New GST Registration in Kovilambakkam does not have to mean portal errors, guesswork and due-date tension. For a fixed fee starting Rs.1,499, an accountable Chennai practice prepares, reconciles, reviews and files — and remains answerable long after the acknowledgement arrives.
We serve businesses on and around English Electric Nagar 1st Street — document pickup, in-person consultation at our Porur office, or fully online over WhatsApp.
Share your number — a senior GST consultant calls you back within 30 minutes.
Kovilambakkam straddles Medavakkam Main Road and the Pallavaram - Thoraipakkam Radial Road near Eachangadu Junction and the Keelkattalai Flyover, with apartment promoters, tile and hardware showrooms, timber depots, packers-and-movers and car workshops along Ezhumalai Road and Sathya Nagar Main Road. Promoters here mishandle the affordable-housing value cap and the input credit reversal on flats left unsold at completion certificate. Against that backdrop, New GST Registration in Kovilambakkam demands more than data entry — it needs reconciliation before filing, correct classification and awareness of what local officers examine. Our Chennai team provides exactly that to clients in Kovilambakkam, Keelkattalai and Madipakkam, with same-day responses on working days and WhatsApp updates at every stage. Most routine engagements complete within one to two working days once documents are in hand.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
Freight paid to transporters, advocate fees, imported services and other notified supplies attract GST under reverse charge, with self-invoicing where the supplier is unregistered. We maintain a running RCM check every period, because this is the liability self-filers most consistently miss.
If your GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B start drifting apart, if a large supplier stops filing, or if your turnover approaches the e-invoice threshold, we flag it to you immediately. Early warnings from our side are cheaper than departmental letters later.
Every new client receives a review of their recent returns before we file anything — unclaimed credit, GSTR-1 versus GSTR-3B drift, and exposures worth correcting quietly. Businesses in Kovilambakkam often discover in this first review exactly why their previous arrangement was costing them money.
No filing leaves our desk on a junior's judgement alone. A senior GST practitioner reviews your figures, ITC claims and tax computation before submission, so errors are caught at our table and not by the department months later through a notice.
Tally, Zoho Books, Busy, marketplace reports, plain Excel or even a handwritten bill book — we take your data in whatever form your Kovilambakkam business already maintains it. You are never forced to buy new software or retrain staff just to become our client.
OTP failures, DSC errors, stuck submissions on due-date evenings — we deal with the GST portal daily and know the workarounds. When the site misbehaves on the 20th, our team keeps retrying and escalating so your return still goes through.
You share PAN, Aadhaar, photographs, address proof and bank details over WhatsApp or email. We review each document against portal requirements and flag anything that could trigger an officer query.
We draft Form GST REG-01 with the correct business constitution, principal place of business, HSN or SAC codes and authorised signatory details, then share a summary for your confirmation.
The application is filed on the GST portal and we guide the authorised signatory through Aadhaar OTP authentication, which speeds up approval and usually avoids physical verification of premises.
We track the ARN daily. If the officer issues a notice in Form REG-03 seeking clarification, we draft and file the reply in Form REG-04 within the permitted time.
Once approved, we download your registration certificate in Form REG-06, help set up portal login credentials, and brief you on invoice format, return due dates and e-way bill obligations.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: 3-7 working days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Whether moving between composition and regular scheme, opting into QRMP, or crossing the e-invoice threshold at Rs.5 crore, transitions are planned in advance rather than discovered after a compliance breach.
Amounts deducted by government buyers as GST TDS and by marketplaces as TCS are accepted on the portal each period, so money withheld against your GSTIN actually reaches your cash ledger instead of lying unclaimed.
Advances received for services attract GST on receipt while advances for goods generally do not; applying this distinction correctly means you neither prepay tax unnecessarily nor omit a liability that surfaces later with interest.
You know your expected GST outflow days before the 20th, not on the night of filing. That advance visibility lets you plan payments, collections and bank balances instead of scrambling for funds at the deadline.
Continuous filing protects you from the suspension and cancellation proceedings that hit chronic non-filers, so your registration, e-way bill access and ability to issue tax invoices are never suddenly cut off.
Late-fee waivers and amnesty windows notified by the GST Council are applied to your history within their deadlines, capturing reliefs that most businesses only hear about once the window has already closed.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Input tax credit | Purchase register matched against GSTR-2B each period, with defaulting suppliers chased so eligible credit is actually captured. | Credit claimed from books alone; mismatches with GSTR-2B mean lost credit or excess claims that invite departmental queries. |
| Portal credentials and data | Logins handled by a small engaged team under strict confidentiality, with credentials stored securely and never passed onward. | Passwords circulating on chats with freelancers and part-timers, and no accountability for who has accessed your business data. |
| When a notice arrives | A professional drafts the reply in the department's format and files it within the statutory window, such as thirty days for ASMT-11. | You face departmental language alone, and a missed reply deadline can convert a simple query into a demand with penalty. |
| Keeping up with changes | Rate changes, portal updates and new thresholds such as the Rs.5 crore e-invoice limit are tracked by us and applied to your case proactively. | Changes are discovered after the fact — often through a rejected filing, a blocked e-way bill or a departmental letter. |
| Risk of notices | GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-2B reconciled before filing, removing the mismatches that trigger most scrutiny notices. | Inconsistent figures across returns quietly build a mismatch history that surfaces later as ASMT-10 scrutiny or a demand notice. |
| Supplier defaults | Suppliers who stop uploading invoices are identified within the period and pursued before their default becomes your blocked credit. | Missing supplier invoices surface only when credit is denied, by which time recovering the amount from the vendor is difficult. |

Circular No. 149/05/2021-GST dated 17.06.2021 · 2021-06-17
CBIC clarified that serving food in schools under the mid-day meal programme is exempt from GST, and that the exemption extends to pre-schools and anganwadis, which are covered within the meaning of an educational institution providing pre-school education. It further clarified that the exemption applies whether the meals are funded by government grants or by corporate donations, since the entry does not distinguish by source of funding. The clarification protected non-profit caterers running school feeding programmes from demands.
What to do about it: Chennai caterers running school or anganwadi meal contracts are exempt, but should keep the scheme documentation on file to answer any scrutiny.
Takko Holding GmbH, India liaison office - AAR Tamil Nadu, Order No. TN/14/AAR/2018, dated 27 September 2018 · 2018-09-27
A German company's liaison office in Tamil Nadu carried on only the representational and coordination activities permitted by the Reserve Bank of India and received funds from its head office to meet office expenses. The Authority held that liaison activities carried on strictly within the RBI permission do not amount to a supply under the CGST and TNGST Acts, the remittances from the head office are not consideration, and the liaison office is neither liable to pay GST nor required to register.
How we apply it: A genuine liaison office in Chennai doing only representational work stays outside GST, but any commercial activity changes that position.
CBIC Instruction No. 04/2025-GST · 2025-05-02
To back up the registration processing instruction, CBIC required every CGST Zone to publicise a dedicated email address for registration grievances on its website and on the notice board of the concerned office. Applicants aggrieved by improper queries, unjustified rejection or delay may write to that address with the application reference number; the zone must examine the grievance, take corrective action and report the disposal to the Directorate General of GST periodically.
What it means for you: A registration rejected on flimsy grounds need not go straight to appeal; the zonal grievance email often gets the application reopened far faster.
