed the States' independent power to levy such a cess, the Council constituted a seven-member Group of Ministers convened by the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, with members from Assam, Kerala, Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab and Uttarakhand, to examine modalities for revenue mobilisation in case of natural calamities and disasters, reporting by 31 October 2018.
How we apply it: This process produced the Kerala flood cess of 2019, the only State-specific GST cess so far, and set the template for how any similar Tamil Nadu levy would have to be approved.

Upload the PDF to our free GST Notice Analyser. It identifies which of 34 notice types you have, pulls out the DIN, GSTIN and tax period, reads the reply date printed on the notice and tells you plainly whether that date has already passed — along with the documents and reconciliations you will need. No payment, no account. If the notice does not state a date we can read, it says so rather than guessing one for you.
