The 11th and the 20th arrive every month whether you are ready or not. Our Chennai team keeps businesses in Chitlapakkam permanently ahead of both, delivering Registration Amendment REG-14 from Rs.999 with reconciliation, senior review and WhatsApp acknowledgements as standard.
Share your number — a senior GST consultant calls you back within 30 minutes.
Chitlapakkam is a dense middle-class suburb wrapped around Chitlapakkam Lake between Chromepet and Selaiyur, its Main Road lined with provision stores, bakeries, pharmacies, tuition centres and small boutiques. Most traders here operate close to the Rs.40 lakh goods registration threshold, so registration timing, quarterly filing under the QRMP scheme and CMP-08 payment discipline for composition dealers dominate GST consultations in this locality. From a first registration to the annual return, the full range of Registration Amendment REG-14 is available to Chitlapakkam businesses without stepping far from the shop or office — documents travel over WhatsApp, and our Chennai premises are open to anyone who prefers a face-to-face discussion. We serve Chromepet and Selaiyur on the same footing, applying one rule everywhere: reconcile before filing, file before the due date, and keep the client informed at every stage.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
A new GSTIN comes with obligations nobody explains at approval — the invoice series rules, displaying the registration certificate and GSTIN at your premises, and the first return cycle. We walk new registrants in Chitlapakkam through each of these so month one starts correctly.
Your sales figures, supplier lists and login credentials are handled only by our engaged team, stored securely and never shared with any third party. Many of our clients in Chitlapakkam compete with each other; complete confidentiality is a condition of our work.
From filing the LUT in RFD-11 at the start of each financial year to preparing RFD-01 refund claims with complete annexures, we know what makes a refund file move. Exporters and inverted-duty businesses come to us specifically for this.
Traders, manufacturers, contractors, e-commerce sellers, professionals and service exporters — we have handled GST for all of them. Whatever mix of goods and services your Chitlapakkam business supplies, the rate, classification and place-of-supply questions have almost certainly crossed our desk before.
We are a Chennai firm with a physical office, not a faceless portal. If you prefer to sit across a table with your papers, you are welcome. Clients from Chitlapakkam regularly visit us for registrations, notice discussions and annual return reviews.
Send your query on call or WhatsApp and you hear back the same working day, usually within a few hours. When a due date is close or a notice has landed, waiting two days for a reply is simply not acceptable, and we know it.
We identify exactly which fields need amendment, whether they are core or non-core, and what documentary proof the jurisdictional officer will expect.
Address proofs, deeds, resolutions and identity documents are collected and formatted to portal specifications so the application is not held up for legibility or size issues.
The amendment application is filed with a precise reason and effective date of the change, signed with DSC or EVC as applicable to your entity.
For core amendments we track officer action daily and respond to any clarification sought, keeping the approval within the expected fifteen-day window.
Once approved, we download the amended registration certificate, verify every changed field on the portal, and advise on updating invoices, sign boards and e-way bill records.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: Core field approval in about 15 days; non-core immediate · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
With the LUT filed at the start of each financial year and refund claims tracked to credit, exporters supply without blocking funds in IGST and recover accumulated credit on schedule.
Systematic GSTR-2B matching and supplier follow-up mean input tax credit that was leaking away under self-filing is captured each month, directly reducing the cash you pay out with every GSTR-3B.
Whether moving between composition and regular scheme, opting into QRMP, or crossing the e-invoice threshold at Rs.5 crore, transitions are planned in advance rather than discovered after a compliance breach.
Advances received for services attract GST on receipt while advances for goods generally do not; applying this distinction correctly means you neither prepay tax unnecessarily nor omit a liability that surfaces later with interest.
Your scheme choice — regular, composition or QRMP — is re-examined as turnover and margins change, so you are always paying under the structure that legitimately costs your business the least.
Excess balances parked in the electronic cash ledger are identified during regular ledger reviews and either utilised against upcoming liability or claimed back as a refund, instead of sitting interest-free with the government.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Refund claims | RFD-01 filed with complete statements and annexures, tracked from ARN to bank credit, with any deficiency memo answered promptly. | Incomplete claims bounce back as deficiency memos while the refund sits unclaimed for months and working capital stays blocked. |
| Time cost | Roughly an hour a month to send data and approve drafts; the portal work, reconciliation and follow-up are ours. | Hours every month lost to portal errors, JSON files, OTP failures and reworking figures — usually on the due date itself. |
| When a notice arrives | A professional drafts the reply in the department's format and files it within the statutory window, such as thirty days for ASMT-11. | You face departmental language alone, and a missed reply deadline can convert a simple query into a demand with penalty. |
| Record keeping | Every return, challan, acknowledgement and working paper archived in an organised folder, retrievable in minutes years later. | Documents scattered across email, downloads and old phones; assembling records for a bank or an audit takes days. |
| Registration and amendments | Query-resistant applications prepared correctly the first time, with supporting documents matched to what proper officers actually verify. | Repeated clarification memos and resubmissions, with weeks lost because a rent agreement or premises photograph did not meet expectations. |
| Keeping up with changes | Rate changes, portal updates and new thresholds such as the Rs.5 crore e-invoice limit are tracked by us and applied to your case proactively. | Changes are discovered after the fact — often through a rejected filing, a blocked e-way bill or a departmental letter. |
A working knowledge of recent instruments and judgments is what separates a defensible filing from a risky one.
36th GST Council Meeting (video conferencing) — 27 July 2019 · 2019-07-27
The Council reduced GST on all electric vehicles from 12 per cent to 5 per cent and on chargers or charging stations for electric vehicles from 18 per cent to 5 per cent. Hiring of electric buses with carrying capacity of more than twelve passengers by local authorities was exempted. All these changes took effect from 1 August 2019. The Council also extended the last date for opting into the six per cent service composition scheme in CMP-02 to 30 September 2019.
How we apply it: Electric vehicle dealers and charging point operators in Chennai bill at five per cent, a rate that has survived every later rate revision including GST 2.0.
Notification No. 10/2018-Central Tax (Rate) dated 23.03.2018 · 2018-03-23
This notification amended Notification 08/2017-Central Tax (Rate) to extend the exemption from reverse charge on intra-State supplies received by a registered person from an unregistered supplier, moving the end date from 31 March 2018 to 30 June 2018. It was the first of several extensions granted while the Government considered how to redesign section 9(4) rather than let it revive in its original sweeping form.
What to do about it: For any Chennai scrutiny covering the first quarter of 2018-19, this notification confirms that unregistered purchases still attracted no reverse charge liability.
M/s. Ajay Agency v. State Tax Officer — Madras High Court, W.P. No. 8507 of 2023, decided 30 March 2023 (Anita Sumanth J.) · 2023-03-30
A consignment of power weeders was intercepted on 6 March 2023 at about 10.30 a.m., the e-way bill having expired at 11.59 p.m. the previous night. The taxpayer pleaded a vehicle breakdown. The Court declined to interfere, noting that the validity could have been extended within the permitted window and had not been, and that the officer's decision to detain and penalise under Section 129(1) was not unreasonable. The writ petition was dismissed with liberty to file a statutory appeal.
How we apply it: Chennai transporters must extend e-way bill validity within the permitted window when a vehicle breaks down; the High Court will not excuse an expired bill merely because of a breakdown.
