Most of it happens without you leaving your shop counter. Share your documents on WhatsApp, approve the prepared draft, and your GST Refund RFD-01 is completed on the portal from Rs.4,999 — by a Chennai team that businesses across Little Mount have relied on for years.
We serve businesses on and around South Avenue — document pickup, in-person consultation at our Porur office, or fully online over WhatsApp.
Share your number — a senior GST consultant calls you back within 30 minutes.
GST does not distinguish between a large showroom and a small service unit — the due dates and matching systems apply equally to both. Little Mount sits where Anna Salai meets Sardar Patel Road at the Maraimalai Adigal Bridge, anchored by the hilltop Little Mount Shrine, the state Highways Department campus and its metro station, with auto workshops and small traders spilling over from Saidapet. Works contractors billing government departments here face 2 per cent GST TDS and must reconcile GSTR-7 credits, while small garages battle recurring GSTR-3B late fees. That is why our GST Refund RFD-01 engagements in Little Mount follow the same discipline whatever the client's size: written checklists, reconciliation before filing and every acknowledgement archived. Businesses from Saidapet and Guindy run on the same process, entirely over WhatsApp if they prefer.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
Traders, manufacturers, contractors, e-commerce sellers, professionals and service exporters — we have handled GST for all of them. Whatever mix of goods and services your Little Mount business supplies, the rate, classification and place-of-supply questions have almost certainly crossed our desk before.
We tell you when the composition scheme stops making sense, when QRMP suits your cash flow, and when a supplier's non-compliance is quietly costing you credit. Filing is the minimum; helping you make better GST decisions is the actual job.
GST is confusing enough without a language barrier. Our team explains notices, tax positions and filing requirements in plain Tamil or English, whichever you and your staff in Little Mount are comfortable with, and keeps written communication simple and jargon-free.
Your sales figures, supplier lists and login credentials are handled only by our engaged team, stored securely and never shared with any third party. Many of our clients in Little Mount compete with each other; complete confidentiality is a condition of our work.
GSTR-1 requires four-digit HSN reporting for turnover up to Rs.5 crore and six digits above it, and a wrong code often means a wrong rate. We verify the classification of what you actually supply, so your invoices and returns rest on defensible codes.
A registration cancelled for non-filing is not the end of the road. We bring the pending returns up to date, clear the dues and file the revocation application in REG-21 within the permitted window, restoring suspended and cancelled GSTINs to active status.
We identify the correct refund category, confirm the two-year limitation from the relevant date, and compute the admissible amount using the formula prescribed under the rules.
Invoices, shipping bills, FIRCs, the LUT and ledger extracts are compiled into the prescribed statements, and gaps that commonly cause deficiency memos are fixed upfront.
The refund application is filed on the portal with all annexures and declarations, and the acknowledgement in RFD-02 is tracked within the statutory fifteen days.
We respond to any deficiency memo in RFD-03 or show cause notice in RFD-08, appear through written submissions, and pursue provisional refund where the category permits.
We track the sanction order in RFD-06 and payment advice in RFD-05, confirm the credit in your validated bank account, and archive the complete claim file.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: Application filed in 3-5 working days; sanction typically within 60 days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Your billing staff are guided on invoice fields, rates and series discipline, so mistakes are prevented where they originate — at the counter — instead of being repaired later in the returns.
Late-fee waivers and amnesty windows notified by the GST Council are applied to your history within their deadlines, capturing reliefs that most businesses only hear about once the window has already closed.
When a query or verification comes, you respond through a professional who deals with the department regularly, in the department's own language and format, instead of facing an officer's letter alone.
The hours you or your accountant spent wrestling with the portal, JSON errors and reconciliations every month return to sales, operations and customers, while trained hands manage the compliance in the background.
Sales returns, discounts and price revisions are adjusted through properly reported credit notes within the statutory window, so you never keep paying tax on turnover you have already reversed.
Getting IGST versus CGST and SGST right at the invoice stage spares you the painful cycle of paying the correct head again and pursuing a refund of the amount paid under the wrong one.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| When a notice arrives | A professional drafts the reply in the department's format and files it within the statutory window, such as thirty days for ASMT-11. | You face departmental language alone, and a missed reply deadline can convert a simple query into a demand with penalty. |
| Late fees and interest | Filings go in ahead of statutory dates, so the Rs.50-per-day late fee and 18 percent interest never arise. | Late fees accumulate silently every delayed day, and interest on unpaid tax runs at 18 percent per annum. |
| Goods in transit | E-way bills generated correctly and matched to invoices, so consignments pass roadside inspections without detention or penalty. | A defective or missing e-way bill can mean detention at a checkpoint, with penalties that dwarf the tax on the consignment. |
| Registration and amendments | Query-resistant applications prepared correctly the first time, with supporting documents matched to what proper officers actually verify. | Repeated clarification memos and resubmissions, with weeks lost because a rent agreement or premises photograph did not meet expectations. |
| Risk of notices | GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-2B reconciled before filing, removing the mismatches that trigger most scrutiny notices. | Inconsistent figures across returns quietly build a mismatch history that surfaces later as ASMT-10 scrutiny or a demand notice. |
| Keeping up with changes | Rate changes, portal updates and new thresholds such as the Rs.5 crore e-invoice limit are tracked by us and applied to your case proactively. | Changes are discovered after the fact — often through a rejected filing, a blocked e-way bill or a departmental letter. |
South Avenue is a residential street in Little Mount, about 500 m south-east of the centre of Little Mount. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — South Mada Street (about 100 m); Temple Avenue (about 200 m); West Mada Street (about 250 m); East Mada Street (about 250 m) — so a site visit on South Avenue can usually be combined with other work in Little Mount on the same trip. For GST purposes an address on South Avenue falls under the Chennai South CGST Commissionerate, and the Little Mount pincode is 600015.

Tata Consultancy Services v. State of Andhra Pradesh — Supreme Court, (2005) 1 SCC 308, judgment dated 05-11-2004 · 2004-11-05
The Court examined whether canned or branded software sold on floppies and discs could be taxed as goods under sales tax law. It held that the term goods covers all types of movable property, tangible or intangible, provided the item can be abstracted, transmitted, transferred, delivered, stored and possessed. Branded software satisfies that test and is goods, even though the intellectual content is intangible. Customised software developed for a single customer stands on a different footing.
Practical effect: Chennai software and IT product businesses should classify off-the-shelf licences separately from bespoke development, since the goods or services character drives the rate, the place of supply and the e-invoice treatment.
GSTN Advisory dated 8 May 2025 — changes in the refund filing process on the portal · 2025-05-08
GSTN removed the requirement to select a refund period in chronological order for certain refund categories, so a claim need not follow strict sequence, and moved those categories to invoice-based filing. For export of services with payment of tax, supplies to special economic zone units with payment of tax, and deemed export claims by the supplier, the applicant uploads the specific invoices in the relevant statement and those invoices are then locked against a repeat claim. All returns due up to the date of the claim must be filed.
Why this matters: Keep returns current and your export invoice register clean, since refunds are now claimed invoice by invoice and each invoice can be used only once.
Rotary Club of Mumbai Queens Necklace — AAAR Maharashtra (2019), on appeal from AAR Maharashtra, Advance Ruling No. GST-ARA-118/2018-19 · 2019
The club collected membership subscriptions and admission fees which were spent on meetings, administration and communication, with no facility or benefit supplied to members in return. The Maharashtra Appellate Authority for Advance Ruling held that the collections merely defray shared expenses, that there is no supply of goods or services to members, and that the amounts are therefore not consideration liable to tax.
How we apply it: Chennai associations should note that Section 7(1)(aa), inserted with retrospective effect from 1 July 2017, now treats club to member supplies as taxable, so this reasoning no longer holds.
