Every locality in Chennai has its own commercial rhythm, and Gowrivakkam is no exception. Gowrivakkam commands the Velachery Main Road stretch east of Sembakkam towards the Vengaivasal turn-off, crowded with furniture and electrical showrooms, tiles and sanitaryware dealers, supermarkets and two-wheeler service centres, with S.I.V.E.T. College Road feeding the interior layouts. Building material traders hauling stock from city godowns need clean e-way bill discipline, while showroom dealers face input tax credit mismatches when distributor credit notes reach GSTR-2B late. Our practice has shaped its GSTR-1 & GSTR-3B Monthly Filing work around exactly these realities, serving clients in Gowrivakkam as well as Sembakkam and Medavakkam. Registrations, returns, refunds and notice replies are handled by one accountable team, with fees fixed in writing before work begins and every filing reconciled against portal data before it is submitted.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
Businesses with registrations in more than one State, or multiple branches under one PAN, face cross-charge, stock transfer and input service distribution questions that single-GSTIN firms never see. We keep all your registrations consistent with each other, not just compliant individually.
A registration cancelled for non-filing is not the end of the road. We bring the pending returns up to date, clear the dues and file the revocation application in REG-21 within the permitted window, restoring suspended and cancelled GSTINs to active status.
GST is confusing enough without a language barrier. Our team explains notices, tax positions and filing requirements in plain Tamil or English, whichever you and your staff in Gowrivakkam are comfortable with, and keeps written communication simple and jargon-free.
Sellers on Amazon, Flipkart and other marketplaces face a three-way match between marketplace reports, GSTR-1 and the TCS the operator deposits against your GSTIN. We reconcile all three every period and accept the TCS credit, so sellers in Gowrivakkam never leave marketplace deductions unclaimed.
No filing leaves our desk on a junior's judgement alone. A senior GST practitioner reviews your figures, ITC claims and tax computation before submission, so errors are caught at our table and not by the department months later through a notice.
GSTR-3B late fees run at Rs.50 per day and interest at 18 percent per annum on unpaid tax. Our internal cut-offs sit days ahead of statutory due dates precisely so that our clients never hand the department a rupee they did not owe.
At month end we remind you and collect sales invoices, purchase bills and credit notes in whatever format you maintain, including Excel, Tally exports or scanned copies.
We prepare invoice-wise outward supply details, validate GSTINs of your B2B customers, summarise B2C supplies and file GSTR-1 on the portal before the 11th.
We download your auto-drafted GSTR-2B, match it against purchase records, and claim only eligible input tax credit so that mismatches do not trigger scrutiny notices later.
We compute net tax payable after ITC set-off, share the working with you for approval, and generate the payment challan for any cash liability.
After your confirmation and tax payment, we file GSTR-3B before the 20th and send you both filed acknowledgements along with a one-page summary of the month.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.

Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Your scheme choice — regular, composition or QRMP — is re-examined as turnover and margins change, so you are always paying under the structure that legitimately costs your business the least.
The 11th and the 20th stop being days of dread. You approve a prepared draft, we file, and the acknowledgement lands on your WhatsApp — month after month, without drama.
Excess balances parked in the electronic cash ledger are identified during regular ledger reviews and either utilised against upcoming liability or claimed back as a refund, instead of sitting interest-free with the government.
Loan applications and government tenders routinely demand GST returns and registration documents. With everything filed and archived properly, you can produce a complete compliance file within hours instead of days.
Interest on delayed GST payment runs at 18 percent per annum, which is costlier than most working capital finance. Timely computation and payment through our calendar keeps that meter permanently at zero.
Tax positions, rate choices and credit calls are documented as they are made, so if a question arises years later, the reasoning and evidence are on file rather than in someone's fading memory.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Registration and amendments | Query-resistant applications prepared correctly the first time, with supporting documents matched to what proper officers actually verify. | Repeated clarification memos and resubmissions, with weeks lost because a rent agreement or premises photograph did not meet expectations. |
| Late fees and interest | Filings go in ahead of statutory dates, so the Rs.50-per-day late fee and 18 percent interest never arise. | Late fees accumulate silently every delayed day, and interest on unpaid tax runs at 18 percent per annum. |
| Risk of notices | GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-2B reconciled before filing, removing the mismatches that trigger most scrutiny notices. | Inconsistent figures across returns quietly build a mismatch history that surfaces later as ASMT-10 scrutiny or a demand notice. |
| Keeping up with changes | Rate changes, portal updates and new thresholds such as the Rs.5 crore e-invoice limit are tracked by us and applied to your case proactively. | Changes are discovered after the fact — often through a rejected filing, a blocked e-way bill or a departmental letter. |
| Time cost | Roughly an hour a month to send data and approve drafts; the portal work, reconciliation and follow-up are ours. | Hours every month lost to portal errors, JSON files, OTP failures and reworking figures — usually on the due date itself. |
| Record keeping | Every return, challan, acknowledgement and working paper archived in an organised folder, retrievable in minutes years later. | Documents scattered across email, downloads and old phones; assembling records for a bank or an audit takes days. |
6th Street is a residential street in Gowrivakkam, about 1.4 km north of the centre of Gowrivakkam. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — 7th Street (about 100 m); Gnanaraja Salai (about 350 m); Erikarai Road (about 400 m); Samraj Nagar Main Road (about 450 m) — so a site visit on 6th Street can usually be combined with other work in Gowrivakkam on the same trip. 43rd GST Council Meeting (video conferencing) — 28 May 2021 · 2021-05-28
The Council announced an amnesty scheme reducing late fee on pending GSTR-3B returns for the tax periods from July 2017 to April 2021. For taxpayers with no tax liability in those periods the late fee was capped at Rs 500 per return, and for others at Rs 1,000 per return, in each case counting central and state tax together. The reduced late fee applied only where the returns were furnished between 1 June 2021 and 31 August 2021, a window later extended to 30 November 2021.
Practical effect: Taxpayers who cleared four years of pending returns in this window paid a fraction of the statutory late fee, which is why acting promptly in an amnesty window matters so much.
Notification No. 85/2020-Central Tax · 2020-11-10
A quarterly filer must still deposit tax for each of the first two months of the quarter in Form GST PMT-06 by the 25th of the following month. This notification prescribed the fixed sum method, under which the taxpayer may simply pay thirty-five per cent of the tax paid in cash in the preceding quarter, or the full cash tax of the preceding month if the previous return was monthly. No interest arises on the shortfall if this route is followed and the quarterly return is filed on time.
Why this matters: Using the fixed sum challan protects a Chennai quarterly filer from interest even if the actual liability for that month turns out to be higher.
M/s. Sun Dye Chem v. Assistant Commissioner (ST) — Madras High Court, W.P. No. 29676 of 2019, decided 6 October 2020 (Anita Sumanth J.) · 2020-10-06
The dealer inadvertently reported supplies under the wrong tax heads in its GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B, with the result that its customers could not claim the credit. The statutory window for amendment had closed. The Madras High Court permitted rectification of the returns for the relevant period, reasoning that the error was bona fide, the revenue suffered no loss, and the mechanism that would have allowed the taxpayer to detect the mismatch (the auto-populated matching forms) had never been made operational.
What to do about it: If a genuine head-of-tax or classification error in your GST returns has blocked your customer's credit, the Madras High Court route to rectification is available even after the ordinary time limit has passed.
