Whether you are a first-time registrant or an established trader, GST Refund RFD-01 in Alandur deserves a specialist rather than a side job. From Rs.4,999, our GST-focused Chennai practice runs the entire process on written checklists and senior-reviewed submissions.
We serve businesses on and around Jothi Nagar — document pickup, in-person consultation at our Porur office, or fully online over WhatsApp.
Share your number — a senior GST consultant calls you back within 30 minutes.
Every locality in Chennai has its own commercial rhythm, and Alandur is no exception. Alandur, at the Kathipara junction of GST Road and Inner Ring Road with a metro interchange, is a base for transporters, warehouses and traders serving the airport belt. Consignors must issue e-way bills for goods movements above Rs.50,000, and businesses hiring lorries routinely miss reverse charge liability on GTA freight until an audit or ASMT-10 notice surfaces it. Our practice has shaped its GST Refund RFD-01 work around exactly these realities, serving clients in Alandur as well as Guindy and St. Thomas Mount. Registrations, returns, refunds and notice replies are handled by one accountable team, with fees fixed in writing before work begins and every filing reconciled against portal data before it is submitted.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
Tally, Zoho Books, Busy, marketplace reports, plain Excel or even a handwritten bill book — we take your data in whatever form your Alandur business already maintains it. You are never forced to buy new software or retrain staff just to become our client.
We are a Chennai firm with a physical office, not a faceless portal. If you prefer to sit across a table with your papers, you are welcome. Clients from Alandur regularly visit us for registrations, notice discussions and annual return reviews.
When an ADT-01 audit intimation or a personal hearing date arrives, we compile the records, prepare the reconciliations and draft the submissions, and coordinate closely with your authorised representative. You walk into the proceeding prepared, not improvising in front of an officer.
We tell you when the composition scheme stops making sense, when QRMP suits your cash flow, and when a supplier's non-compliance is quietly costing you credit. Filing is the minimum; helping you make better GST decisions is the actual job.
A registration cancelled for non-filing is not the end of the road. We bring the pending returns up to date, clear the dues and file the revocation application in REG-21 within the permitted window, restoring suspended and cancelled GSTINs to active status.
E-invoicing is mandatory once turnover crosses Rs.5 crore and e-way bills apply to goods movements above Rs.50,000. We set up, train and troubleshoot both systems, so your despatches from Alandur are never held up by a compliance gap at the gate.
We identify the correct refund category, confirm the two-year limitation from the relevant date, and compute the admissible amount using the formula prescribed under the rules.
Invoices, shipping bills, FIRCs, the LUT and ledger extracts are compiled into the prescribed statements, and gaps that commonly cause deficiency memos are fixed upfront.
The refund application is filed on the portal with all annexures and declarations, and the acknowledgement in RFD-02 is tracked within the statutory fifteen days.
We respond to any deficiency memo in RFD-03 or show cause notice in RFD-08, appear through written submissions, and pursue provisional refund where the category permits.
We track the sanction order in RFD-06 and payment advice in RFD-05, confirm the credit in your validated bank account, and archive the complete claim file.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: Application filed in 3-5 working days; sanction typically within 60 days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Complete RFD-01 applications with proper statements and annexures move through the system faster and attract fewer deficiency memos, which means export and inverted-duty refunds reach your bank account sooner.
Filed returns, challans, reconciliations and working papers are archived in order from day one. If an audit or departmental verification comes, your file is ready the same week, not assembled in a panic.
Consistent, reconciled returns give the department's matching systems nothing to flag. Clients who move to us after years of self-filing typically see scrutiny queries and mismatch notices fall away within a few filing cycles.
Interest on delayed GST payment runs at 18 percent per annum, which is costlier than most working capital finance. Timely computation and payment through our calendar keeps that meter permanently at zero.
Funding rounds, partnerships and business sales all begin with a compliance check. A clean, documented GST history lets you clear that scrutiny quickly instead of watching a deal stall over old filing gaps.
Your billing staff are guided on invoice fields, rates and series discipline, so mistakes are prevented where they originate — at the counter — instead of being repaired later in the returns.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Portal credentials and data | Logins handled by a small engaged team under strict confidentiality, with credentials stored securely and never passed onward. | Passwords circulating on chats with freelancers and part-timers, and no accountability for who has accessed your business data. |
| Due-date tracking | A maintained compliance calendar with internal cut-offs days before the 11th and the 20th; we chase you for data, not the other way around. | Deadlines remembered from memory or phone alarms; one busy week and the return slips past the due date. |
| Registration and amendments | Query-resistant applications prepared correctly the first time, with supporting documents matched to what proper officers actually verify. | Repeated clarification memos and resubmissions, with weeks lost because a rent agreement or premises photograph did not meet expectations. |
| Goods in transit | E-way bills generated correctly and matched to invoices, so consignments pass roadside inspections without detention or penalty. | A defective or missing e-way bill can mean detention at a checkpoint, with penalties that dwarf the tax on the consignment. |
| Keeping up with changes | Rate changes, portal updates and new thresholds such as the Rs.5 crore e-invoice limit are tracked by us and applied to your case proactively. | Changes are discovered after the fact — often through a rejected filing, a blocked e-way bill or a departmental letter. |
| Refund claims | RFD-01 filed with complete statements and annexures, tracked from ARN to bank credit, with any deficiency memo answered promptly. | Incomplete claims bounce back as deficiency memos while the refund sits unclaimed for months and working capital stays blocked. |
GST law moves through notifications, circulars and court decisions. These are the ones changing how filings are prepared right now.
Circular No. 109/28/2019-GST dated 22 July 2019 · 2019-07-22
CBIC clarified that maintenance charged by a resident welfare association is exempt where it does not exceed Rs 7,500 per member per month, a limit raised from Rs 5,000 with effect from 25 January 2018. An association is liable to register only if its annual turnover exceeds Rs 20 lakh and its charges exceed Rs 7,500. Where the limit is crossed, tax is payable on the entire amount and not merely the excess. A member owning two flats gets the limit separately for each, and the association can claim input tax credit.
What it means for you: Apartment associations across Chennai should test both the Rs 20 lakh turnover and the Rs 7,500 per-flat tests, and remember that crossing the limit taxes the whole amount.
M/s. Chaizup Beverages LLP v. Assistant Commissioner — Madras High Court, W.P. Nos. 10972 and 10978 of 2020, decided 26 March 2021 (Anita Sumanth J.) · 2021-03-26
The appellate authority had rejected refund claims for August and September 2017 on the basis of a departmental circular. The Madras High Court set aside that rejection, holding that Section 54(3) of the GST Act permits an exporter to opt either for duty drawback or for refund of accumulated input tax credit, and that a circular cannot override the statutory provision. The authority was directed to process the refunds within six weeks.
What to do about it: An exporter's choice between drawback and ITC refund is a statutory right, and a departmental circular is not a valid ground to refuse the refund.
Notification No. 2/2025-Compensation Cess (Rate), dated 17 September 2025 · 2025-09-17
Alongside the new rate schedules, this notification amends the 2017 compensation cess rate notification to bring the cess down to nil on nearly every entry with effect from 22 September 2025, because the goods that had carried cess were absorbed into the new eighteen and forty per cent rates. Only pan masala, tobacco and related products continued to carry cess after that date, pending discharge of the compensation loan obligations.
What to do about it: Car and aerated drink dealers stopped charging compensation cess from 22 September 2025 and should have cleared the balance in their separate cess credit ledger.
