New GST Registration in Sowcarpet does not have to mean portal errors, guesswork and due-date tension. For a fixed fee starting Rs.1,499, an accountable Chennai practice prepares, reconciles, reviews and files — and remains answerable long after the acknowledgement arrives.
We serve businesses on and around Mint Street — document pickup, in-person consultation at our Porur office, or fully online over WhatsApp.
Share your number — a senior GST consultant calls you back within 30 minutes.
Choosing New GST Registration in Sowcarpet is ultimately an act of trust: you are handing over sales figures, purchase records and portal access. Sowcarpet along Mint Street is Chennai's Marwari and Gujarati trading quarter, dense with jewellery showrooms, textile wholesalers, dry fruit and grocery merchants, and private financiers around Kasi Chetty Street and Elephant Gate. Rate-sensitive gold billing, HSN-wise reporting in GSTR-1 and the bar on composition dealers making interstate sales make careful scheme selection and classification the core GST issue here. We earn that trust the unglamorous way — fixed fees honoured, drafts approved by you before filing, acknowledgements shared the same day, and strict confidentiality throughout. Clients across Sowcarpet, Mannady and Parrys (George Town) have stayed with us for years on precisely this basis.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
A new GSTIN comes with obligations nobody explains at approval — the invoice series rules, displaying the registration certificate and GSTIN at your premises, and the first return cycle. We walk new registrants in Sowcarpet through each of these so month one starts correctly.
Businesses with registrations in more than one State, or multiple branches under one PAN, face cross-charge, stock transfer and input service distribution questions that single-GSTIN firms never see. We keep all your registrations consistent with each other, not just compliant individually.
No filing leaves our desk on a junior's judgement alone. A senior GST practitioner reviews your figures, ITC claims and tax computation before submission, so errors are caught at our table and not by the department months later through a notice.
We tell you when the composition scheme stops making sense, when QRMP suits your cash flow, and when a supplier's non-compliance is quietly costing you credit. Filing is the minimum; helping you make better GST decisions is the actual job.
Traders, manufacturers, contractors, e-commerce sellers, professionals and service exporters — we have handled GST for all of them. Whatever mix of goods and services your Sowcarpet business supplies, the rate, classification and place-of-supply questions have almost certainly crossed our desk before.
When an ADT-01 audit intimation or a personal hearing date arrives, we compile the records, prepare the reconciliations and draft the submissions, and coordinate closely with your authorised representative. You walk into the proceeding prepared, not improvising in front of an officer.
You share PAN, Aadhaar, photographs, address proof and bank details over WhatsApp or email. We review each document against portal requirements and flag anything that could trigger an officer query.
We draft Form GST REG-01 with the correct business constitution, principal place of business, HSN or SAC codes and authorised signatory details, then share a summary for your confirmation.
The application is filed on the GST portal and we guide the authorised signatory through Aadhaar OTP authentication, which speeds up approval and usually avoids physical verification of premises.
We track the ARN daily. If the officer issues a notice in Form REG-03 seeking clarification, we draft and file the reply in Form REG-04 within the permitted time.
Once approved, we download your registration certificate in Form REG-06, help set up portal login credentials, and brief you on invoice format, return due dates and e-way bill obligations.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: 3-7 working days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Excess balances parked in the electronic cash ledger are identified during regular ledger reviews and either utilised against upcoming liability or claimed back as a refund, instead of sitting interest-free with the government.
Amounts deducted by government buyers as GST TDS and by marketplaces as TCS are accepted on the portal each period, so money withheld against your GSTIN actually reaches your cash ledger instead of lying unclaimed.
You know your expected GST outflow days before the 20th, not on the night of filing. That advance visibility lets you plan payments, collections and bank balances instead of scrambling for funds at the deadline.
When GST knowledge lives inside a single staff member, their resignation becomes a compliance crisis. With our firm as the standing process, your filings continue uninterrupted regardless of internal staff changes.
Whether moving between composition and regular scheme, opting into QRMP, or crossing the e-invoice threshold at Rs.5 crore, transitions are planned in advance rather than discovered after a compliance breach.
Statutory windows such as thirty days for an ASMT-11 reply are tracked from the day a notice arrives, so responses go in on time, complete, and with your best case properly presented.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Keeping up with changes | Rate changes, portal updates and new thresholds such as the Rs.5 crore e-invoice limit are tracked by us and applied to your case proactively. | Changes are discovered after the fact — often through a rejected filing, a blocked e-way bill or a departmental letter. |
| Registration and amendments | Query-resistant applications prepared correctly the first time, with supporting documents matched to what proper officers actually verify. | Repeated clarification memos and resubmissions, with weeks lost because a rent agreement or premises photograph did not meet expectations. |
| Due-date tracking | A maintained compliance calendar with internal cut-offs days before the 11th and the 20th; we chase you for data, not the other way around. | Deadlines remembered from memory or phone alarms; one busy week and the return slips past the due date. |
| Refund claims | RFD-01 filed with complete statements and annexures, tracked from ARN to bank credit, with any deficiency memo answered promptly. | Incomplete claims bounce back as deficiency memos while the refund sits unclaimed for months and working capital stays blocked. |
| Late fees and interest | Filings go in ahead of statutory dates, so the Rs.50-per-day late fee and 18 percent interest never arise. | Late fees accumulate silently every delayed day, and interest on unpaid tax runs at 18 percent per annum. |
| Annual return preparation | Monthly reconciliations roll naturally into GSTR-9, filed comfortably before 31 December with figures already agreed through the year. | Twelve months of unmatched data reconstructed in December, with differences discovered too late to be corrected cleanly. |
Mint Street is a main connecting road in Sowcarpet, about 400 m north of the centre of Sowcarpet. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — Nammalwar Street (about 200 m); Mint Street 1st part (about 300 m); Thirupalli Street (about 350 m); 1st Lane (about 350 m) — so a site visit on Mint Street can usually be combined with other work in Sowcarpet on the same trip. For GST purposes an address on Mint Street falls under the Chennai North CGST Commissionerate, and the Sowcarpet pincode is 600079.

We track every notification, circular and judgment that changes a filing position, so your returns and replies reflect the current law.
Notification No. 9/2025-Central Tax (Rate), dated 17 September 2025, Schedule I, Chapters 33 and 34 · 2025-09-17
Hair oil and shampoo, toilet soap in the form of bars and cakes other than industrial soap, toothpaste, tooth powder and dental floss were moved into Schedule I at five per cent from 22 September 2025, down from eighteen per cent. Other soaps and organic surface-active preparations, and dentifrices other than the listed items, remain in Schedule II at eighteen per cent, so the concession is confined to the everyday personal care items the Council named.
Why this matters: FMCG distributors must apply five per cent only to the named items and keep the balance of the toiletries range at eighteen per cent, since the split within one chapter is easy to get wrong.
Circular No. 32/06/2018-GST dated 12.02.2018 · 2018-02-12
This early circular resolved several healthcare and accommodation questions. It clarified that room rent charged by a hospital to an in-patient and food supplied to admitted patients as advised by the doctor form part of exempt composite healthcare services, while food sold to attendants and visitors is taxable. It also clarified that where a hospital engages senior consultants and retains a share of their fees, the entire consideration charged to the patient is exempt healthcare service. Separately it dealt with hostel accommodation below the then exemption threshold.
What it means for you: Chennai hospitals should keep patient billing separate from cafeteria and visitor sales, because only the patient-facing package enjoys the healthcare exemption.
Mineral Area Development Authority v. Steel Authority of India — Supreme Court, nine-judge Bench, (2024) 10 SCC 1, judgment dated 25-07-2024 · 2024-07-25
The Supreme Court held by majority that royalty payable under the mining law is a contractual consideration and not a tax. States retain legislative competence to impose taxes on mineral rights and on mineral-bearing land, and this power is not taken away by the central mining legislation. The Court overruled the contrary view taken in the earlier India Cement case, altering the fiscal position of mining and quarrying operations.
How we apply it: Chennai businesses in mining, quarrying or aggregates should factor State levies on mineral rights into costing alongside GST on the supply.
