Whether you are a first-time registrant or an established trader, New GST Registration in Koyambedu deserves a specialist rather than a side job. From Rs.1,499, our GST-focused Chennai practice runs the entire process on written checklists and senior-reviewed submissions.
We serve businesses on and around Magilampoo Street — document pickup, in-person consultation at our Porur office, or fully online over WhatsApp.
Share your number — a senior GST consultant calls you back within 30 minutes.
If you operate in Koyambedu, GST deadlines arrive with the same force as anywhere in Chennai — GSTR-1 by the 11th, GSTR-3B by the 20th. Koyambedu hosts one of Asia's largest perishables markets, the Koyambedu Wholesale Market Complex, and the CMBT bus terminus, driving trade by vegetable and fruit wholesalers, flower merchants, commission agents and transporters. Fresh produce is largely exempt while packaged and labelled goods are taxable, so mixed supplies, commission income, GTA reverse charge and e-way bills for outstation consignments dominate compliance here. We provide New GST Registration to businesses across Koyambedu and the adjoining Arumbakkam and Anna Nagar localities, maintaining a compliance calendar for every client so due dates are met without last-minute panic, late fees or interest at 18 percent per annum.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
GSTR-1 requires four-digit HSN reporting for turnover up to Rs.5 crore and six digits above it, and a wrong code often means a wrong rate. We verify the classification of what you actually supply, so your invoices and returns rest on defensible codes.
Your cash ledger, credit ledger and liability register are reviewed regularly, not just at filing time. Excess balances are flagged for use or refund, and where a genuine slip surfaces, a voluntary payment through DRC-03 settles it before it can mature into a notice.
We work with Chennai GST ranges and circles every week, including the jurisdiction covering Koyambedu. We know how local proper officers examine registrations, what supporting documents they routinely call for, and how to present a file so it moves without repeated queries.
No filing leaves our desk on a junior's judgement alone. A senior GST practitioner reviews your figures, ITC claims and tax computation before submission, so errors are caught at our table and not by the department months later through a notice.
If your GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B start drifting apart, if a large supplier stops filing, or if your turnover approaches the e-invoice threshold, we flag it to you immediately. Early warnings from our side are cheaper than departmental letters later.
Sellers on Amazon, Flipkart and other marketplaces face a three-way match between marketplace reports, GSTR-1 and the TCS the operator deposits against your GSTIN. We reconcile all three every period and accept the TCS credit, so sellers in Koyambedu never leave marketplace deductions unclaimed.
You share PAN, Aadhaar, photographs, address proof and bank details over WhatsApp or email. We review each document against portal requirements and flag anything that could trigger an officer query.
We draft Form GST REG-01 with the correct business constitution, principal place of business, HSN or SAC codes and authorised signatory details, then share a summary for your confirmation.
The application is filed on the GST portal and we guide the authorised signatory through Aadhaar OTP authentication, which speeds up approval and usually avoids physical verification of premises.
We track the ARN daily. If the officer issues a notice in Form REG-03 seeking clarification, we draft and file the reply in Form REG-04 within the permitted time.
Once approved, we download your registration certificate in Form REG-06, help set up portal login credentials, and brief you on invoice format, return due dates and e-way bill obligations.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: 3-7 working days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Advances received for services attract GST on receipt while advances for goods generally do not; applying this distinction correctly means you neither prepay tax unnecessarily nor omit a liability that surfaces later with interest.
Because turnover in your GST returns is kept aligned with your accounts through the year, income tax filing and statutory audit proceed without the GST-versus-books mismatch queries that now surface routinely through data matching.
Late-fee waivers and amnesty windows notified by the GST Council are applied to your history within their deadlines, capturing reliefs that most businesses only hear about once the window has already closed.
Excess balances parked in the electronic cash ledger are identified during regular ledger reviews and either utilised against upcoming liability or claimed back as a refund, instead of sitting interest-free with the government.
Loan applications and government tenders routinely demand GST returns and registration documents. With everything filed and archived properly, you can produce a complete compliance file within hours instead of days.
Correct, complete tax invoices signal a well-run business to customers, vendors and banks alike, quietly strengthening your credibility in every transaction where your paperwork is seen.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Goods in transit | E-way bills generated correctly and matched to invoices, so consignments pass roadside inspections without detention or penalty. | A defective or missing e-way bill can mean detention at a checkpoint, with penalties that dwarf the tax on the consignment. |
| Late fees and interest | Filings go in ahead of statutory dates, so the Rs.50-per-day late fee and 18 percent interest never arise. | Late fees accumulate silently every delayed day, and interest on unpaid tax runs at 18 percent per annum. |
| When a notice arrives | A professional drafts the reply in the department's format and files it within the statutory window, such as thirty days for ASMT-11. | You face departmental language alone, and a missed reply deadline can convert a simple query into a demand with penalty. |
| Annual return preparation | Monthly reconciliations roll naturally into GSTR-9, filed comfortably before 31 December with figures already agreed through the year. | Twelve months of unmatched data reconstructed in December, with differences discovered too late to be corrected cleanly. |
| Input tax credit | Purchase register matched against GSTR-2B each period, with defaulting suppliers chased so eligible credit is actually captured. | Credit claimed from books alone; mismatches with GSTR-2B mean lost credit or excess claims that invite departmental queries. |
| Due-date tracking | A maintained compliance calendar with internal cut-offs days before the 11th and the 20th; we chase you for data, not the other way around. | Deadlines remembered from memory or phone alarms; one busy week and the return slips past the due date. |
Magilampoo Street is a residential street in Koyambedu, about 550 m south of the centre of Koyambedu. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — Ayyappa Nagar Main Road (about 150 m); 1st Main Road (about 200 m); 2nd Main Road (about 300 m); 1st Street (about 400 m) — so a site visit on Magilampoo Street can usually be combined with other work in Koyambedu on the same trip. For GST purposes an address on Magilampoo Street falls under the Chennai North CGST Commissionerate, and the Koyambedu pincode is 600107.
Road classification and position from OpenStreetMap; distances are straight-line and approximate. Jurisdiction must be confirmed on your own registration certificate.
A working knowledge of recent instruments and judgments is what separates a defensible filing from a risky one.
3rd GST Council Meeting, New Delhi — 18-19 October 2016 (Signed Minutes, Agenda Item 2) · 2016-10-18
The Chairperson offered a compromise between a fixed 13 per cent growth rate, an average of three of the preceding five years' growth after removing the highest and lowest, and a 14 per cent rate pressed by Kerala and Assam. The Council unanimously agreed that projected State revenue for compensation purposes would grow at a flat 14 per cent per year from the 2015-16 base, with CST in that base counted at the actual 2 per cent. This single number determined the size of the compensation bill for the five-year guarantee period and, when actual GST collections fell short of it, drove the compensation cess extensions and the back-to-back borrowing arrangements of later years.
How we apply it: The 14 per cent guarantee is the reason compensation cess outlived its original five-year sunset, so cess-bearing goods remain costlier than the headline GST rate suggests.
Cummins India Ltd — AAAR Maharashtra, Order No. MAH/AAAR/AM-RM/01/2021-22, dated 21 December 2021 · 2021-12-21
The head office procured common input services for factories and branches in other States. The Maharashtra Appellate Authority for Advance Ruling held that credit on such third party services must be distributed through an Input Service Distributor registration and not by raising a tax invoice, and that internally generated services rendered by the head office to its other registrations must be cross charged. CBIC Circular No. 199/11/2023-GST dated 17 July 2023 later softened the employee cost aspect.
How we apply it: Groups with a Chennai branch should confirm an ISD registration is in place, since ISD distribution became mandatory from 1 April 2025.
Notification No. 14/2021-Central Tax (Rate), dated 18 November 2021 · 2021-11-18
To cure the inverted duty structure in which fabric makers paid more tax on yarn and dyes than they collected on cloth, the Government notified an increase from five per cent to twelve per cent across man-made fibre, yarn, fabrics, garments and made-ups, and removed the value-based split on footwear so that all footwear would attract twelve per cent. The change was to take effect from 1 January 2022 and triggered strong protests from the textile trade, including in Tiruppur, Erode and Coimbatore.
What it means for you: This notification is the origin of the textile rate fight, and its history matters when defending classification and rate positions for supplies made around that period.
