Basin Bridge sits where the Grand Northern Trunk Road, Cochrane Basin Road and the Basin Bridge Junction rail yard meet, a godown-and-transport belt feeding Sowcarpet and the Mint wholesale market with packing material, paper, hardware and chemicals. Lorry booking offices line Elephant Gate Bridge Road and North Wall Road, and the Stanley Nagar, Narasimha Nagar and Ramdass Nagar tenement blocks house the labour. Goods transport agencies here contend with reverse charge on freight, e-way bill expiry and place-of-supply disputes on interstate consignments. That commercial character shapes the GST questions we see from Basin Bridge every week — registrations, monthly returns, credit mismatches and departmental queries. We deliver New GST Registration for businesses in Basin Bridge, and clients also reach us from Pulianthope and Korukkupet nearby. Documents move over WhatsApp, drafts are approved before filing, and a senior consultant reviews every submission, so distance from our office never dilutes the quality of the work.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
Goods sent to job workers must move on delivery challans, return within the statutory period, and be reported in ITC-04. We track every outward and return leg for manufacturing clients in Basin Bridge, so inputs sent out for processing never quietly convert into a deemed supply carrying tax and interest.
Every acknowledgement, challan, computation sheet and filed return is saved and shared with you in an organised folder. When a bank, buyer or GST officer asks for a document from two years ago, it reaches you the same day without any scrambling.
Businesses with registrations in more than one State, or multiple branches under one PAN, face cross-charge, stock transfer and input service distribution questions that single-GSTIN firms never see. We keep all your registrations consistent with each other, not just compliant individually.
No filing leaves our desk on a junior's judgement alone. A senior GST practitioner reviews your figures, ITC claims and tax computation before submission, so errors are caught at our table and not by the department months later through a notice.
Your sales figures, supplier lists and login credentials are handled only by our engaged team, stored securely and never shared with any third party. Many of our clients in Basin Bridge compete with each other; complete confidentiality is a condition of our work.
The annual return and, where turnover crosses Rs.5 crore, the self-certified reconciliation statement in GSTR-9C are prepared by the same team that filed your monthly returns. Nothing about your year has to be rediscovered or explained to a stranger in December.
You share PAN, Aadhaar, photographs, address proof and bank details over WhatsApp or email. We review each document against portal requirements and flag anything that could trigger an officer query.
We draft Form GST REG-01 with the correct business constitution, principal place of business, HSN or SAC codes and authorised signatory details, then share a summary for your confirmation.
The application is filed on the GST portal and we guide the authorised signatory through Aadhaar OTP authentication, which speeds up approval and usually avoids physical verification of premises.
We track the ARN daily. If the officer issues a notice in Form REG-03 seeking clarification, we draft and file the reply in Form REG-04 within the permitted time.
Once approved, we download your registration certificate in Form REG-06, help set up portal login credentials, and brief you on invoice format, return due dates and e-way bill obligations.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: 3-7 working days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
The 11th and the 20th stop being days of dread. You approve a prepared draft, we file, and the acknowledgement lands on your WhatsApp — month after month, without drama.
E-commerce platforms continuously validate seller GSTINs and filing status. A consistently compliant registration keeps your listings active and settlements flowing, with no sudden suspension of your online sales channel.
Statutory windows such as thirty days for an ASMT-11 reply are tracked from the day a notice arrives, so responses go in on time, complete, and with your best case properly presented.
Getting IGST versus CGST and SGST right at the invoice stage spares you the painful cycle of paying the correct head again and pursuing a refund of the amount paid under the wrong one.
When GST knowledge lives inside a single staff member, their resignation becomes a compliance crisis. With our firm as the standing process, your filings continue uninterrupted regardless of internal staff changes.
Consistent, reconciled returns give the department's matching systems nothing to flag. Clients who move to us after years of self-filing typically see scrutiny queries and mismatch notices fall away within a few filing cycles.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Portal credentials and data | Logins handled by a small engaged team under strict confidentiality, with credentials stored securely and never passed onward. | Passwords circulating on chats with freelancers and part-timers, and no accountability for who has accessed your business data. |
| When a notice arrives | A professional drafts the reply in the department's format and files it within the statutory window, such as thirty days for ASMT-11. | You face departmental language alone, and a missed reply deadline can convert a simple query into a demand with penalty. |
| Due-date tracking | A maintained compliance calendar with internal cut-offs days before the 11th and the 20th; we chase you for data, not the other way around. | Deadlines remembered from memory or phone alarms; one busy week and the return slips past the due date. |
| Annual return preparation | Monthly reconciliations roll naturally into GSTR-9, filed comfortably before 31 December with figures already agreed through the year. | Twelve months of unmatched data reconstructed in December, with differences discovered too late to be corrected cleanly. |
| Time cost | Roughly an hour a month to send data and approve drafts; the portal work, reconciliation and follow-up are ours. | Hours every month lost to portal errors, JSON files, OTP failures and reworking figures — usually on the due date itself. |
| Record keeping | Every return, challan, acknowledgement and working paper archived in an organised folder, retrievable in minutes years later. | Documents scattered across email, downloads and old phones; assembling records for a bank or an audit takes days. |
3rd Lane is a residential street in Basin Bridge, about 800 m north-east of the centre of Basin Bridge. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — 6th Lane (about 50 m); 5th Main Road (about 100 m); Boja Raja Nagar Main Road (about 150 m); Anandhanayagi Nagar 5th Street (about 250 m) — so a site visit on 3rd Lane can usually be combined with other work in Basin Bridge on the same trip. For GST purposes an address on 3rd Lane falls under the Chennai North CGST Commissionerate, and the Basin Bridge pincode is 600012.
Road classification and position from OpenStreetMap; distances are straight-line and approximate. Jurisdiction must be confirmed on your own registration certificate.
A working knowledge of recent instruments and judgments is what separates a defensible filing from a risky one.
Cummins India Ltd — AAAR Maharashtra, Order No. MAH/AAAR/AM-RM/01/2021-22, dated 21 December 2021 · 2021-12-21
The head office procured common input services for factories and branches in other States. The Maharashtra Appellate Authority for Advance Ruling held that credit on such third party services must be distributed through an Input Service Distributor registration and not by raising a tax invoice, and that internally generated services rendered by the head office to its other registrations must be cross charged. CBIC Circular No. 199/11/2023-GST dated 17 July 2023 later softened the employee cost aspect.
What it means for you: Groups with a Chennai branch should confirm an ISD registration is in place, since ISD distribution became mandatory from 1 April 2025.
Circular No. 177/09/2022-TRU · 2022-08-03
The Board answered a set of service classification and exemption questions arising from the 47th GST Council meeting. Most importantly for property transactions, it confirmed that the sale of land after levelling and after laying drainage, water and electricity lines remains a sale of land under Schedule III and is outside GST, while development services such as levelling and laying of drainage lines that the developer itself receives from contractors attract GST at the applicable rate. Several other exemption and rate questions on specified services were also settled.
Practical effect: Chennai plot developers can rely on this circular for the position that a plot sale price is not taxable, but must still bear GST on the development works they buy in from contractors.
Notification No. 08/2017-Central Tax dated 27.06.2017 · 2017-06-27
This notification set up the composition levy under section 10. It fixed the eligibility limit at an aggregate turnover of Rs 75 lakh in the preceding financial year, with a lower Rs 50 lakh limit for specified special category States, and prescribed the CGST rates of one per cent for manufacturers, two and a half per cent for restaurants, and half a per cent for other suppliers, with an equal State component payable alongside.
What it means for you: This is the origin of the composition scheme a Chennai trader may still be sitting in, though both the turnover limit and the rates have since been revised upward and downward respectively.
