Late fees, blocked credit and mismatch notices cost far more than professional help ever will. We complete GST Refund RFD-01 for Old Washermanpet businesses from Rs.4,999, matching every figure against portal data before anything reaches the department.
We serve businesses on and around Parthasarathy Bridge — document pickup, in-person consultation at our Porur office, or fully online over WhatsApp.
Share your number — a senior GST consultant calls you back within 30 minutes.
Old Washermanpet is Chennai's gold covering and jewellery manufacturing hub, with hundreds of workshops and karigar units around Sanjeevirayan Koil Street, Mint Street's northern stretch and Walltax Road feeding showrooms across Tamil Nadu. Because most pieces move between principal and job worker, maintaining job work challans and filing ITC-04 correctly, alongside making charges billing, is the neighbourhood's defining GST challenge. Against that backdrop, GST Refund RFD-01 in Old Washermanpet demands more than data entry — it needs reconciliation before filing, correct classification and awareness of what local officers examine. Our Chennai team provides exactly that to clients in Old Washermanpet, Royapuram and Tondiarpet, with same-day responses on working days and WhatsApp updates at every stage. Most routine engagements complete within one to two working days once documents are in hand.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
The annual return and, where turnover crosses Rs.5 crore, the self-certified reconciliation statement in GSTR-9C are prepared by the same team that filed your monthly returns. Nothing about your year has to be rediscovered or explained to a stranger in December.
We are a Chennai firm with a physical office, not a faceless portal. If you prefer to sit across a table with your papers, you are welcome. Clients from Old Washermanpet regularly visit us for registrations, notice discussions and annual return reviews.
A new GSTIN comes with obligations nobody explains at approval — the invoice series rules, displaying the registration certificate and GSTIN at your premises, and the first return cycle. We walk new registrants in Old Washermanpet through each of these so month one starts correctly.
Every new client receives a review of their recent returns before we file anything — unclaimed credit, GSTR-1 versus GSTR-3B drift, and exposures worth correcting quietly. Businesses in Old Washermanpet often discover in this first review exactly why their previous arrangement was costing them money.
OTP failures, DSC errors, stuck submissions on due-date evenings — we deal with the GST portal daily and know the workarounds. When the site misbehaves on the 20th, our team keeps retrying and escalating so your return still goes through.
Businesses with registrations in more than one State, or multiple branches under one PAN, face cross-charge, stock transfer and input service distribution questions that single-GSTIN firms never see. We keep all your registrations consistent with each other, not just compliant individually.
We identify the correct refund category, confirm the two-year limitation from the relevant date, and compute the admissible amount using the formula prescribed under the rules.
Invoices, shipping bills, FIRCs, the LUT and ledger extracts are compiled into the prescribed statements, and gaps that commonly cause deficiency memos are fixed upfront.
The refund application is filed on the portal with all annexures and declarations, and the acknowledgement in RFD-02 is tracked within the statutory fifteen days.
We respond to any deficiency memo in RFD-03 or show cause notice in RFD-08, appear through written submissions, and pursue provisional refund where the category permits.
We track the sanction order in RFD-06 and payment advice in RFD-05, confirm the credit in your validated bank account, and archive the complete claim file.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: Application filed in 3-5 working days; sanction typically within 60 days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Your scheme choice — regular, composition or QRMP — is re-examined as turnover and margins change, so you are always paying under the structure that legitimately costs your business the least.
You know your expected GST outflow days before the 20th, not on the night of filing. That advance visibility lets you plan payments, collections and bank balances instead of scrambling for funds at the deadline.
Advances received for services attract GST on receipt while advances for goods generally do not; applying this distinction correctly means you neither prepay tax unnecessarily nor omit a liability that surfaces later with interest.
With the LUT filed at the start of each financial year and refund claims tracked to credit, exporters supply without blocking funds in IGST and recover accumulated credit on schedule.
Rates, reverse charge, place of supply and blocked credits are applied correctly at the preparation stage, so you neither overpay tax you do not owe nor underpay and invite demands with penalty later.
Filed returns, challans, reconciliations and working papers are archived in order from day one. If an audit or departmental verification comes, your file is ready the same week, not assembled in a panic.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Late fees and interest | Filings go in ahead of statutory dates, so the Rs.50-per-day late fee and 18 percent interest never arise. | Late fees accumulate silently every delayed day, and interest on unpaid tax runs at 18 percent per annum. |
| Due-date tracking | A maintained compliance calendar with internal cut-offs days before the 11th and the 20th; we chase you for data, not the other way around. | Deadlines remembered from memory or phone alarms; one busy week and the return slips past the due date. |
| Goods in transit | E-way bills generated correctly and matched to invoices, so consignments pass roadside inspections without detention or penalty. | A defective or missing e-way bill can mean detention at a checkpoint, with penalties that dwarf the tax on the consignment. |
| Keeping up with changes | Rate changes, portal updates and new thresholds such as the Rs.5 crore e-invoice limit are tracked by us and applied to your case proactively. | Changes are discovered after the fact — often through a rejected filing, a blocked e-way bill or a departmental letter. |
| Supplier defaults | Suppliers who stop uploading invoices are identified within the period and pursued before their default becomes your blocked credit. | Missing supplier invoices surface only when credit is denied, by which time recovering the amount from the vendor is difficult. |
| Refund claims | RFD-01 filed with complete statements and annexures, tracked from ARN to bank credit, with any deficiency memo answered promptly. | Incomplete claims bounce back as deficiency memos while the refund sits unclaimed for months and working capital stays blocked. |

The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — Aziz Mohamed Ghouse Street (about 350 m); West Cemetry Road (about 350 m); Thiruvottriyur High Road (about 350 m); Basin Bridge Road (about 400 m) — so a site visit on Parthasarathy Bridge can usually be combined with other work in Old Washermanpet on the same trip. Circular No. 247/04/2025-GST · 2025-02-14
Following the 55th GST Council meeting, CBIC clarified disputed classifications: ready-to-eat salted popcorn is taxable at 5 per cent (12 per cent if pre-packaged and labelled) while caramelised popcorn falls at 18 per cent as sugar confectionery; autoclaved aerated concrete blocks with over 50 per cent fly ash content attract 12 per cent; and dried pepper supplied by an agriculturist remains exempt. Past periods were regularised on an as-is-where-is basis to prevent retrospective demands.
What it means for you: Food processors and building-material traders should re-check product classifications against this circular, since regularisation protects past periods but the clarified rates bind future supplies.
Krishna Bhavan Foods and Sweets - AAR Tamil Nadu, Order No. TN/24/AAR/2021, dated 18 June 2021, upheld by AAAR Tamil Nadu, Order No. TN/AAAR/02/2022, dated 13 January 2022 · 2021-06-18
The applicant sold packaged ready to cook instant mixes for dosai, idli, tiffin items, sweets, health mix and porridge. It argued that these were only flours of cereals and pulses taxable at 5 percent. The Authority classified the products under heading 2106 90 as food preparations not elsewhere specified, attracting 18 percent GST, because the mixing and added ingredients took them out of the concessional flour entries. The Appellate Authority upheld that classification.
How we apply it: Chennai food manufacturers selling instant mixes should confirm whether the product is a plain flour or a preparation before applying 5 percent.
Mafatlal Industries Ltd v. Union of India — Supreme Court, nine-judge Bench, (1997) 5 SCC 536, judgment dated 19-12-1996 · 1996-12-19
The Supreme Court held that refund of indirect taxes must ordinarily be claimed through the machinery provided in the taxing statute and within the limitation prescribed there. Crucially, it held that a refund cannot be granted where the claimant has passed on the tax burden to the buyer, as that would result in unjust enrichment. The claimant must prove that the incidence of tax was borne by him.
What to do about it: A Chennai business filing a GST refund must be prepared to prove with invoices and accounts that it did not pass the tax on to its customers.
