Whether you are a first-time registrant or an established trader, GSTR-1 & GSTR-3B Monthly Filing in Poonamallee deserves a specialist rather than a side job. From Rs.749, our GST-focused Chennai practice runs the entire process on written checklists and senior-reviewed submissions.
We serve businesses on and around Thamarai Street — document pickup, in-person consultation at our Porur office, or fully online over WhatsApp.
Share your number — a senior GST consultant calls you back within 30 minutes.
Poonamallee, where Trunk Road meets the Chennai-Bengaluru highway, is the gateway to the Sriperumbudur industrial belt: plant nurseries, timber and building material depots, lorry operators and college-linked hostels spread through Kumananchavadi, Karayanchavadi and Senneerkuppam. Nurseries selling exempt live plants alongside taxable pots and manure, and consignors missing reverse charge on lorry freight, are the recurring GST issues here. From a first registration to the annual return, the full range of GSTR-1 & GSTR-3B Monthly Filing is available to Poonamallee businesses without stepping far from the shop or office — documents travel over WhatsApp, and our Chennai premises are open to anyone who prefers a face-to-face discussion. We serve Avadi and Thiruverkadu on the same footing, applying one rule everywhere: reconcile before filing, file before the due date, and keep the client informed at every stage.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
From filing the LUT in RFD-11 at the start of each financial year to preparing RFD-01 refund claims with complete annexures, we know what makes a refund file move. Exporters and inverted-duty businesses come to us specifically for this.
We are a Chennai firm with a physical office, not a faceless portal. If you prefer to sit across a table with your papers, you are welcome. Clients from Poonamallee regularly visit us for registrations, notice discussions and annual return reviews.
Tally, Zoho Books, Busy, marketplace reports, plain Excel or even a handwritten bill book — we take your data in whatever form your Poonamallee business already maintains it. You are never forced to buy new software or retrain staff just to become our client.
Goods sent to job workers must move on delivery challans, return within the statutory period, and be reported in ITC-04. We track every outward and return leg for manufacturing clients in Poonamallee, so inputs sent out for processing never quietly convert into a deemed supply carrying tax and interest.
You are told the full fee before we begin, in writing. No surprise additions for uploads, revisions or acknowledgements. Government fees and taxes, where applicable, are shown separately, so businesses in Poonamallee always know exactly what the engagement costs them.
GSTR-3B late fees run at Rs.50 per day and interest at 18 percent per annum on unpaid tax. Our internal cut-offs sit days ahead of statutory due dates precisely so that our clients never hand the department a rupee they did not owe.
At month end we remind you and collect sales invoices, purchase bills and credit notes in whatever format you maintain, including Excel, Tally exports or scanned copies.
We prepare invoice-wise outward supply details, validate GSTINs of your B2B customers, summarise B2C supplies and file GSTR-1 on the portal before the 11th.
We download your auto-drafted GSTR-2B, match it against purchase records, and claim only eligible input tax credit so that mismatches do not trigger scrutiny notices later.
We compute net tax payable after ITC set-off, share the working with you for approval, and generate the payment challan for any cash liability.
After your confirmation and tax payment, we file GSTR-3B before the 20th and send you both filed acknowledgements along with a one-page summary of the month.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.

Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Funding rounds, partnerships and business sales all begin with a compliance check. A clean, documented GST history lets you clear that scrutiny quickly instead of watching a deal stall over old filing gaps.
E-commerce platforms continuously validate seller GSTINs and filing status. A consistently compliant registration keeps your listings active and settlements flowing, with no sudden suspension of your online sales channel.
Getting IGST versus CGST and SGST right at the invoice stage spares you the painful cycle of paying the correct head again and pursuing a refund of the amount paid under the wrong one.
Continuous filing protects you from the suspension and cancellation proceedings that hit chronic non-filers, so your registration, e-way bill access and ability to issue tax invoices are never suddenly cut off.
Large buyers check vendor GST compliance before releasing payments and renewing contracts. A clean filing record with timely GSTR-1 uploads keeps your invoices reflecting in their GSTR-2B and your payments unblocked.
Because monthly data is reconciled as it happens, GSTR-9 preparation before the 31 December due date becomes a review exercise rather than a painful reconstruction of twelve untidy months.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Portal credentials and data | Logins handled by a small engaged team under strict confidentiality, with credentials stored securely and never passed onward. | Passwords circulating on chats with freelancers and part-timers, and no accountability for who has accessed your business data. |
| Time cost | Roughly an hour a month to send data and approve drafts; the portal work, reconciliation and follow-up are ours. | Hours every month lost to portal errors, JSON files, OTP failures and reworking figures — usually on the due date itself. |
| Keeping up with changes | Rate changes, portal updates and new thresholds such as the Rs.5 crore e-invoice limit are tracked by us and applied to your case proactively. | Changes are discovered after the fact — often through a rejected filing, a blocked e-way bill or a departmental letter. |
| When a notice arrives | A professional drafts the reply in the department's format and files it within the statutory window, such as thirty days for ASMT-11. | You face departmental language alone, and a missed reply deadline can convert a simple query into a demand with penalty. |
| Input tax credit | Purchase register matched against GSTR-2B each period, with defaulting suppliers chased so eligible credit is actually captured. | Credit claimed from books alone; mismatches with GSTR-2B mean lost credit or excess claims that invite departmental queries. |
| Refund claims | RFD-01 filed with complete statements and annexures, tracked from ARN to bank credit, with any deficiency memo answered promptly. | Incomplete claims bounce back as deficiency memos while the refund sits unclaimed for months and working capital stays blocked. |
Thamarai Street is a residential street in Poonamallee, about 1.8 km west of the centre of Poonamallee. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — Pasupathi Street (about 150 m); Nazarathpet Road (about 400 m); Govindaswamy Street (about 500 m); Pachavarna Perumal Koil Street (about 650 m) — so a site visit on Thamarai Street can usually be combined with other work in Poonamallee on the same trip. For GST purposes an address on Thamarai Street falls under the Chennai Outer CGST Commissionerate, and the Poonamallee pincode is 600056.

Osram Surya (P) Ltd v. Commissioner of Central Excise, Indore — Supreme Court, (2002) 9 SCC 20, judgment dated 02-05-2002 · 2002-05-02
The Supreme Court held that a rule prescribing a period within which credit must be taken from the date of the invoice does not take away any vested right. It merely regulates the manner and time of availing the credit, which the legislature is entitled to do. A taxpayer who fails to take the credit within the prescribed window loses the benefit. This reasoning supports the time limit in Section 16(4) of the CGST Act.
What it means for you: Chennai businesses should reconcile purchase registers with GSTR-2B every month and claim credit within the deadline, as belated claims are generally lost.
GSTN Advisories dated 11 April 2025 and 16 May 2025 — Table 3.2 of GSTR-3B · 2025-04-11
GSTN first advised that from the April 2025 period, auto-populated values in Table 3.2 of GSTR-3B, covering inter-state supplies to unregistered persons, composition taxpayers and UIN holders, would become non-editable, with corrections routed through GSTR-1A. After taxpayer representations, a 16 May 2025 advisory kept Table 3.2 editable for the time being. The locking was later subsumed in the broader hard-locking of GSTR-3B liability during 2025.
Practical effect: Report place-of-supply details correctly in GSTR-1 itself, since state-wise B2C figures in GSTR-3B are moving beyond manual correction.
Circular No. 109/28/2019-GST dated 22 July 2019 · 2019-07-22
CBIC clarified that maintenance charged by a resident welfare association is exempt where it does not exceed Rs 7,500 per member per month, a limit raised from Rs 5,000 with effect from 25 January 2018. An association is liable to register only if its annual turnover exceeds Rs 20 lakh and its charges exceed Rs 7,500. Where the limit is crossed, tax is payable on the entire amount and not merely the excess. A member owning two flats gets the limit separately for each, and the association can claim input tax credit.
Why this matters: Apartment associations across Chennai should test both the Rs 20 lakh turnover and the Rs 7,500 per-flat tests, and remember that crossing the limit taxes the whole amount.
