Whether you are a first-time registrant or an established trader, GST Notice Reply in Old Washermanpet deserves a specialist rather than a side job. From Rs.2,999, our GST-focused Chennai practice runs the entire process on written checklists and senior-reviewed submissions.
We serve businesses on and around Muthiah Mudali Street — document pickup, in-person consultation at our Porur office, or fully online over WhatsApp.
Share your number — a senior GST consultant calls you back within 30 minutes.
GST does not distinguish between a large showroom and a small service unit — the due dates and matching systems apply equally to both. Old Washermanpet is Chennai's gold covering and jewellery manufacturing hub, with hundreds of workshops and karigar units around Sanjeevirayan Koil Street, Mint Street's northern stretch and Walltax Road feeding showrooms across Tamil Nadu. Because most pieces move between principal and job worker, maintaining job work challans and filing ITC-04 correctly, alongside making charges billing, is the neighbourhood's defining GST challenge. That is why our GST Notice Reply engagements in Old Washermanpet follow the same discipline whatever the client's size: written checklists, reconciliation before filing and every acknowledgement archived. Businesses from Royapuram and Tondiarpet run on the same process, entirely over WhatsApp if they prefer.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
We are a Chennai firm with a physical office, not a faceless portal. If you prefer to sit across a table with your papers, you are welcome. Clients from Old Washermanpet regularly visit us for registrations, notice discussions and annual return reviews.
We tell you when the composition scheme stops making sense, when QRMP suits your cash flow, and when a supplier's non-compliance is quietly costing you credit. Filing is the minimum; helping you make better GST decisions is the actual job.
Goods sent to job workers must move on delivery challans, return within the statutory period, and be reported in ITC-04. We track every outward and return leg for manufacturing clients in Old Washermanpet, so inputs sent out for processing never quietly convert into a deemed supply carrying tax and interest.
OTP failures, DSC errors, stuck submissions on due-date evenings — we deal with the GST portal daily and know the workarounds. When the site misbehaves on the 20th, our team keeps retrying and escalating so your return still goes through.
Every acknowledgement, challan, computation sheet and filed return is saved and shared with you in an organised folder. When a bank, buyer or GST officer asks for a document from two years ago, it reaches you the same day without any scrambling.
If a query, ASMT-10 scrutiny notice or DRC-01 arrives on a return we filed, we stand behind our work and help you draft the reply. You are not left alone with a departmental letter and a thirty-day clock ticking against you.
We read the notice line by line, identify the section invoked, the periods covered, the exact information sought and the deadline for response.
The figures alleged in the notice are reconciled against your filed returns, GSTR-2B and books, so the reply is grounded in verifiable numbers rather than assertions.
We draft a professional, point-wise reply addressing every allegation, attaching reconciliations, invoices and legal support, and share the draft with you for approval.
The approved reply is filed on the portal within the deadline. Where a small genuine liability exists, we advise payment through DRC-03 to limit interest and penalty.
We monitor the portal for the officer's response, attend to any further queries or hearing dates, and pursue the matter until a closure or order is received.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: Draft reply in 3-5 working days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Systematic GSTR-2B matching and supplier follow-up mean input tax credit that was leaking away under self-filing is captured each month, directly reducing the cash you pay out with every GSTR-3B.
Complete RFD-01 applications with proper statements and annexures move through the system faster and attract fewer deficiency memos, which means export and inverted-duty refunds reach your bank account sooner.
Funding rounds, partnerships and business sales all begin with a compliance check. A clean, documented GST history lets you clear that scrutiny quickly instead of watching a deal stall over old filing gaps.
Illness, travel or a family function no longer threatens a deadline. With a standing external process holding your calendar and data trail, filings proceed on schedule whether or not you are at your desk.
Amounts deducted by government buyers as GST TDS and by marketplaces as TCS are accepted on the portal each period, so money withheld against your GSTIN actually reaches your cash ledger instead of lying unclaimed.
With the LUT filed at the start of each financial year and refund claims tracked to credit, exporters supply without blocking funds in IGST and recover accumulated credit on schedule.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Late fees and interest | Filings go in ahead of statutory dates, so the Rs.50-per-day late fee and 18 percent interest never arise. | Late fees accumulate silently every delayed day, and interest on unpaid tax runs at 18 percent per annum. |
| Time cost | Roughly an hour a month to send data and approve drafts; the portal work, reconciliation and follow-up are ours. | Hours every month lost to portal errors, JSON files, OTP failures and reworking figures — usually on the due date itself. |
| Keeping up with changes | Rate changes, portal updates and new thresholds such as the Rs.5 crore e-invoice limit are tracked by us and applied to your case proactively. | Changes are discovered after the fact — often through a rejected filing, a blocked e-way bill or a departmental letter. |
| When a notice arrives | A professional drafts the reply in the department's format and files it within the statutory window, such as thirty days for ASMT-11. | You face departmental language alone, and a missed reply deadline can convert a simple query into a demand with penalty. |
| Risk of notices | GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-2B reconciled before filing, removing the mismatches that trigger most scrutiny notices. | Inconsistent figures across returns quietly build a mismatch history that surfaces later as ASMT-10 scrutiny or a demand notice. |
| Supplier defaults | Suppliers who stop uploading invoices are identified within the period and pursued before their default becomes your blocked credit. | Missing supplier invoices surface only when credit is denied, by which time recovering the amount from the vendor is difficult. |
Muthiah Mudali Street is a residential street in Old Washermanpet, about 450 m south-west of the centre of Old Washermanpet. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — Thiruvottriyur High Road (about 200 m); Buddha Street (about 200 m); 1st Street (about 250 m); Aziz Mohamed Ghouse Street (about 300 m) — so a site visit on Muthiah Mudali Street can usually be combined with other work in Old Washermanpet on the same trip. For GST purposes an address on Muthiah Mudali Street falls under the Chennai North CGST Commissionerate, and the Old Washermanpet pincode is 600021.

Notification No. 35/2020-Central Tax · 2020-04-03
Using the newly inserted Section 168A, CBIC extended to 30 June 2020 every action, whether by a taxpayer or an officer, whose due date fell between 20 March 2020 and 29 June 2020. This covered completion of proceedings, passing of orders, issue of notices, filing of appeals, replies and applications. Return filing, payment of tax and e-way bill obligations were kept outside the extension, being dealt with by separate notifications. The window was later extended further by subsequent notifications.
Practical effect: This is the starting point of the whole COVID limitation chain and is the first thing to check when a Chennai business faces a demand said to be time-barred or an appeal said to be late.
Circular No. 231/25/2024-GST · 2024-09-10
CBIC clarified that demo vehicles used by an authorised motor vehicle dealer to provide test drives and demonstrate features are used for making a further supply of such motor vehicles, so the blocking provision in Section 17(5)(a) does not apply and input tax credit is available. Credit is not available where the vehicle is used for staff transportation or other internal purposes, and dealers capitalising demo vehicles must not claim depreciation on the tax component.
What it means for you: Vehicle dealerships should claim input tax credit on demo cars used for test drives and reverse it only where the vehicle is diverted to internal use.
Dr. Dathu Rao Memorial Charitable Trust - AAR Tamil Nadu, advance ruling of 2018 rejecting the application under section 98(2) · 2018
The Chennai trust, which provides education to mentally disabled children, applied for an advance ruling on the tax treatment of supplies it proposed to receive. The Authority did not admit the application under section 98(2) of the CGST and TNGST Acts, holding that an advance ruling can be sought only by a person who is undertaking or proposing to undertake the supply in question. A recipient cannot use the advance ruling route to settle the classification or the rate charged to it by its vendor.
What it means for you: A Chennai business unhappy with the rate its vendor charges cannot file its own advance ruling application; the supplier has to apply.

Upload the PDF to our free GST Notice Analyser. It identifies which of 34 notice types you have, pulls out the DIN, GSTIN and tax period, reads the reply date printed on the notice and tells you plainly whether that date has already passed — along with the documents and reconciliations you will need. No payment, no account. If the notice does not state a date we can read, it says so rather than guessing one for you.
