Most of it happens without you leaving your shop counter. Share your documents on WhatsApp, approve the prepared draft, and your GSTR-9 Annual Return is completed on the portal from Rs.4,999 — by a Chennai team that businesses across Guindy have relied on for years.
Share your number — a senior GST consultant calls you back within 30 minutes.
Finding dependable GSTR-9 Annual Return in Guindy usually means choosing between a distant online portal and an overloaded local accountant. Guindy is Chennai's manufacturing and engineering heartland, from the SIDCO and Thiru Vi Ka industrial estates to IT parks such as Olympia Technology Park off Mount Poonamallee Road. Factories juggle job-work documentation, RCM on goods transport agency freight and 18 per cent interest exposure when GSTR-2B mismatches force ITC reversals, making monthly purchase reconciliation non-negotiable. We offer a third option: a professional Chennai GST practice that treats Guindy, Saidapet and Alandur as home ground, responds the same working day, files ahead of deadlines, and stands behind its work if a notice ever arrives on a return we prepared.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
Goods sent to job workers must move on delivery challans, return within the statutory period, and be reported in ITC-04. We track every outward and return leg for manufacturing clients in Guindy, so inputs sent out for processing never quietly convert into a deemed supply carrying tax and interest.
Send your query on call or WhatsApp and you hear back the same working day, usually within a few hours. When a due date is close or a notice has landed, waiting two days for a reply is simply not acceptable, and we know it.
You deal with one accountable person who knows your business, your turnover pattern and your filing history. No repeating your story to a new voice every month, and no file falling between two desks when a deadline is approaching.
GSTR-3B late fees run at Rs.50 per day and interest at 18 percent per annum on unpaid tax. Our internal cut-offs sit days ahead of statutory due dates precisely so that our clients never hand the department a rupee they did not owe.
Your sales figures, supplier lists and login credentials are handled only by our engaged team, stored securely and never shared with any third party. Many of our clients in Guindy compete with each other; complete confidentiality is a condition of our work.
New GSTIN applications, core field amendments through REG-14, additional places of business — we prepare complete, query-resistant applications the first time. Clean paperwork is the difference between smooth approval and weeks lost answering clarification memos from the department.
We gather all twelve months of filed returns, GSTR-2B data, your annual books and the ITC register, and build a single year-wise working file.
Outward supplies per books are matched with GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B, and every difference from credit notes, amendments or timing is documented with reasons.
Credit claimed in GSTR-3B is reconciled with GSTR-2B and books, then bifurcated into inputs, input services and capital goods as GSTR-9 tables require.
We share the draft GSTR-9 with a note on any shortfall. If tax is payable, we compute 18% interest and prepare DRC-03 for payment.
After your sign-off we file GSTR-9 before 31 December, file any DRC-03, and hand over the acknowledgement with complete reconciliation working papers.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: 5-7 working days; statutory due date 31 December · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Systematic GSTR-2B matching and supplier follow-up mean input tax credit that was leaking away under self-filing is captured each month, directly reducing the cash you pay out with every GSTR-3B.
Filed returns, challans, reconciliations and working papers are archived in order from day one. If an audit or departmental verification comes, your file is ready the same week, not assembled in a panic.
You know your expected GST outflow days before the 20th, not on the night of filing. That advance visibility lets you plan payments, collections and bank balances instead of scrambling for funds at the deadline.
Because monthly data is reconciled as it happens, GSTR-9 preparation before the 31 December due date becomes a review exercise rather than a painful reconstruction of twelve untidy months.
The hours you or your accountant spent wrestling with the portal, JSON errors and reconciliations every month return to sales, operations and customers, while trained hands manage the compliance in the background.
Correct e-way bills matched to correct invoices mean your consignments clear roadside inspections cleanly, avoiding detention proceedings whose penalties can far exceed the tax on the goods being carried.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Keeping up with changes | Rate changes, portal updates and new thresholds such as the Rs.5 crore e-invoice limit are tracked by us and applied to your case proactively. | Changes are discovered after the fact — often through a rejected filing, a blocked e-way bill or a departmental letter. |
| Due-date tracking | A maintained compliance calendar with internal cut-offs days before the 11th and the 20th; we chase you for data, not the other way around. | Deadlines remembered from memory or phone alarms; one busy week and the return slips past the due date. |
| Goods in transit | E-way bills generated correctly and matched to invoices, so consignments pass roadside inspections without detention or penalty. | A defective or missing e-way bill can mean detention at a checkpoint, with penalties that dwarf the tax on the consignment. |
| Portal credentials and data | Logins handled by a small engaged team under strict confidentiality, with credentials stored securely and never passed onward. | Passwords circulating on chats with freelancers and part-timers, and no accountability for who has accessed your business data. |
| Risk of notices | GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-2B reconciled before filing, removing the mismatches that trigger most scrutiny notices. | Inconsistent figures across returns quietly build a mismatch history that surfaces later as ASMT-10 scrutiny or a demand notice. |
| Record keeping | Every return, challan, acknowledgement and working paper archived in an organised folder, retrievable in minutes years later. | Documents scattered across email, downloads and old phones; assembling records for a bank or an audit takes days. |
Positions we rely on when preparing filings and drafting replies — with the exact citation, so you can verify each one.
4th GST Council Meeting, New Delhi — 3-4 November 2016 (Signed Minutes, Agenda Item 3) · 2016-11-03
Summing up a long debate over five-band and six-band options, the Chairperson proposed and the Council accepted a structure with one exempt category covering food grains and similar essentials, a lower rate of five per cent for goods consumed by vulnerable sections, standard rates of 12 and 18 per cent, and a higher slab of 28 per cent. A committee of officers was directed to fit individual goods and services into those slabs. Proposals for a 40 per cent slab were rejected.
How we apply it: Every rate dispute a Chennai business faces today traces back to this four-slab architecture and to the fitment exercise it launched.
GSTN Advisory dated 9 December 2024 — GSTR-9/9C for FY 2023-24 · 2024-12-09
For FY 2023-24 onwards, Table 8A of the annual return GSTR-9 is auto-populated from GSTR-2B instead of GSTR-2A, following Notification No. 12/2024 and 20/2024-Central Tax. GSTN's advisory explains scenario-wise how invoices of one year appearing in the next year's GSTR-2B should be reported, why differences between Table 8A and manually entered Table 8C can legitimately arise, and how to reconcile ITC across Tables 8, 12 and 13.
Practical effect: Prepare a GSTR-2B based ITC reconciliation before filing GSTR-9, and document genuine 8A versus 8C timing differences to answer later scrutiny.
Taghar Vasudeva Ambrish v. Appellate Authority for Advance Ruling, Karnataka, W.P. No. 14891 of 2020, Karnataka High Court, judgment dated 7 February 2022, affirmed in State of Karnataka v. Taghar Vasudeva Ambrish, Civil Appeal Nos. 7846-7847 of 2023, 2025 INSC 1380, judgment dated 4 December 2025 · 2022-02-07
Co-owners had let a residential building to a company that ran it as a hostel for students and working professionals. The advance ruling authorities denied exemption on the view that the lessee was using the property commercially. The High Court disagreed and held that leasing residential premises used as a hostel falls within Entry 13 of the IGST services exemption notification, since that entry does not require the lessee itself to occupy the premises as a residence. The Supreme Court dismissed the State's appeals on 4 December 2025 and confirmed that the end use as a residence, not the intermediate commercial layer, decides the question.
How we apply it: Chennai property owners letting buildings to hostel operators now have Supreme Court backing for periods before 18 July 2022, though later periods must also account for the registered-tenant reverse charge.
