Chintadripet holds Ritchie Street, South India's largest electronics components market, where hundreds of dealers in chips, CCTV, laptop parts and refurbished phones trade alongside the Cooum-side fish market and old weaving lanes off Arunachalam Street. Refurbished and second-hand device dealers must apply the margin scheme under Rule 32(5) correctly, and high-volume component billing demands accurate HSN-wise reporting in GSTR-1. We have supported businesses of exactly this profile with GSTR-1 & GSTR-3B Monthly Filing across Chintadripet for years, along with clients from Egmore and Triplicane. The engagement is simple: one point of contact, a clear fee, documents over WhatsApp or in person at our Chennai office, and senior review before anything is submitted on the portal. What you get in return is clean filings, archived records and far fewer reasons for the department to write to you.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
Your sales figures, supplier lists and login credentials are handled only by our engaged team, stored securely and never shared with any third party. Many of our clients in Chintadripet compete with each other; complete confidentiality is a condition of our work.
Your cash ledger, credit ledger and liability register are reviewed regularly, not just at filing time. Excess balances are flagged for use or refund, and where a genuine slip surfaces, a voluntary payment through DRC-03 settles it before it can mature into a notice.
A new GSTIN comes with obligations nobody explains at approval — the invoice series rules, displaying the registration certificate and GSTIN at your premises, and the first return cycle. We walk new registrants in Chintadripet through each of these so month one starts correctly.
If a query, ASMT-10 scrutiny notice or DRC-01 arrives on a return we filed, we stand behind our work and help you draft the reply. You are not left alone with a departmental letter and a thirty-day clock ticking against you.
We match your purchase register against GSTR-2B every period, follow up on invoices your suppliers have not uploaded, and ensure every rupee of eligible input tax credit is claimed. Clients routinely recover credit they were silently losing under self-filing.
Quarterly filing still demands monthly attention — IFF uploads so your buyers see their credit on time, and tax payment through PMT-06 by the 25th for the first two months of each quarter. We run that monthly rhythm so QRMP saves you effort without creating gaps.
At month end we remind you and collect sales invoices, purchase bills and credit notes in whatever format you maintain, including Excel, Tally exports or scanned copies.
We prepare invoice-wise outward supply details, validate GSTINs of your B2B customers, summarise B2C supplies and file GSTR-1 on the portal before the 11th.
We download your auto-drafted GSTR-2B, match it against purchase records, and claim only eligible input tax credit so that mismatches do not trigger scrutiny notices later.
We compute net tax payable after ITC set-off, share the working with you for approval, and generate the payment challan for any cash liability.
After your confirmation and tax payment, we file GSTR-3B before the 20th and send you both filed acknowledgements along with a one-page summary of the month.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.

Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
New branches, new product lines and interstate sales all carry GST consequences. With standing professional support, you expand knowing registrations, invoicing and returns will keep pace with the business.
We spot suppliers who stop uploading invoices or filing returns and alert you before their default becomes your blocked credit, letting you recover amounts or switch vendors while the exposure is still small.
Large buyers check vendor GST compliance before releasing payments and renewing contracts. A clean filing record with timely GSTR-1 uploads keeps your invoices reflecting in their GSTR-2B and your payments unblocked.
Consistent, reconciled returns give the department's matching systems nothing to flag. Clients who move to us after years of self-filing typically see scrutiny queries and mismatch notices fall away within a few filing cycles.
A fixed professional fee is almost always cheaper than the combination of late fees, interest, lost credit and staff hours that informal, last-minute compliance quietly accumulates over a year.
With the LUT filed at the start of each financial year and refund claims tracked to credit, exporters supply without blocking funds in IGST and recover accumulated credit on schedule.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Due-date tracking | A maintained compliance calendar with internal cut-offs days before the 11th and the 20th; we chase you for data, not the other way around. | Deadlines remembered from memory or phone alarms; one busy week and the return slips past the due date. |
| Annual return preparation | Monthly reconciliations roll naturally into GSTR-9, filed comfortably before 31 December with figures already agreed through the year. | Twelve months of unmatched data reconstructed in December, with differences discovered too late to be corrected cleanly. |
| Record keeping | Every return, challan, acknowledgement and working paper archived in an organised folder, retrievable in minutes years later. | Documents scattered across email, downloads and old phones; assembling records for a bank or an audit takes days. |
| Keeping up with changes | Rate changes, portal updates and new thresholds such as the Rs.5 crore e-invoice limit are tracked by us and applied to your case proactively. | Changes are discovered after the fact — often through a rejected filing, a blocked e-way bill or a departmental letter. |
| Time cost | Roughly an hour a month to send data and approve drafts; the portal work, reconciliation and follow-up are ours. | Hours every month lost to portal errors, JSON files, OTP failures and reworking figures — usually on the due date itself. |
| Portal credentials and data | Logins handled by a small engaged team under strict confidentiality, with credentials stored securely and never passed onward. | Passwords circulating on chats with freelancers and part-timers, and no accountability for who has accessed your business data. |
Venkatachala Street is a residential street in Chintadripet, about 450 m south-west of the centre of Chintadripet. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — C.P. Mudali Street (about 50 m); Adithanar Road (about 50 m); Harris Bridge (about 200 m); Langs Garden Road (about 300 m) — so a site visit on Venkatachala Street can usually be combined with other work in Chintadripet on the same trip. For GST purposes an address on Venkatachala Street falls under the Chennai North CGST Commissionerate, and the Chintadripet pincode is 600002.

Thirumalakonda Plywoods v. Assistant Commissioner (ST) — Andhra Pradesh High Court, 2023 · 2023-07-18
The Andhra Pradesh High Court upheld the constitutional validity of Section 16(4) CGST Act, which bars availment of input tax credit after the prescribed deadline, holding that ITC is a conditional concession and the time limit is neither violative of Articles 14, 19 or 300A nor overridden by the non-obstante acceptance of a belated return with late fee. Parliament subsequently granted relief through Section 16(5), retrospectively extending the deadline for FY 2017-18 to 2020-21 up to 30 November 2021.
What to do about it: Claim every invoice's ITC well before the annual cut-off; for old years, check whether the retrospective Section 16(5) window and its amnesty procedures cure your late claims.
Notification No. 8/2018-Central Tax (Rate), dated 25 January 2018 · 2018-01-25
This notification gave second-hand vehicle dealers a concessional rate charged not on the sale price but on the margin, that is the difference between the selling price and the purchase price, or the depreciated value where depreciation was claimed under the Income-tax Act. The concession applied only if the supplier had not availed input tax credit on the vehicle, and where the margin is negative no GST is payable. Compensation cess on such vehicles was separately exempted.
What it means for you: A used-car dealer in Chennai pays GST only on the mark-up, so accurate purchase and sale records for each vehicle are the whole defence in an audit.
Navbharat Imports - AAR Tamil Nadu, Advance Ruling No. 35/AAR/2021, dated 30 September 2021 · 2021-09-30
The importer sold a range of children's toys, some containing electronic circuits and some working purely mechanically. It asked for the correct rate on each. The Authority held that toys containing electronic components attract 18 percent under the residual entry for electronic toys, irrespective of how those components are used, so children's scooters and smart tricycles with lights and music are taxed at 18 percent, while toys that work without electronics remain at 12 percent.
What to do about it: Chennai toy traders must classify item by item, because a single electronic component moves a product from 12 to 18 percent.
