Share your number — a senior GST consultant calls you back within 30 minutes.
Royapuram lives off the sea and the port: the Kasimedu fishing harbour drives seafood traders, processors and exporters, while Cochrane Basin Road and Thiruvottiyur High Road host logistics yards, cold storages and marine hardware suppliers. Seafood exporters here must keep the LUT under RFD-11 renewed every financial year and chase RFD-01 refunds within the two-year window, which is the area's biggest GST task. For businesses here, staying on the right side of GST is not optional — buyers check compliance, and the department's systems match every return. Our firm provides GST Refund RFD-01 to clients across Royapuram and neighbouring Tondiarpet and Old Washermanpet, combining Chennai jurisdiction familiarity with disciplined deadline tracking. Whether you run a shop, a service practice or a growing trading concern, we handle the portal work so you can stay focused on the business itself.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
If a query, ASMT-10 scrutiny notice or DRC-01 arrives on a return we filed, we stand behind our work and help you draft the reply. You are not left alone with a departmental letter and a thirty-day clock ticking against you.
We are a Chennai firm with a physical office, not a faceless portal. If you prefer to sit across a table with your papers, you are welcome. Clients from Royapuram regularly visit us for registrations, notice discussions and annual return reviews.
OTP failures, DSC errors, stuck submissions on due-date evenings — we deal with the GST portal daily and know the workarounds. When the site misbehaves on the 20th, our team keeps retrying and escalating so your return still goes through.
GSTR-1 by the 11th, GSTR-3B by the 20th, CMP-08 by the 18th after each quarter — we maintain a compliance calendar for every client and start chasing your data well before the due date, so late fees never enter the picture.
You deal with one accountable person who knows your business, your turnover pattern and your filing history. No repeating your story to a new voice every month, and no file falling between two desks when a deadline is approaching.
You receive a WhatsApp message when documents are received, when the draft is ready for your approval, and when the return or application is filed, along with the acknowledgement. You never have to call and ask what is happening with your file.
We identify the correct refund category, confirm the two-year limitation from the relevant date, and compute the admissible amount using the formula prescribed under the rules.
Invoices, shipping bills, FIRCs, the LUT and ledger extracts are compiled into the prescribed statements, and gaps that commonly cause deficiency memos are fixed upfront.
The refund application is filed on the portal with all annexures and declarations, and the acknowledgement in RFD-02 is tracked within the statutory fifteen days.
We respond to any deficiency memo in RFD-03 or show cause notice in RFD-08, appear through written submissions, and pursue provisional refund where the category permits.
We track the sanction order in RFD-06 and payment advice in RFD-05, confirm the credit in your validated bank account, and archive the complete claim file.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: Application filed in 3-5 working days; sanction typically within 60 days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Because turnover in your GST returns is kept aligned with your accounts through the year, income tax filing and statutory audit proceed without the GST-versus-books mismatch queries that now surface routinely through data matching.
Excess balances parked in the electronic cash ledger are identified during regular ledger reviews and either utilised against upcoming liability or claimed back as a refund, instead of sitting interest-free with the government.
Your billing staff are guided on invoice fields, rates and series discipline, so mistakes are prevented where they originate — at the counter — instead of being repaired later in the returns.
Where a genuine error is found in a past period, voluntary payment through DRC-03 before any notice issues closes the matter at minimal cost, instead of letting it ripen into a demand with penalty.
Tax positions, rate choices and credit calls are documented as they are made, so if a question arises years later, the reasoning and evidence are on file rather than in someone's fading memory.
A fixed professional fee is almost always cheaper than the combination of late fees, interest, lost credit and staff hours that informal, last-minute compliance quietly accumulates over a year.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| When a notice arrives | A professional drafts the reply in the department's format and files it within the statutory window, such as thirty days for ASMT-11. | You face departmental language alone, and a missed reply deadline can convert a simple query into a demand with penalty. |
| Time cost | Roughly an hour a month to send data and approve drafts; the portal work, reconciliation and follow-up are ours. | Hours every month lost to portal errors, JSON files, OTP failures and reworking figures — usually on the due date itself. |
| Goods in transit | E-way bills generated correctly and matched to invoices, so consignments pass roadside inspections without detention or penalty. | A defective or missing e-way bill can mean detention at a checkpoint, with penalties that dwarf the tax on the consignment. |
| Portal credentials and data | Logins handled by a small engaged team under strict confidentiality, with credentials stored securely and never passed onward. | Passwords circulating on chats with freelancers and part-timers, and no accountability for who has accessed your business data. |
| Input tax credit | Purchase register matched against GSTR-2B each period, with defaulting suppliers chased so eligible credit is actually captured. | Credit claimed from books alone; mismatches with GSTR-2B mean lost credit or excess claims that invite departmental queries. |
| Record keeping | Every return, challan, acknowledgement and working paper archived in an organised folder, retrievable in minutes years later. | Documents scattered across email, downloads and old phones; assembling records for a bank or an audit takes days. |
East Kalmandapam Road is a secondary arterial road in Royapuram. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — Fakir Sahib Street (about 150 m); Hussain Maistry Street (about 150 m); Venkatadri Street (about 200 m); ADAM STREET (about 250 m) — so a site visit on East Kalmandapam Road can usually be combined with other work in Royapuram on the same trip. For GST purposes an address on East Kalmandapam Road falls under the Chennai North CGST Commissionerate, and the Royapuram pincode is 600013.

Notification No. 14/2021-Central Tax and Notification No. 24/2021-Central Tax · 2021-06-01
Invoking Section 168A once more, CBIC extended compliances whose due dates fell between 15 April 2021 and 29 June 2021 to 30 June 2021. The first notification of 1 May 2021 set the outer date at 31 May 2021 and the second of 1 June 2021 moved it to 30 June 2021. The relief covered completion of proceedings, passing of orders, issue of notices, filing of appeals, replies and applications, but excluded return filing and tax payment which were dealt with separately.
How we apply it: Any appeal, reply or refund application that fell due during the second wave gets the benefit of this extension, which is worth checking before conceding that a claim is time-barred.
Circular No. 243/37/2024-GST · 2024-12-31
CBIC clarified that transactions in vouchers are neither a supply of goods nor of services. Where a voucher is dealt with on a principal-to-principal basis, no GST arises on its sale or distribution. Where a distributor acts as an agent for a commission, GST applies on that commission. Additional services such as marketing, customisation and technology support are taxable at eighteen per cent, and unredeemed vouchers, or breakage, do not attract GST as no supply takes place.
Practical effect: Retailers and platforms issuing gift vouchers should charge GST only on the underlying goods at redemption and on any commission earned, not on the voucher sale itself.
Rich Dairy Products (India) Pvt Ltd - AAR Tamil Nadu (2019), upheld by AAAR Tamil Nadu, Order No. TN/AAAR/01/2020 · 2019
The Namakkal manufacturer made carbonated beverages containing fruit juice and sought classification under the fruit pulp or fruit juice based drinks entry taxed at 12 percent. The Authority held that once carbon dioxide is added the product is classifiable under heading 2202 10 as waters containing added carbon dioxide and flavouring, and not as fruit juice under heading 2009, so the higher rate applicable to that entry along with compensation cess applies. The Appellate Authority upheld that view.
What to do about it: Chennai beverage makers must check whether the drink is carbonated before applying the 12 percent fruit drink rate.
