New GST Registration in Uthandi does not have to mean portal errors, guesswork and due-date tension. For a fixed fee starting Rs.1,499, an accountable Chennai practice prepares, reconciles, reviews and files — and remains answerable long after the acknowledgement arrives.
We serve businesses on and around School Street — document pickup, in-person consultation at our Porur office, or fully online over WhatsApp.
Share your number — a senior GST consultant calls you back within 30 minutes.
Uthandi occupies the East Coast Road stretch around the ECR Toll Plaza and the V.G.P. Gandhi Nagar layouts, where beach resorts, farmhouses, banquet lawns, seafood restaurants and boutique studios trade off the V.G.P. Main Roads, Reddykuppam Main Road and V.V. Venkata Subramanian Salai. Operators here routinely misapply accommodation rate slabs by tariff and treat outdoor catering at farmhouse weddings as restaurant supply, inviting rate and input-credit disputes on audit. Against that backdrop, New GST Registration in Uthandi demands more than data entry — it needs reconciliation before filing, correct classification and awareness of what local officers examine. Our Chennai team provides exactly that to clients in Uthandi, Panaiyur and Kanathur, with same-day responses on working days and WhatsApp updates at every stage. Most routine engagements complete within one to two working days once documents are in hand.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
You deal with one accountable person who knows your business, your turnover pattern and your filing history. No repeating your story to a new voice every month, and no file falling between two desks when a deadline is approaching.
GSTR-3B late fees run at Rs.50 per day and interest at 18 percent per annum on unpaid tax. Our internal cut-offs sit days ahead of statutory due dates precisely so that our clients never hand the department a rupee they did not owe.
Businesses with registrations in more than one State, or multiple branches under one PAN, face cross-charge, stock transfer and input service distribution questions that single-GSTIN firms never see. We keep all your registrations consistent with each other, not just compliant individually.
Your cash ledger, credit ledger and liability register are reviewed regularly, not just at filing time. Excess balances are flagged for use or refund, and where a genuine slip surfaces, a voluntary payment through DRC-03 settles it before it can mature into a notice.
Whenever the GST Council notifies a late-fee waiver or an amnesty window for pending returns or old demands, we check every client's history against it and act within the deadline. Relief that businesses in Uthandi would otherwise read about after it lapsed reaches our clients in time.
GSTR-1 by the 11th, GSTR-3B by the 20th, CMP-08 by the 18th after each quarter — we maintain a compliance calendar for every client and start chasing your data well before the due date, so late fees never enter the picture.
You share PAN, Aadhaar, photographs, address proof and bank details over WhatsApp or email. We review each document against portal requirements and flag anything that could trigger an officer query.
We draft Form GST REG-01 with the correct business constitution, principal place of business, HSN or SAC codes and authorised signatory details, then share a summary for your confirmation.
The application is filed on the GST portal and we guide the authorised signatory through Aadhaar OTP authentication, which speeds up approval and usually avoids physical verification of premises.
We track the ARN daily. If the officer issues a notice in Form REG-03 seeking clarification, we draft and file the reply in Form REG-04 within the permitted time.
Once approved, we download your registration certificate in Form REG-06, help set up portal login credentials, and brief you on invoice format, return due dates and e-way bill obligations.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: 3-7 working days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Interest on delayed GST payment runs at 18 percent per annum, which is costlier than most working capital finance. Timely computation and payment through our calendar keeps that meter permanently at zero.
A fixed professional fee is almost always cheaper than the combination of late fees, interest, lost credit and staff hours that informal, last-minute compliance quietly accumulates over a year.
Continuous filing protects you from the suspension and cancellation proceedings that hit chronic non-filers, so your registration, e-way bill access and ability to issue tax invoices are never suddenly cut off.
Filed returns, challans, reconciliations and working papers are archived in order from day one. If an audit or departmental verification comes, your file is ready the same week, not assembled in a panic.
Statutory windows such as thirty days for an ASMT-11 reply are tracked from the day a notice arrives, so responses go in on time, complete, and with your best case properly presented.
When a query or verification comes, you respond through a professional who deals with the department regularly, in the department's own language and format, instead of facing an officer's letter alone.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Annual return preparation | Monthly reconciliations roll naturally into GSTR-9, filed comfortably before 31 December with figures already agreed through the year. | Twelve months of unmatched data reconstructed in December, with differences discovered too late to be corrected cleanly. |
| Time cost | Roughly an hour a month to send data and approve drafts; the portal work, reconciliation and follow-up are ours. | Hours every month lost to portal errors, JSON files, OTP failures and reworking figures — usually on the due date itself. |
| Supplier defaults | Suppliers who stop uploading invoices are identified within the period and pursued before their default becomes your blocked credit. | Missing supplier invoices surface only when credit is denied, by which time recovering the amount from the vendor is difficult. |
| When a notice arrives | A professional drafts the reply in the department's format and files it within the statutory window, such as thirty days for ASMT-11. | You face departmental language alone, and a missed reply deadline can convert a simple query into a demand with penalty. |
| Goods in transit | E-way bills generated correctly and matched to invoices, so consignments pass roadside inspections without detention or penalty. | A defective or missing e-way bill can mean detention at a checkpoint, with penalties that dwarf the tax on the consignment. |
| Refund claims | RFD-01 filed with complete statements and annexures, tracked from ARN to bank credit, with any deficiency memo answered promptly. | Incomplete claims bounce back as deficiency memos while the refund sits unclaimed for months and working capital stays blocked. |
School Street is a residential street in Uthandi, about 150 m north-west of the centre of Uthandi. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — V.G.P 2nd Main Road (about 100 m); Amritha Street (about 100 m); Buddhar Street (about 150 m); V.G.P 3rd Main Road (about 200 m) — so a site visit on School Street can usually be combined with other work in Uthandi on the same trip. For GST purposes an address on School Street falls under the Chennai South CGST Commissionerate, and the Uthandi pincode is 600119.
Road classification and position from OpenStreetMap; distances are straight-line and approximate. Jurisdiction must be confirmed on your own registration certificate.

Circular No. 203/15/2023-GST · 2023-10-27
CBIC clarified three recurring place-of-supply questions. For transportation of goods, including by mail or courier, where the supplier or the recipient is outside India, Section 13(9) of the IGST Act stood omitted from 1 October 2023, so the place of supply is now fixed by the default rule in Section 13(2), namely the location of the recipient. For advertising services supplied to a government body, the place of supply follows the location of the recipient under Section 12(2) rather than the location of the hoardings, with State-wise allocation where the contract provides for it. For co-location of servers in a data centre, the supply is a bundle of hosting services and not a letting of immovable property, so the recipient's location governs.
How we apply it: Chennai courier, advertising and data centre businesses should map their invoices to these tests before deciding between IGST and CGST plus SGST.
State Tax Officer v. Rainbow Papers Ltd — Supreme Court, judgment dated 06-09-2022 · 2022-09-06
The Supreme Court held that where a State tax statute creates a first charge on the assets of a defaulting dealer, the tax department qualifies as a secured creditor under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code. A resolution plan that simply ignores statutory tax dues, or provides nil recovery to the State, can be rejected. The decision considerably strengthened the position of tax authorities in corporate insolvency resolution processes.
How we apply it: A Chennai company entering insolvency cannot assume its GST and VAT arrears will be wiped out; statutory dues must be properly dealt with in the resolution plan.
33rd GST Council Meeting, New Delhi — 20 and 24 February 2019 · 2019-02-24
To revive the residential real estate sector, the Council recommended an effective GST rate of five per cent without input tax credit on residential properties outside the affordable segment, and one per cent without input tax credit on affordable housing, with effect from 1 April 2019. The Council reasoned that buyers would get a fair price, that disputes about builders not passing on credit would become irrelevant, and that unutilised credit which used to become a project cost would be removed.
What to do about it: Flat buyers in Chennai pay one or five per cent on under-construction purchases, but the builder cannot claim input credit, so the tax is embedded in the price rather than shown as recoverable.
