Whether you are a first-time registrant or an established trader, Composition & CMP-08 in Kelambakkam deserves a specialist rather than a side job. From Rs.499, our GST-focused Chennai practice runs the entire process on written checklists and senior-reviewed submissions.
Share your number — a senior GST consultant calls you back within 30 minutes.
Choosing Composition & CMP-08 in Kelambakkam is ultimately an act of trust: you are handing over sales figures, purchase records and portal access. Kelambakkam commands the junction where the Vandalur-Kelambakkam Road meets Old Mahabalipuram Road, anchored by Chettinad Health City's hospital and university campuses and ringed by new apartment projects spreading towards Pudupakkam. Hospitals mixing exempt healthcare with taxable pharmacy and canteen sales must apportion input tax credit, and land promoters converting farm parcels into layouts need clarity on which part of their consideration attracts GST. We earn that trust the unglamorous way — fixed fees honoured, drafts approved by you before filing, acknowledgements shared the same day, and strict confidentiality throughout. Clients across Kelambakkam, Siruseri and Padur have stayed with us for years on precisely this basis.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
GSTR-1 requires four-digit HSN reporting for turnover up to Rs.5 crore and six digits above it, and a wrong code often means a wrong rate. We verify the classification of what you actually supply, so your invoices and returns rest on defensible codes.
Whenever the GST Council notifies a late-fee waiver or an amnesty window for pending returns or old demands, we check every client's history against it and act within the deadline. Relief that businesses in Kelambakkam would otherwise read about after it lapsed reaches our clients in time.
You are told the full fee before we begin, in writing. No surprise additions for uploads, revisions or acknowledgements. Government fees and taxes, where applicable, are shown separately, so businesses in Kelambakkam always know exactly what the engagement costs them.
Goods sent to job workers must move on delivery challans, return within the statutory period, and be reported in ITC-04. We track every outward and return leg for manufacturing clients in Kelambakkam, so inputs sent out for processing never quietly convert into a deemed supply carrying tax and interest.
No filing leaves our desk on a junior's judgement alone. A senior GST practitioner reviews your figures, ITC claims and tax computation before submission, so errors are caught at our table and not by the department months later through a notice.
From filing the LUT in RFD-11 at the start of each financial year to preparing RFD-01 refund claims with complete annexures, we know what makes a refund file move. Exporters and inverted-duty businesses come to us specifically for this.
We verify your turnover and business type against composition conditions, and file CMP-02 to opt in from the start of the financial year where applicable.
Each quarter we collect your sales summary, apply the correct composition rate, and add any tax payable under reverse charge on specified inward supplies.
The statement-cum-challan in Form CMP-08 is prepared, tax is paid, and the form is filed by the 18th of the month following the quarter.
After year end we consolidate the four quarters, reconcile with your books, and file the annual return in GSTR-4 before the 30 June due date.
We track your cumulative turnover through the year and, if the Rs.1.5 crore or Rs.50 lakh limit nears, manage a clean transition to the regular scheme.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: CMP-08 by the 18th after each quarter; GSTR-4 by 30 June · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Rs.1,799/year
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Your scheme choice — regular, composition or QRMP — is re-examined as turnover and margins change, so you are always paying under the structure that legitimately costs your business the least.
Correct, complete tax invoices signal a well-run business to customers, vendors and banks alike, quietly strengthening your credibility in every transaction where your paperwork is seen.
Filed returns, challans, reconciliations and working papers are archived in order from day one. If an audit or departmental verification comes, your file is ready the same week, not assembled in a panic.
Because monthly data is reconciled as it happens, GSTR-9 preparation before the 31 December due date becomes a review exercise rather than a painful reconstruction of twelve untidy months.
Where a genuine error is found in a past period, voluntary payment through DRC-03 before any notice issues closes the matter at minimal cost, instead of letting it ripen into a demand with penalty.
Amounts deducted by government buyers as GST TDS and by marketplaces as TCS are accepted on the portal each period, so money withheld against your GSTIN actually reaches your cash ledger instead of lying unclaimed.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Keeping up with changes | Rate changes, portal updates and new thresholds such as the Rs.5 crore e-invoice limit are tracked by us and applied to your case proactively. | Changes are discovered after the fact — often through a rejected filing, a blocked e-way bill or a departmental letter. |
| Time cost | Roughly an hour a month to send data and approve drafts; the portal work, reconciliation and follow-up are ours. | Hours every month lost to portal errors, JSON files, OTP failures and reworking figures — usually on the due date itself. |
| Input tax credit | Purchase register matched against GSTR-2B each period, with defaulting suppliers chased so eligible credit is actually captured. | Credit claimed from books alone; mismatches with GSTR-2B mean lost credit or excess claims that invite departmental queries. |
| Refund claims | RFD-01 filed with complete statements and annexures, tracked from ARN to bank credit, with any deficiency memo answered promptly. | Incomplete claims bounce back as deficiency memos while the refund sits unclaimed for months and working capital stays blocked. |
| Late fees and interest | Filings go in ahead of statutory dates, so the Rs.50-per-day late fee and 18 percent interest never arise. | Late fees accumulate silently every delayed day, and interest on unpaid tax runs at 18 percent per annum. |
| Risk of notices | GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-2B reconciled before filing, removing the mismatches that trigger most scrutiny notices. | Inconsistent figures across returns quietly build a mismatch history that surfaces later as ASMT-10 scrutiny or a demand notice. |
A working knowledge of recent instruments and judgments is what separates a defensible filing from a risky one.
Circular No. 247/04/2025-GST · 2025-02-14
Following the 55th GST Council meeting, CBIC clarified disputed classifications: ready-to-eat salted popcorn is taxable at 5 per cent (12 per cent if pre-packaged and labelled) while caramelised popcorn falls at 18 per cent as sugar confectionery; autoclaved aerated concrete blocks with over 50 per cent fly ash content attract 12 per cent; and dried pepper supplied by an agriculturist remains exempt. Past periods were regularised on an as-is-where-is basis to prevent retrospective demands.
What to do about it: Food processors and building-material traders should re-check product classifications against this circular, since regularisation protects past periods but the clarified rates bind future supplies.
55th GST Council Meeting, Jaisalmer — 21 December 2024 · 2024-12-21
The 55th meeting reduced GST on fortified rice kernel (FRK) to 5 per cent regardless of end use, supporting public distribution fortification programmes. Gene therapy was fully exempted from GST, a major relief for patients of ultra-expensive treatments. Autoclaved aerated concrete (ACC) blocks containing more than 50 per cent fly ash content were classified under HS 6815 at 12 per cent. The Council also reduced the rate of compensation cess to 0.1 per cent on supplies to merchant exporters, bringing it on par with the concessional 0.1 per cent GST rate on such supplies.
Why this matters: Construction suppliers dealing in fly-ash-based AAC blocks should bill at 12 per cent and revisit classification disputes on past supplies.
State of West Bengal v. Calcutta Club Ltd — Supreme Court, (2019) 19 SCC 107, judgment dated 03-10-2019 · 2019-10-03
The Supreme Court held that the doctrine of mutuality survived the Forty-sixth Constitutional Amendment. Supplies of food, drink and services by an incorporated members' club to its own members are not a sale or a service to another person, so sales tax and service tax could not be levied. Note that GST law was later amended, with retrospective effect from 1 July 2017, to specifically tax supplies between a club or association and its members.
Why this matters: Chennai clubs, associations and resident welfare bodies cannot rely on mutuality under GST any longer, as the law was amended to override this ruling.
