GST Notice Reply in Kotturpuram does not have to mean portal errors, guesswork and due-date tension. For a fixed fee starting Rs.2,999, an accountable Chennai practice prepares, reconciles, reviews and files — and remains answerable long after the acknowledgement arrives.
We serve businesses on and around Dhandayudhapandi 2nd Street — document pickup, in-person consultation at our Porur office, or fully online over WhatsApp.
Share your number — a senior GST consultant calls you back within 30 minutes.
Kotturpuram, on the south bank of the Adyar around the Anna Centenary Library and the Housing Board blocks, is a professionals' quarter: independent consultants, architects, tutors and clinics work along Gandhi Mandapam Road and the numbered Main Roads. Many consultants billing from home offices cross the Rs.20 lakh services threshold quietly, and those serving overseas clients need a live LUT before invoicing exports without IGST. From a first registration to the annual return, the full range of GST Notice Reply is available to Kotturpuram businesses without stepping far from the shop or office — documents travel over WhatsApp, and our Chennai premises are open to anyone who prefers a face-to-face discussion. We serve Adyar and Nandanam on the same footing, applying one rule everywhere: reconcile before filing, file before the due date, and keep the client informed at every stage.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
Most GST notices trace back to mismatches between GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-2B. We reconcile these before filing, not after a notice arrives, so your returns are internally consistent and the most common triggers for ASMT-10 scrutiny simply never appear.
You receive a WhatsApp message when documents are received, when the draft is ready for your approval, and when the return or application is filed, along with the acknowledgement. You never have to call and ask what is happening with your file.
Your sales figures, supplier lists and login credentials are handled only by our engaged team, stored securely and never shared with any third party. Many of our clients in Kotturpuram compete with each other; complete confidentiality is a condition of our work.
Every acknowledgement, challan, computation sheet and filed return is saved and shared with you in an organised folder. When a bank, buyer or GST officer asks for a document from two years ago, it reaches you the same day without any scrambling.
Winding up attracts its own GST obligations — the cancellation application, reversal of credit on closing stock, and the final return in GSTR-10 within three months. We close registrations properly so a business you shut in Kotturpuram never writes back to you as a demand years later.
No filing leaves our desk on a junior's judgement alone. A senior GST practitioner reviews your figures, ITC claims and tax computation before submission, so errors are caught at our table and not by the department months later through a notice.
We read the notice line by line, identify the section invoked, the periods covered, the exact information sought and the deadline for response.
The figures alleged in the notice are reconciled against your filed returns, GSTR-2B and books, so the reply is grounded in verifiable numbers rather than assertions.
We draft a professional, point-wise reply addressing every allegation, attaching reconciliations, invoices and legal support, and share the draft with you for approval.
The approved reply is filed on the portal within the deadline. Where a small genuine liability exists, we advise payment through DRC-03 to limit interest and penalty.
We monitor the portal for the officer's response, attend to any further queries or hearing dates, and pursue the matter until a closure or order is received.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: Draft reply in 3-5 working days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Whether moving between composition and regular scheme, opting into QRMP, or crossing the e-invoice threshold at Rs.5 crore, transitions are planned in advance rather than discovered after a compliance breach.
Where a genuine error is found in a past period, voluntary payment through DRC-03 before any notice issues closes the matter at minimal cost, instead of letting it ripen into a demand with penalty.
Illness, travel or a family function no longer threatens a deadline. With a standing external process holding your calendar and data trail, filings proceed on schedule whether or not you are at your desk.
Your scheme choice — regular, composition or QRMP — is re-examined as turnover and margins change, so you are always paying under the structure that legitimately costs your business the least.
Advances received for services attract GST on receipt while advances for goods generally do not; applying this distinction correctly means you neither prepay tax unnecessarily nor omit a liability that surfaces later with interest.
Loan applications and government tenders routinely demand GST returns and registration documents. With everything filed and archived properly, you can produce a complete compliance file within hours instead of days.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Time cost | Roughly an hour a month to send data and approve drafts; the portal work, reconciliation and follow-up are ours. | Hours every month lost to portal errors, JSON files, OTP failures and reworking figures — usually on the due date itself. |
| Refund claims | RFD-01 filed with complete statements and annexures, tracked from ARN to bank credit, with any deficiency memo answered promptly. | Incomplete claims bounce back as deficiency memos while the refund sits unclaimed for months and working capital stays blocked. |
| Keeping up with changes | Rate changes, portal updates and new thresholds such as the Rs.5 crore e-invoice limit are tracked by us and applied to your case proactively. | Changes are discovered after the fact — often through a rejected filing, a blocked e-way bill or a departmental letter. |
| Annual return preparation | Monthly reconciliations roll naturally into GSTR-9, filed comfortably before 31 December with figures already agreed through the year. | Twelve months of unmatched data reconstructed in December, with differences discovered too late to be corrected cleanly. |
| Goods in transit | E-way bills generated correctly and matched to invoices, so consignments pass roadside inspections without detention or penalty. | A defective or missing e-way bill can mean detention at a checkpoint, with penalties that dwarf the tax on the consignment. |
| Due-date tracking | A maintained compliance calendar with internal cut-offs days before the 11th and the 20th; we chase you for data, not the other way around. | Deadlines remembered from memory or phone alarms; one busy week and the return slips past the due date. |
Dhandayudhapandi 2nd Street is a residential street in Kotturpuram, about 350 m north of the centre of Kotturpuram. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — Dhandayudhapandi 1st Street (about 50 m); Vellaiyan Road (about 50 m); Ambadi Road (about 150 m); Arunachalam Road (about 200 m) — so a site visit on Dhandayudhapandi 2nd Street can usually be combined with other work in Kotturpuram on the same trip. For GST purposes an address on Dhandayudhapandi 2nd Street falls under the Chennai South CGST Commissionerate, and the Kotturpuram pincode is 600085.

M/s. Jeyyam Global Foods (P) Ltd v. Union of India — Madras High Court (Madurai Bench), W.P.(MD) No. 937 of 2019, decided 23 January 2019 (G.R. Swaminathan J.) · 2019-01-23
Goods were detained because the squad officer disagreed with the HSN classification and rate adopted by the consignor. The Madras High Court quashed the detention, holding that a squad officer may intercept goods and prepare the record but cannot finally decide questions of classification or rate, which belong to the jurisdictional assessing officer. The Court directed the Commissioner of Commercial Taxes to instruct squad officers not to detain goods where there is a bona fide dispute about exigibility or rate of tax.
What to do about it: If your consignment is detained purely because an officer prefers a different HSN code or rate, that dispute belongs before your assessing officer, not at the roadside.
Section 11A, CGST Act, 2017, inserted by the Finance (No. 2) Act, 2024, brought into force from 1 November 2024 vide Notification No. 17/2024-Central Tax · 2024-11-01
Section 11A empowers the Government, on the GST Council's recommendation, to notify that tax which was not levied or was short levied because of a generally prevalent trade practice need not be recovered. This gives statutory backing to the long-used device of regularising past periods on an 'as is where is' basis when a circular clarifies a disputed rate or classification, and protects taxpayers who followed the industry-wide understanding in good faith.
Practical effect: When a CBIC circular clarifies a rate you were charging differently, check whether the past period has been regularised before agreeing to pay any differential demand.
35th GST Council Meeting, New Delhi — 21 June 2019 · 2019-06-21
At the first meeting chaired by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, the Council decided to introduce an electronic invoicing system in a phase-wise manner for business-to-business transactions. The press release recorded that e-invoicing would help taxpayers with backward integration and automation of tax-relevant processes and would help authorities combat evasion, with Phase 1 proposed to be voluntary and rolled out from January 2020. This decision is the origin of the Invoice Registration Portal, the IRN and the QR code now mandatory for most mid-sized and large businesses.
Why this matters: Every later e-invoicing threshold reduction, down to the Rs 5 crore limit now applicable, traces back to this decision, so businesses crossing a threshold must set up e-invoicing from the first day of the next financial year.

Upload the PDF to our free GST Notice Analyser. It identifies which of 34 notice types you have, pulls out the DIN, GSTIN and tax period, reads the reply date printed on the notice and tells you plainly whether that date has already passed — along with the documents and reconciliations you will need. No payment, no account. If the notice does not state a date we can read, it says so rather than guessing one for you.

The analyser reports what your notice says and the statutory position for that form. It is not a substitute for a consultant reading your actual records, and a reply should be reviewed before you file it.
