Every locality in Chennai has its own commercial rhythm, and Kodungaiyur is no exception. Kodungaiyur spreads north from Erukkancheri High Road across the MMDA blocks, Muthamizh Nagar, Ezhil Nagar and Kaviarasu Kannadasan Nagar, with plastic and paper recycling units clustered around the Kodungaiyur dumping ground, small engineering workshops, hardware dealers and provision stores along Kodungaiyur Main Road and the Milk Colony approach. Scrap bought from unregistered vendors, reverse charge liability and e-way bills on waste consignments trigger most notices. Our practice has shaped its GST Refund RFD-01 work around exactly these realities, serving clients in Kodungaiyur as well as Erukkanchery and Moolakadai. Registrations, returns, refunds and notice replies are handled by one accountable team, with fees fixed in writing before work begins and every filing reconciled against portal data before it is submitted.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
New GSTIN applications, core field amendments through REG-14, additional places of business — we prepare complete, query-resistant applications the first time. Clean paperwork is the difference between smooth approval and weeks lost answering clarification memos from the department.
A registration cancelled for non-filing is not the end of the road. We bring the pending returns up to date, clear the dues and file the revocation application in REG-21 within the permitted window, restoring suspended and cancelled GSTINs to active status.
GSTR-1 by the 11th, GSTR-3B by the 20th, CMP-08 by the 18th after each quarter — we maintain a compliance calendar for every client and start chasing your data well before the due date, so late fees never enter the picture.
We are a Chennai firm with a physical office, not a faceless portal. If you prefer to sit across a table with your papers, you are welcome. Clients from Kodungaiyur regularly visit us for registrations, notice discussions and annual return reviews.
OTP failures, DSC errors, stuck submissions on due-date evenings — we deal with the GST portal daily and know the workarounds. When the site misbehaves on the 20th, our team keeps retrying and escalating so your return still goes through.
The annual return and, where turnover crosses Rs.5 crore, the self-certified reconciliation statement in GSTR-9C are prepared by the same team that filed your monthly returns. Nothing about your year has to be rediscovered or explained to a stranger in December.
We identify the correct refund category, confirm the two-year limitation from the relevant date, and compute the admissible amount using the formula prescribed under the rules.
Invoices, shipping bills, FIRCs, the LUT and ledger extracts are compiled into the prescribed statements, and gaps that commonly cause deficiency memos are fixed upfront.
The refund application is filed on the portal with all annexures and declarations, and the acknowledgement in RFD-02 is tracked within the statutory fifteen days.
We respond to any deficiency memo in RFD-03 or show cause notice in RFD-08, appear through written submissions, and pursue provisional refund where the category permits.
We track the sanction order in RFD-06 and payment advice in RFD-05, confirm the credit in your validated bank account, and archive the complete claim file.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: Application filed in 3-5 working days; sanction typically within 60 days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Correct, complete tax invoices signal a well-run business to customers, vendors and banks alike, quietly strengthening your credibility in every transaction where your paperwork is seen.
New branches, new product lines and interstate sales all carry GST consequences. With standing professional support, you expand knowing registrations, invoicing and returns will keep pace with the business.
The 11th and the 20th stop being days of dread. You approve a prepared draft, we file, and the acknowledgement lands on your WhatsApp — month after month, without drama.
Complete RFD-01 applications with proper statements and annexures move through the system faster and attract fewer deficiency memos, which means export and inverted-duty refunds reach your bank account sooner.
Continuous filing protects you from the suspension and cancellation proceedings that hit chronic non-filers, so your registration, e-way bill access and ability to issue tax invoices are never suddenly cut off.
You know your expected GST outflow days before the 20th, not on the night of filing. That advance visibility lets you plan payments, collections and bank balances instead of scrambling for funds at the deadline.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Input tax credit | Purchase register matched against GSTR-2B each period, with defaulting suppliers chased so eligible credit is actually captured. | Credit claimed from books alone; mismatches with GSTR-2B mean lost credit or excess claims that invite departmental queries. |
| Keeping up with changes | Rate changes, portal updates and new thresholds such as the Rs.5 crore e-invoice limit are tracked by us and applied to your case proactively. | Changes are discovered after the fact — often through a rejected filing, a blocked e-way bill or a departmental letter. |
| Annual return preparation | Monthly reconciliations roll naturally into GSTR-9, filed comfortably before 31 December with figures already agreed through the year. | Twelve months of unmatched data reconstructed in December, with differences discovered too late to be corrected cleanly. |
| Record keeping | Every return, challan, acknowledgement and working paper archived in an organised folder, retrievable in minutes years later. | Documents scattered across email, downloads and old phones; assembling records for a bank or an audit takes days. |
| Refund claims | RFD-01 filed with complete statements and annexures, tracked from ARN to bank credit, with any deficiency memo answered promptly. | Incomplete claims bounce back as deficiency memos while the refund sits unclaimed for months and working capital stays blocked. |
| Risk of notices | GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-2B reconciled before filing, removing the mismatches that trigger most scrutiny notices. | Inconsistent figures across returns quietly build a mismatch history that surfaces later as ASMT-10 scrutiny or a demand notice. |
14th Street is a residential street in Kodungaiyur, about 550 m south-west of the centre of Kodungaiyur. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — 7th Street teacher colony (about 150 m); 11th Street (about 150 m); 7th Street (about 150 m); 3rd Street (about 200 m) — so a site visit on 14th Street can usually be combined with other work in Kodungaiyur on the same trip. For GST purposes an address on 14th Street falls under the Chennai North CGST Commissionerate, and the Kodungaiyur pincode is 600118.

Circular No. 174/06/2022-GST · 2022-07-06
Where a taxpayer repays an erroneously sanctioned refund of accumulated input tax credit, together with interest and penalty, through FORM GST DRC-03, the amount can be restored to the electronic credit ledger. The circular prescribes the procedure: the taxpayer makes an application to the jurisdictional officer, and the officer re-credits the amount by an order in FORM GST PMT-03A. This ensures the taxpayer does not effectively bear the same credit twice.
How we apply it: If a Chennai exporter has repaid a wrongly sanctioned refund through DRC-03, apply in writing for a PMT-03A re-credit rather than treating the credit as lost.
Saraf Natural Stone v. Union of India — Gujarat High Court, Special Civil Application No. 15925 of 2018, judgment dated 10 July 2019 · 2019-07-10
The exporter's refund was released long after the period allowed by the statute, and the department resisted paying interest for the delay. The High Court held that where refund is delayed beyond the statutory period the obligation to pay interest arises automatically, and that a taxpayer should not be driven to litigation to obtain what the law already provides. Interest was awarded for the period of delay.
What to do about it: Where a refund is paid late, make a separate written claim for interest — courts treat it as a statutory entitlement rather than a concession.
54th GST Council Meeting, New Delhi — 9 September 2024 · 2024-09-09
The Council reduced GST on three cancer drugs — Trastuzumab Deruxtecan, Osimertinib and Durvalumab — from 12 per cent to 5 per cent. Extruded or expanded savoury snacks and namkeens were cut from 18 per cent to 12 per cent prospectively, aligning them with similar ready-to-eat namkeens, while un-fried snack pellets stayed at 5 per cent. The Council also brought roof-mounted package unit (RMPU) air conditioning machines for railways under 28 per cent and moved car seats from 18 per cent to 28 per cent.
Practical effect: Snack manufacturers and distributors in Chennai should apply 12 per cent prospectively from the notification date, keeping evidence of the cut-off for past-period disputes.
