Alwarthirunagar's trade sits on Arcot Road and Thiruvalluvar Salai, with textile and furniture showrooms, mobile and electronics stores, restaurants, opticians and diagnostic centres, while the Vembuliamman Koil Street and Vanniyar Street lanes handle provisions, flowers and vegetables. Kamarajar Salai, Munusamy Salai and Rajamannar Salai hold marriage halls, printers and builders, and Chowdhary Nagar and Janaki Nagar carry rented shop-cum-office blocks. Shop rent on reverse charge, composition thresholds and aggregator food sales generate the bulk of local GST queries. For businesses here, staying on the right side of GST is not optional — buyers check compliance, and the department's systems match every return. Our firm provides GSTR-1 & GSTR-3B Monthly Filing to clients across Alwarthirunagar and neighbouring Valasaravakkam and Virugambakkam, combining Chennai jurisdiction familiarity with disciplined deadline tracking. Whether you run a shop, a service practice or a growing trading concern, we handle the portal work so you can stay focused on the business itself.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
We are a Chennai firm with a physical office, not a faceless portal. If you prefer to sit across a table with your papers, you are welcome. Clients from Alwarthirunagar regularly visit us for registrations, notice discussions and annual return reviews.
Quarterly filing still demands monthly attention — IFF uploads so your buyers see their credit on time, and tax payment through PMT-06 by the 25th for the first two months of each quarter. We run that monthly rhythm so QRMP saves you effort without creating gaps.
The annual return and, where turnover crosses Rs.5 crore, the self-certified reconciliation statement in GSTR-9C are prepared by the same team that filed your monthly returns. Nothing about your year has to be rediscovered or explained to a stranger in December.
Sellers on Amazon, Flipkart and other marketplaces face a three-way match between marketplace reports, GSTR-1 and the TCS the operator deposits against your GSTIN. We reconcile all three every period and accept the TCS credit, so sellers in Alwarthirunagar never leave marketplace deductions unclaimed.
We work with Chennai GST ranges and circles every week, including the jurisdiction covering Alwarthirunagar. We know how local proper officers examine registrations, what supporting documents they routinely call for, and how to present a file so it moves without repeated queries.
Whenever the GST Council notifies a late-fee waiver or an amnesty window for pending returns or old demands, we check every client's history against it and act within the deadline. Relief that businesses in Alwarthirunagar would otherwise read about after it lapsed reaches our clients in time.
At month end we remind you and collect sales invoices, purchase bills and credit notes in whatever format you maintain, including Excel, Tally exports or scanned copies.
We prepare invoice-wise outward supply details, validate GSTINs of your B2B customers, summarise B2C supplies and file GSTR-1 on the portal before the 11th.
We download your auto-drafted GSTR-2B, match it against purchase records, and claim only eligible input tax credit so that mismatches do not trigger scrutiny notices later.
We compute net tax payable after ITC set-off, share the working with you for approval, and generate the payment challan for any cash liability.
After your confirmation and tax payment, we file GSTR-3B before the 20th and send you both filed acknowledgements along with a one-page summary of the month.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: Filed before the 11th and 20th of every month · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided

Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Because monthly data is reconciled as it happens, GSTR-9 preparation before the 31 December due date becomes a review exercise rather than a painful reconstruction of twelve untidy months.
Interest on delayed GST payment runs at 18 percent per annum, which is costlier than most working capital finance. Timely computation and payment through our calendar keeps that meter permanently at zero.
With the LUT filed at the start of each financial year and refund claims tracked to credit, exporters supply without blocking funds in IGST and recover accumulated credit on schedule.
Filed returns, challans, reconciliations and working papers are archived in order from day one. If an audit or departmental verification comes, your file is ready the same week, not assembled in a panic.
Correct e-way bills matched to correct invoices mean your consignments clear roadside inspections cleanly, avoiding detention proceedings whose penalties can far exceed the tax on the goods being carried.
The 11th and the 20th stop being days of dread. You approve a prepared draft, we file, and the acknowledgement lands on your WhatsApp — month after month, without drama.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Registration and amendments | Query-resistant applications prepared correctly the first time, with supporting documents matched to what proper officers actually verify. | Repeated clarification memos and resubmissions, with weeks lost because a rent agreement or premises photograph did not meet expectations. |
| Keeping up with changes | Rate changes, portal updates and new thresholds such as the Rs.5 crore e-invoice limit are tracked by us and applied to your case proactively. | Changes are discovered after the fact — often through a rejected filing, a blocked e-way bill or a departmental letter. |
| Goods in transit | E-way bills generated correctly and matched to invoices, so consignments pass roadside inspections without detention or penalty. | A defective or missing e-way bill can mean detention at a checkpoint, with penalties that dwarf the tax on the consignment. |
| Late fees and interest | Filings go in ahead of statutory dates, so the Rs.50-per-day late fee and 18 percent interest never arise. | Late fees accumulate silently every delayed day, and interest on unpaid tax runs at 18 percent per annum. |
| Record keeping | Every return, challan, acknowledgement and working paper archived in an organised folder, retrievable in minutes years later. | Documents scattered across email, downloads and old phones; assembling records for a bank or an audit takes days. |
| Portal credentials and data | Logins handled by a small engaged team under strict confidentiality, with credentials stored securely and never passed onward. | Passwords circulating on chats with freelancers and part-timers, and no accountability for who has accessed your business data. |
A working knowledge of recent instruments and judgments is what separates a defensible filing from a risky one.
Circular No. 170/02/2022-GST · 2022-07-06
The Board made it mandatory to report inter-State supplies made to unregistered persons, composition dealers and UIN holders correctly in Table 3.2 of GSTR-3B, consistent with GSTR-1. It also reset Table 4. Total credit as per GSTR-2B is taken in Table 4(A), permanent reversals such as Rules 42 and 43 and blocked credit under Section 17(5) are shown in Table 4(B)(1), temporary reversals in Table 4(B)(2), and credit reclaimed later is shown in 4(A)(5) with 4(D)(1).
What to do about it: Chennai businesses should follow this exact reporting pattern in every GSTR-3B, because scrutiny notices in ASMT-10 routinely compare Table 4 figures with GSTR-2B line by line.
Eicher Motors Ltd v. Superintendent of GST and Central Excise — Madras High Court, 2024 · 2024-01-23
Eicher Motors had deposited tax amounts into its electronic cash ledger before the due dates but filed GSTR-3B belatedly owing to transitional credit issues, and the department demanded interest under Section 50. The Madras High Court held that once the amount is credited to the Government via the electronic cash ledger by the due date, the tax liability stands discharged to that extent, and no interest is leviable merely because the return was filed late. This reasoning has since been followed by other High Courts.
What it means for you: If cash was parked in your electronic cash ledger before the due date, contest any interest demand for delayed GSTR-3B filing on that amount.
13th GST Council Meeting, New Delhi — 31 March 2017 (Signed Minutes, Agenda Items 2 and 3) · 2017-03-31
The Council approved in principle four draft GST Rules covering Input Tax Credit, Valuation, Transitional Provisions and Composition, and approved the amended versions of five rules already cleared earlier, namely Registration, Return, Payment, Refund, and Invoice and Debit or Credit Note. The rules were to be circulated to the States and placed in the public domain for comment before final approval, which is how the CGST Rules, 2017 took the shape businesses work with today.
Practical effect: The invoicing, credit and refund procedures a Chennai business follows are governed by rules whose architecture was settled at this single meeting.
