Whether you are a first-time registrant or an established trader, GST Notice Reply in Otteri deserves a specialist rather than a side job. From Rs.2,999, our GST-focused Chennai practice runs the entire process on written checklists and senior-reviewed submissions.
We serve businesses on and around Malayappan Street — document pickup, in-person consultation at our Porur office, or fully online over WhatsApp.
Share your number — a senior GST consultant calls you back within 30 minutes.
Otteri is ringed by Konnur High Road, Strahans Road, Cooks Road and Brick Kiln Road, a weaver-and-tailor quarter turned retail belt of handloom and readymade garment units, printing presses, bakeries, mutton and vegetable vendors and hardware shops around the Otteri Nallah and Medavakkam Tank Road. Small traders here trip over the five and twelve per cent garment rate split, QRMP filing and GSTR-2B mismatches. For businesses here, staying on the right side of GST is not optional — buyers check compliance, and the department's systems match every return. Our firm provides GST Notice Reply to clients across Otteri and neighbouring Purasawalkam and Perambur, combining Chennai jurisdiction familiarity with disciplined deadline tracking. Whether you run a shop, a service practice or a growing trading concern, we handle the portal work so you can stay focused on the business itself.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
Traders, manufacturers, contractors, e-commerce sellers, professionals and service exporters — we have handled GST for all of them. Whatever mix of goods and services your Otteri business supplies, the rate, classification and place-of-supply questions have almost certainly crossed our desk before.
A registration cancelled for non-filing is not the end of the road. We bring the pending returns up to date, clear the dues and file the revocation application in REG-21 within the permitted window, restoring suspended and cancelled GSTINs to active status.
Freight paid to transporters, advocate fees, imported services and other notified supplies attract GST under reverse charge, with self-invoicing where the supplier is unregistered. We maintain a running RCM check every period, because this is the liability self-filers most consistently miss.
A new GSTIN comes with obligations nobody explains at approval — the invoice series rules, displaying the registration certificate and GSTIN at your premises, and the first return cycle. We walk new registrants in Otteri through each of these so month one starts correctly.
Whenever the GST Council notifies a late-fee waiver or an amnesty window for pending returns or old demands, we check every client's history against it and act within the deadline. Relief that businesses in Otteri would otherwise read about after it lapsed reaches our clients in time.
Every new client receives a review of their recent returns before we file anything — unclaimed credit, GSTR-1 versus GSTR-3B drift, and exposures worth correcting quietly. Businesses in Otteri often discover in this first review exactly why their previous arrangement was costing them money.
We read the notice line by line, identify the section invoked, the periods covered, the exact information sought and the deadline for response.
The figures alleged in the notice are reconciled against your filed returns, GSTR-2B and books, so the reply is grounded in verifiable numbers rather than assertions.
We draft a professional, point-wise reply addressing every allegation, attaching reconciliations, invoices and legal support, and share the draft with you for approval.
The approved reply is filed on the portal within the deadline. Where a small genuine liability exists, we advise payment through DRC-03 to limit interest and penalty.
We monitor the portal for the officer's response, attend to any further queries or hearing dates, and pursue the matter until a closure or order is received.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: Draft reply in 3-5 working days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
The 11th and the 20th stop being days of dread. You approve a prepared draft, we file, and the acknowledgement lands on your WhatsApp — month after month, without drama.
Rates, reverse charge, place of supply and blocked credits are applied correctly at the preparation stage, so you neither overpay tax you do not owe nor underpay and invite demands with penalty later.
Where a genuine error is found in a past period, voluntary payment through DRC-03 before any notice issues closes the matter at minimal cost, instead of letting it ripen into a demand with penalty.
Your scheme choice — regular, composition or QRMP — is re-examined as turnover and margins change, so you are always paying under the structure that legitimately costs your business the least.
Excess balances parked in the electronic cash ledger are identified during regular ledger reviews and either utilised against upcoming liability or claimed back as a refund, instead of sitting interest-free with the government.
E-commerce platforms continuously validate seller GSTINs and filing status. A consistently compliant registration keeps your listings active and settlements flowing, with no sudden suspension of your online sales channel.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Time cost | Roughly an hour a month to send data and approve drafts; the portal work, reconciliation and follow-up are ours. | Hours every month lost to portal errors, JSON files, OTP failures and reworking figures — usually on the due date itself. |
| Refund claims | RFD-01 filed with complete statements and annexures, tracked from ARN to bank credit, with any deficiency memo answered promptly. | Incomplete claims bounce back as deficiency memos while the refund sits unclaimed for months and working capital stays blocked. |
| Due-date tracking | A maintained compliance calendar with internal cut-offs days before the 11th and the 20th; we chase you for data, not the other way around. | Deadlines remembered from memory or phone alarms; one busy week and the return slips past the due date. |
| Goods in transit | E-way bills generated correctly and matched to invoices, so consignments pass roadside inspections without detention or penalty. | A defective or missing e-way bill can mean detention at a checkpoint, with penalties that dwarf the tax on the consignment. |
| Supplier defaults | Suppliers who stop uploading invoices are identified within the period and pursued before their default becomes your blocked credit. | Missing supplier invoices surface only when credit is denied, by which time recovering the amount from the vendor is difficult. |
| Input tax credit | Purchase register matched against GSTR-2B each period, with defaulting suppliers chased so eligible credit is actually captured. | Credit claimed from books alone; mismatches with GSTR-2B mean lost credit or excess claims that invite departmental queries. |
Malayappan Street is a main connecting road in Otteri, about 350 m north of the centre of Otteri. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — Bashyam 3rd Street (about 150 m); Bashyam 2nd Street (about 150 m); Bashyam 1st Street (about 150 m); Otteri Bridge (about 300 m) — so a site visit on Malayappan Street can usually be combined with other work in Otteri on the same trip. For GST purposes an address on Malayappan Street falls under the Chennai North CGST Commissionerate, and the Otteri pincode is 600012.
Road classification and position from OpenStreetMap; distances are straight-line and approximate. Jurisdiction must be confirmed on your own registration certificate.
A working knowledge of recent instruments and judgments is what separates a defensible filing from a risky one.
CBIC Instruction No. 03/2025-GST · 2025-04-17
Responding to widespread complaints about arbitrary queries, CBIC directed registration officers to seek only the documents listed in Form GST REG-01. For rented premises a valid rent agreement with the owner's ownership proof suffices; for owned premises any one ownership document is enough; no-objection certificates suffice for consent premises. Officers must not demand physical originals, question the applicant's residential address or business activity, or raise presumptive queries, and any query must be specific and approved by the Deputy or Assistant Commissioner.
Practical effect: If a registration query asks for documents outside the prescribed list, cite this instruction in your REG-04 reply and escalate to the jurisdictional Commissioner if it persists.
26th GST Council Meeting, New Delhi — 10 March 2018 (PIB Release ID 1523715) · 2018-03-10
The liability to pay tax on reverse charge basis on supplies received from unregistered persons, already suspended at the 22nd meeting until 31 March 2018, was deferred further to 30 June 2018. A Group of Ministers was appointed to examine the modalities of implementation so that no inconvenience would be caused to trade and industry. The provision was ultimately never revived in its original form and was replaced by a narrower, notified-goods version at the 28th meeting.
Practical effect: Section 9(4) reverse charge on ordinary unregistered purchases never operated after 12 October 2017, which is a complete answer to demands raised on that footing for later periods.
Notification No. 10/2018-Central Tax (Rate) dated 23.03.2018 · 2018-03-23
This notification amended Notification 08/2017-Central Tax (Rate) to extend the exemption from reverse charge on intra-State supplies received by a registered person from an unregistered supplier, moving the end date from 31 March 2018 to 30 June 2018. It was the first of several extensions granted while the Government considered how to redesign section 9(4) rather than let it revive in its original sweeping form.
Practical effect: For any Chennai scrutiny covering the first quarter of 2018-19, this notification confirms that unregistered purchases still attracted no reverse charge liability.

Upload the PDF to our free GST Notice Analyser. It identifies which of 34 notice types you have, pulls out the DIN, GSTIN and tax period, reads the reply date printed on the notice and tells you plainly whether that date has already passed — along with the documents and reconciliations you will need. No payment, no account. If the notice does not state a date we can read, it says so rather than guessing one for you.
