Chepauk is Chennai's government and sporting quarter: the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium on Wallajah Road, the Chepauk Palace secretariat offices in Ezhilagam, the University of Madras along Kamarajar Salai and hostels and eateries on Bells Road and Victoria Hostel Road. Caterers, event vendors and contractors billing government departments face 2 per cent GST TDS reported in GSTR-7, making monthly credit acceptance essential. That commercial character shapes the GST questions we see from Chepauk every week — registrations, monthly returns, credit mismatches and departmental queries. We deliver GST Refund RFD-01 for businesses in Chepauk, and clients also reach us from Triplicane and Chintadripet nearby. Documents move over WhatsApp, drafts are approved before filing, and a senior consultant reviews every submission, so distance from our office never dilutes the quality of the work.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
We work with Chennai GST ranges and circles every week, including the jurisdiction covering Chepauk. We know how local proper officers examine registrations, what supporting documents they routinely call for, and how to present a file so it moves without repeated queries.
GST is confusing enough without a language barrier. Our team explains notices, tax positions and filing requirements in plain Tamil or English, whichever you and your staff in Chepauk are comfortable with, and keeps written communication simple and jargon-free.
Traders, manufacturers, contractors, e-commerce sellers, professionals and service exporters — we have handled GST for all of them. Whatever mix of goods and services your Chepauk business supplies, the rate, classification and place-of-supply questions have almost certainly crossed our desk before.
Most GST notices trace back to mismatches between GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-2B. We reconcile these before filing, not after a notice arrives, so your returns are internally consistent and the most common triggers for ASMT-10 scrutiny simply never appear.
Businesses with registrations in more than one State, or multiple branches under one PAN, face cross-charge, stock transfer and input service distribution questions that single-GSTIN firms never see. We keep all your registrations consistent with each other, not just compliant individually.
No filing leaves our desk on a junior's judgement alone. A senior GST practitioner reviews your figures, ITC claims and tax computation before submission, so errors are caught at our table and not by the department months later through a notice.
We identify the correct refund category, confirm the two-year limitation from the relevant date, and compute the admissible amount using the formula prescribed under the rules.
Invoices, shipping bills, FIRCs, the LUT and ledger extracts are compiled into the prescribed statements, and gaps that commonly cause deficiency memos are fixed upfront.
The refund application is filed on the portal with all annexures and declarations, and the acknowledgement in RFD-02 is tracked within the statutory fifteen days.
We respond to any deficiency memo in RFD-03 or show cause notice in RFD-08, appear through written submissions, and pursue provisional refund where the category permits.
We track the sanction order in RFD-06 and payment advice in RFD-05, confirm the credit in your validated bank account, and archive the complete claim file.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: Application filed in 3-5 working days; sanction typically within 60 days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Each period you receive a simple computation showing output tax, credit utilised and net cash payable, so GST becomes a number you understand and question rather than a figure you accept blindly.
Because turnover in your GST returns is kept aligned with your accounts through the year, income tax filing and statutory audit proceed without the GST-versus-books mismatch queries that now surface routinely through data matching.
When GST knowledge lives inside a single staff member, their resignation becomes a compliance crisis. With our firm as the standing process, your filings continue uninterrupted regardless of internal staff changes.
We spot suppliers who stop uploading invoices or filing returns and alert you before their default becomes your blocked credit, letting you recover amounts or switch vendors while the exposure is still small.
You know your expected GST outflow days before the 20th, not on the night of filing. That advance visibility lets you plan payments, collections and bank balances instead of scrambling for funds at the deadline.
E-commerce platforms continuously validate seller GSTINs and filing status. A consistently compliant registration keeps your listings active and settlements flowing, with no sudden suspension of your online sales channel.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Late fees and interest | Filings go in ahead of statutory dates, so the Rs.50-per-day late fee and 18 percent interest never arise. | Late fees accumulate silently every delayed day, and interest on unpaid tax runs at 18 percent per annum. |
| Registration and amendments | Query-resistant applications prepared correctly the first time, with supporting documents matched to what proper officers actually verify. | Repeated clarification memos and resubmissions, with weeks lost because a rent agreement or premises photograph did not meet expectations. |
| Portal credentials and data | Logins handled by a small engaged team under strict confidentiality, with credentials stored securely and never passed onward. | Passwords circulating on chats with freelancers and part-timers, and no accountability for who has accessed your business data. |
| Due-date tracking | A maintained compliance calendar with internal cut-offs days before the 11th and the 20th; we chase you for data, not the other way around. | Deadlines remembered from memory or phone alarms; one busy week and the return slips past the due date. |
| Supplier defaults | Suppliers who stop uploading invoices are identified within the period and pursued before their default becomes your blocked credit. | Missing supplier invoices surface only when credit is denied, by which time recovering the amount from the vendor is difficult. |
| Refund claims | RFD-01 filed with complete statements and annexures, tracked from ARN to bank credit, with any deficiency memo answered promptly. | Incomplete claims bounce back as deficiency memos while the refund sits unclaimed for months and working capital stays blocked. |
Mosque Street is a residential street in Chepauk, about 500 m south-west of the centre of Chepauk. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — OVM Street (about 50 m); Lal Mohammed Street (about 100 m); Parthasarathy Street (about 150 m); Babu Jagjivanram Salai (about 200 m) — so a site visit on Mosque Street can usually be combined with other work in Chepauk on the same trip. For GST purposes an address on Mosque Street falls under the Chennai North CGST Commissionerate, and the Chepauk pincode is 600005.
Road classification and position from OpenStreetMap; distances are straight-line and approximate. Jurisdiction must be confirmed on your own registration certificate.
A working knowledge of recent instruments and judgments is what separates a defensible filing from a risky one.
32nd GST Council Meeting, New Delhi — 10 January 2019 · 2019-01-10
The Council created two threshold limits for exemption from registration and payment of GST for suppliers of goods, Rs 40 lakh and Rs 20 lakh, and gave states a week to choose which limit would apply in their territory. The threshold for service providers was left unchanged at Rs 20 lakh, and at Rs 10 lakh for special category states. The change was made operational from 1 April 2019 and remains the basic registration test for traders and manufacturers today.
How we apply it: A Chennai trader dealing only in goods crosses the registration line at Rs 40 lakh of aggregate turnover, but a service provider must register at Rs 20 lakh.
The Bank of Nova Scotia - AAR Tamil Nadu, Order No. TN/23/AAR/2018, dated 31 December 2018 · 2018-12-31
The bank imported goods and stored them in a Free Trade Warehousing Zone before they were cleared. It asked whether integrated tax was payable again when the goods were removed from the zone to the domestic tariff area, over and above the tax collected at the time of customs clearance. The Authority, following Circular No. 3/1/2018-IGST dated 25 May 2018, held that the applicant is not liable to pay IGST at the time of removal, the levy arising once at clearance for home consumption.
What it means for you: Chennai importers using FTWZ facilities pay IGST once at clearance and should resist any demand for a second levy on removal.
Union of India v. Bharti Airtel Ltd — Supreme Court, 2021 · 2021-10-28
Bharti Airtel sought to rectify its GSTR-3B for July-September 2017 to claim refund of about Rs 923 crore excess cash paid, blaming the non-operational GSTR-2A at the time. The Supreme Court set aside the Delhi High Court order permitting rectification, holding that returns can only be corrected in the period in which errors are noticed, as the law then stood, and that taxpayers must self-assess from their own books, not the portal.
What to do about it: File GSTR-3B accurately the first time — correct discovered errors in the current period per the prescribed mechanism rather than expecting retrospective revision of old returns.
