Whether you are a first-time registrant or an established trader, GSTR-1 & GSTR-3B Monthly Filing in Kolathur deserves a specialist rather than a side job. From Rs.749, our GST-focused Chennai practice runs the entire process on written checklists and senior-reviewed submissions.
We serve businesses on and around Srinivasa Nagar — document pickup, in-person consultation at our Porur office, or fully online over WhatsApp.
Share your number — a senior GST consultant calls you back within 30 minutes.
Kolathur is India's best-known ornamental fish hub, with breeding farms and aquarium shops clustered off Red Hills Road near Retteri junction, alongside hardware stores and construction material suppliers serving fast-growing residential pockets like Poombuhar Nagar. Many fish breeders and online sellers cross the Rs.40 lakh goods threshold without realising it, making first-time registration and e-commerce reporting the local GST pain point. Years of working in and around Kolathur have shown us where GST trouble actually begins here — supplier defaults, classification doubts and deadlines lost in busy trading weeks. Our GSTR-1 & GSTR-3B Monthly Filing is built to close precisely those gaps, and the same team supports businesses in Villivakkam and Perambur, each with one point of contact and a compliance calendar maintained on their behalf.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
Goods sent to job workers must move on delivery challans, return within the statutory period, and be reported in ITC-04. We track every outward and return leg for manufacturing clients in Kolathur, so inputs sent out for processing never quietly convert into a deemed supply carrying tax and interest.
A registration cancelled for non-filing is not the end of the road. We bring the pending returns up to date, clear the dues and file the revocation application in REG-21 within the permitted window, restoring suspended and cancelled GSTINs to active status.
Freight paid to transporters, advocate fees, imported services and other notified supplies attract GST under reverse charge, with self-invoicing where the supplier is unregistered. We maintain a running RCM check every period, because this is the liability self-filers most consistently miss.
Your sales figures, supplier lists and login credentials are handled only by our engaged team, stored securely and never shared with any third party. Many of our clients in Kolathur compete with each other; complete confidentiality is a condition of our work.
We match your purchase register against GSTR-2B every period, follow up on invoices your suppliers have not uploaded, and ensure every rupee of eligible input tax credit is claimed. Clients routinely recover credit they were silently losing under self-filing.
Tally, Zoho Books, Busy, marketplace reports, plain Excel or even a handwritten bill book — we take your data in whatever form your Kolathur business already maintains it. You are never forced to buy new software or retrain staff just to become our client.
At month end we remind you and collect sales invoices, purchase bills and credit notes in whatever format you maintain, including Excel, Tally exports or scanned copies.
We prepare invoice-wise outward supply details, validate GSTINs of your B2B customers, summarise B2C supplies and file GSTR-1 on the portal before the 11th.
We download your auto-drafted GSTR-2B, match it against purchase records, and claim only eligible input tax credit so that mismatches do not trigger scrutiny notices later.
We compute net tax payable after ITC set-off, share the working with you for approval, and generate the payment challan for any cash liability.
After your confirmation and tax payment, we file GSTR-3B before the 20th and send you both filed acknowledgements along with a one-page summary of the month.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: Filed before the 11th and 20th of every month · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided

Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Whether moving between composition and regular scheme, opting into QRMP, or crossing the e-invoice threshold at Rs.5 crore, transitions are planned in advance rather than discovered after a compliance breach.
With returns filed ahead of the statutory due dates every period, the Rs.50-per-day GSTR-3B late fee simply stops appearing in your life, and the money stays in your business where it belongs.
You know your expected GST outflow days before the 20th, not on the night of filing. That advance visibility lets you plan payments, collections and bank balances instead of scrambling for funds at the deadline.
The 11th and the 20th stop being days of dread. You approve a prepared draft, we file, and the acknowledgement lands on your WhatsApp — month after month, without drama.
Your scheme choice — regular, composition or QRMP — is re-examined as turnover and margins change, so you are always paying under the structure that legitimately costs your business the least.
Getting IGST versus CGST and SGST right at the invoice stage spares you the painful cycle of paying the correct head again and pursuing a refund of the amount paid under the wrong one.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Annual return preparation | Monthly reconciliations roll naturally into GSTR-9, filed comfortably before 31 December with figures already agreed through the year. | Twelve months of unmatched data reconstructed in December, with differences discovered too late to be corrected cleanly. |
| Time cost | Roughly an hour a month to send data and approve drafts; the portal work, reconciliation and follow-up are ours. | Hours every month lost to portal errors, JSON files, OTP failures and reworking figures — usually on the due date itself. |
| Portal credentials and data | Logins handled by a small engaged team under strict confidentiality, with credentials stored securely and never passed onward. | Passwords circulating on chats with freelancers and part-timers, and no accountability for who has accessed your business data. |
| Late fees and interest | Filings go in ahead of statutory dates, so the Rs.50-per-day late fee and 18 percent interest never arise. | Late fees accumulate silently every delayed day, and interest on unpaid tax runs at 18 percent per annum. |
| Risk of notices | GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-2B reconciled before filing, removing the mismatches that trigger most scrutiny notices. | Inconsistent figures across returns quietly build a mismatch history that surfaces later as ASMT-10 scrutiny or a demand notice. |
| Due-date tracking | A maintained compliance calendar with internal cut-offs days before the 11th and the 20th; we chase you for data, not the other way around. | Deadlines remembered from memory or phone alarms; one busy week and the return slips past the due date. |
Selected notifications, Council decisions and court rulings that practising consultants are applying to live cases.
Notification No. 15/2018-Central Tax dated 23.03.2018 · 2018-03-23
This notification appointed 1 April 2018 as the date from which the substituted e-way bill provisions in rules 138 to 138D came into force. From that date an e-way bill became mandatory for inter-State movement of goods of consignment value exceeding Rs 50,000. Intra-State e-way bill requirements were rolled out State by State over the following weeks under State notifications, rather than by this Central notification.
What to do about it: For a Chennai business, inter-State e-way bills have been compulsory since 1 April 2018, while the Tamil Nadu intra-State position was notified separately by the State authority.
18th GST Council Meeting, New Delhi — 30 June 2017 (Signed Minutes, Agenda Item 3) · 2017-06-30
Meeting on the day GST was launched, the Council revisited the rate on fertilisers. Officers calculated the pre-GST incidence at about 9.75 per cent, placing fertilisers between the five and twelve per cent slabs. After almost every State supported relief for farmers, the Chairperson recorded a consensus and the Council agreed to tax fertilisers at five per cent instead of twelve, notwithstanding the inverted duty refund burden this would create for manufacturers whose inputs were taxed at eighteen per cent.
How we apply it: The Council reopened a rate it had already fixed only weeks earlier, and the cut created the inverted duty structure that fertiliser dealers still claim refunds under.
Kone Elevator India (P) Ltd v. State of Tamil Nadu — Supreme Court, Constitution Bench, (2014) 7 SCC 1, judgment dated 06-05-2014 · 2014-05-06
A five-judge Bench overruled the earlier view and held that a composite contract for manufacture, supply and installation of a lift is a works contract, because the lift comes into existence as a functional unit only on installation at site. The dominant nature test was rejected for contracts falling within the deemed sale of works contracts. The composite character of such contracts is now the basis of works contract taxation under GST.
How we apply it: Chennai contractors doing supply-plus-installation work should classify the transaction as a works contract service under GST rather than splitting it into goods and labour.
