ASMT-10 Scrutiny Reply in Nerkundram does not have to mean portal errors, guesswork and due-date tension. For a fixed fee starting Rs.3,999, an accountable Chennai practice prepares, reconciles, reviews and files — and remains answerable long after the acknowledgement arrives.
Share your number — a senior GST consultant calls you back within 30 minutes.
Finding dependable ASMT-10 Scrutiny Reply in Nerkundram usually means choosing between a distant online portal and an overloaded local accountant. Nerkundram backs onto the Koyambedu wholesale complex across Padikuppam Road, so the lanes off Nerkundram Road and Mettukuppam Main Road are full of vegetable and fruit commission agents, onion godowns, cold storages, gunny and packaging traders and lorry operators. Golden George Nagar, the MMDA Colony blocks and Sakthi Nagar add service offices and rented sheds along Justice Rathnavel Pandian Road. Exempt produce sitting alongside taxable freight and packing makes credit apportionment and e-way bills the constant issue. We offer a third option: a professional Chennai GST practice that treats Nerkundram, Koyambedu and Mogappair as home ground, responds the same working day, files ahead of deadlines, and stands behind its work if a notice ever arrives on a return we prepared.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
Every new client receives a review of their recent returns before we file anything — unclaimed credit, GSTR-1 versus GSTR-3B drift, and exposures worth correcting quietly. Businesses in Nerkundram often discover in this first review exactly why their previous arrangement was costing them money.
Winding up attracts its own GST obligations — the cancellation application, reversal of credit on closing stock, and the final return in GSTR-10 within three months. We close registrations properly so a business you shut in Nerkundram never writes back to you as a demand years later.
The annual return and, where turnover crosses Rs.5 crore, the self-certified reconciliation statement in GSTR-9C are prepared by the same team that filed your monthly returns. Nothing about your year has to be rediscovered or explained to a stranger in December.
Freight paid to transporters, advocate fees, imported services and other notified supplies attract GST under reverse charge, with self-invoicing where the supplier is unregistered. We maintain a running RCM check every period, because this is the liability self-filers most consistently miss.
Whenever the GST Council notifies a late-fee waiver or an amnesty window for pending returns or old demands, we check every client's history against it and act within the deadline. Relief that businesses in Nerkundram would otherwise read about after it lapsed reaches our clients in time.
If your GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B start drifting apart, if a large supplier stops filing, or if your turnover approaches the e-invoice threshold, we flag it to you immediately. Early warnings from our side are cheaper than departmental letters later.
Each item in the ASMT-10 annexure is mapped to its source, whether a GSTR-1 versus 3B gap, a 2B excess, or an e-way bill mismatch.
We rebuild the numbers from invoices and registers, identifying timing differences, amendments and credit notes that legitimately explain the gaps the officer has computed.
For each discrepancy we advise whether to explain with evidence or accept and pay, so the reply concedes nothing that is actually defensible.
The reply is drafted with annexures, approved by you, and filed in Form ASMT-11 within the thirty-day limit, with DRC-03 attached for any admitted amount.
We pursue the officer for the acceptance order in ASMT-12, respond to any further queries, and document the closure to protect you in future proceedings.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: Draft reply in 4-6 working days; statutory limit 30 days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Correct, complete tax invoices signal a well-run business to customers, vendors and banks alike, quietly strengthening your credibility in every transaction where your paperwork is seen.
Amounts deducted by government buyers as GST TDS and by marketplaces as TCS are accepted on the portal each period, so money withheld against your GSTIN actually reaches your cash ledger instead of lying unclaimed.
Excess balances parked in the electronic cash ledger are identified during regular ledger reviews and either utilised against upcoming liability or claimed back as a refund, instead of sitting interest-free with the government.
Because turnover in your GST returns is kept aligned with your accounts through the year, income tax filing and statutory audit proceed without the GST-versus-books mismatch queries that now surface routinely through data matching.
Late-fee waivers and amnesty windows notified by the GST Council are applied to your history within their deadlines, capturing reliefs that most businesses only hear about once the window has already closed.
The 11th and the 20th stop being days of dread. You approve a prepared draft, we file, and the acknowledgement lands on your WhatsApp — month after month, without drama.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Record keeping | Every return, challan, acknowledgement and working paper archived in an organised folder, retrievable in minutes years later. | Documents scattered across email, downloads and old phones; assembling records for a bank or an audit takes days. |
| Due-date tracking | A maintained compliance calendar with internal cut-offs days before the 11th and the 20th; we chase you for data, not the other way around. | Deadlines remembered from memory or phone alarms; one busy week and the return slips past the due date. |
| Goods in transit | E-way bills generated correctly and matched to invoices, so consignments pass roadside inspections without detention or penalty. | A defective or missing e-way bill can mean detention at a checkpoint, with penalties that dwarf the tax on the consignment. |
| Time cost | Roughly an hour a month to send data and approve drafts; the portal work, reconciliation and follow-up are ours. | Hours every month lost to portal errors, JSON files, OTP failures and reworking figures — usually on the due date itself. |
| When a notice arrives | A professional drafts the reply in the department's format and files it within the statutory window, such as thirty days for ASMT-11. | You face departmental language alone, and a missed reply deadline can convert a simple query into a demand with penalty. |
| Risk of notices | GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-2B reconciled before filing, removing the mismatches that trigger most scrutiny notices. | Inconsistent figures across returns quietly build a mismatch history that surfaces later as ASMT-10 scrutiny or a demand notice. |
Real notifications, rulings and case law our consultants track — and apply to client filings and notice replies.
Circular No. 164/20/2021-GST dated 06.10.2021 · 2021-10-06
This circular settled several long-running food service disputes. It clarified that service by cloud kitchens and central kitchens is restaurant service attracting 5 per cent without input tax credit, while ice cream parlours that sell already manufactured ice cream without any element of cooking supply goods and attract the applicable goods rate with credit. It also clarified the treatment of coaching services supplied under a government scholarship scheme, overloading charges recovered at toll plazas, and services in relation to admission to amusement parks.
What to do about it: A Chennai cloud kitchen bills at 5 per cent without credit, but an ice cream parlour selling tubs and cones must charge the goods rate and can keep its credits.
45th GST Council Meeting, Lucknow — 17 September 2021 · 2021-09-17
The Council decided that the rate changes needed to correct the inverted duty structure in the footwear and textiles sectors, discussed and deferred at an earlier meeting, would be implemented with effect from 1 January 2022. The correction involved moving fabrics, garments and footwear below the earlier value thresholds from 5 per cent up to 12 per cent so that output tax would exceed input tax and refund claims would cease. The Council also set up Groups of Ministers on rate rationalisation and on using technology to improve compliance.
What it means for you: Tamil Nadu's textile and footwear clusters faced a five to twelve per cent increase from January 2022, a decision the Council reversed for textiles on 31 December 2021, the eve of implementation.
Navbharat Imports - AAR Tamil Nadu, Advance Ruling No. 35/AAR/2021, dated 30 September 2021 · 2021-09-30
The importer sold a range of children's toys, some containing electronic circuits and some working purely mechanically. It asked for the correct rate on each. The Authority held that toys containing electronic components attract 18 percent under the residual entry for electronic toys, irrespective of how those components are used, so children's scooters and smart tricycles with lights and music are taxed at 18 percent, while toys that work without electronics remain at 12 percent.
Why this matters: Chennai toy traders must classify item by item, because a single electronic component moves a product from 12 to 18 percent.
