Whether you are a first-time registrant or an established trader, New GST Registration in Mylapore deserves a specialist rather than a side job. From Rs.1,499, our GST-focused Chennai practice runs the entire process on written checklists and senior-reviewed submissions.
We serve businesses on and around St. Mary's Road — document pickup, in-person consultation at our Porur office, or fully online over WhatsApp.
Share your number — a senior GST consultant calls you back within 30 minutes.
Mylapore runs on gold jewellery, silk sarees and temple-linked retail concentrated on North Mada Street, Luz Church Road and R.K. Mutt Road around Kapaleeswarar Temple. Jewellers face HSN and old-gold exchange valuation issues, while saree and provision traders approaching the Rs.40 lakh registration threshold or the Rs.1.5 crore composition ceiling need disciplined turnover tracking and punctual GSTR-1 filing. For businesses here, staying on the right side of GST is not optional — buyers check compliance, and the department's systems match every return. Our firm provides New GST Registration to clients across Mylapore and neighbouring Alwarpet and Mandaveli, combining Chennai jurisdiction familiarity with disciplined deadline tracking. Whether you run a shop, a service practice or a growing trading concern, we handle the portal work so you can stay focused on the business itself.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
OTP failures, DSC errors, stuck submissions on due-date evenings — we deal with the GST portal daily and know the workarounds. When the site misbehaves on the 20th, our team keeps retrying and escalating so your return still goes through.
Every acknowledgement, challan, computation sheet and filed return is saved and shared with you in an organised folder. When a bank, buyer or GST officer asks for a document from two years ago, it reaches you the same day without any scrambling.
New GSTIN applications, core field amendments through REG-14, additional places of business — we prepare complete, query-resistant applications the first time. Clean paperwork is the difference between smooth approval and weeks lost answering clarification memos from the department.
Goods sent to job workers must move on delivery challans, return within the statutory period, and be reported in ITC-04. We track every outward and return leg for manufacturing clients in Mylapore, so inputs sent out for processing never quietly convert into a deemed supply carrying tax and interest.
Businesses with registrations in more than one State, or multiple branches under one PAN, face cross-charge, stock transfer and input service distribution questions that single-GSTIN firms never see. We keep all your registrations consistent with each other, not just compliant individually.
Your sales figures, supplier lists and login credentials are handled only by our engaged team, stored securely and never shared with any third party. Many of our clients in Mylapore compete with each other; complete confidentiality is a condition of our work.
You share PAN, Aadhaar, photographs, address proof and bank details over WhatsApp or email. We review each document against portal requirements and flag anything that could trigger an officer query.
We draft Form GST REG-01 with the correct business constitution, principal place of business, HSN or SAC codes and authorised signatory details, then share a summary for your confirmation.
The application is filed on the GST portal and we guide the authorised signatory through Aadhaar OTP authentication, which speeds up approval and usually avoids physical verification of premises.
We track the ARN daily. If the officer issues a notice in Form REG-03 seeking clarification, we draft and file the reply in Form REG-04 within the permitted time.
Once approved, we download your registration certificate in Form REG-06, help set up portal login credentials, and brief you on invoice format, return due dates and e-way bill obligations.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: 3-7 working days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Excess balances parked in the electronic cash ledger are identified during regular ledger reviews and either utilised against upcoming liability or claimed back as a refund, instead of sitting interest-free with the government.
A fixed professional fee is almost always cheaper than the combination of late fees, interest, lost credit and staff hours that informal, last-minute compliance quietly accumulates over a year.
With the LUT filed at the start of each financial year and refund claims tracked to credit, exporters supply without blocking funds in IGST and recover accumulated credit on schedule.
Consistent, reconciled returns give the department's matching systems nothing to flag. Clients who move to us after years of self-filing typically see scrutiny queries and mismatch notices fall away within a few filing cycles.
Sales returns, discounts and price revisions are adjusted through properly reported credit notes within the statutory window, so you never keep paying tax on turnover you have already reversed.
When a business winds up, proper cancellation and a timely final return ensure the file is genuinely closed, so no demand or late-fee computation resurfaces against you long after the shutters came down.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Record keeping | Every return, challan, acknowledgement and working paper archived in an organised folder, retrievable in minutes years later. | Documents scattered across email, downloads and old phones; assembling records for a bank or an audit takes days. |
| Refund claims | RFD-01 filed with complete statements and annexures, tracked from ARN to bank credit, with any deficiency memo answered promptly. | Incomplete claims bounce back as deficiency memos while the refund sits unclaimed for months and working capital stays blocked. |
| Supplier defaults | Suppliers who stop uploading invoices are identified within the period and pursued before their default becomes your blocked credit. | Missing supplier invoices surface only when credit is denied, by which time recovering the amount from the vendor is difficult. |
| Time cost | Roughly an hour a month to send data and approve drafts; the portal work, reconciliation and follow-up are ours. | Hours every month lost to portal errors, JSON files, OTP failures and reworking figures — usually on the due date itself. |
| Input tax credit | Purchase register matched against GSTR-2B each period, with defaulting suppliers chased so eligible credit is actually captured. | Credit claimed from books alone; mismatches with GSTR-2B mean lost credit or excess claims that invite departmental queries. |
| Risk of notices | GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-2B reconciled before filing, removing the mismatches that trigger most scrutiny notices. | Inconsistent figures across returns quietly build a mismatch history that surfaces later as ASMT-10 scrutiny or a demand notice. |
St. Mary's Road is a secondary arterial road in Mylapore, about 800 m south-west of the centre of Mylapore. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — Devanathan Street (about 200 m); Warren Road (about 300 m); Alamelumangapuram (about 400 m); R.K. Mutt Road (about 400 m) — so a site visit on St. Mary's Road can usually be combined with other work in Mylapore on the same trip. For GST purposes an address on St. Mary's Road falls under the Chennai North CGST Commissionerate, and the Mylapore pincode is 600004.
Road classification and position from OpenStreetMap; distances are straight-line and approximate. Jurisdiction must be confirmed on your own registration certificate.
A working knowledge of recent instruments and judgments is what separates a defensible filing from a risky one.
CBIC Instruction No. 03/2025-GST · 2025-04-17
Responding to widespread complaints about arbitrary queries, CBIC directed registration officers to seek only the documents listed in Form GST REG-01. For rented premises a valid rent agreement with the owner's ownership proof suffices; for owned premises any one ownership document is enough; no-objection certificates suffice for consent premises. Officers must not demand physical originals, question the applicant's residential address or business activity, or raise presumptive queries, and any query must be specific and approved by the Deputy or Assistant Commissioner.
How we apply it: If a registration query asks for documents outside the prescribed list, cite this instruction in your REG-04 reply and escalate to the jurisdictional Commissioner if it persists.
29th GST Council Meeting, New Delhi — 4 August 2018 (Signed Minutes, Agenda Item 3) · 2018-08-04
The Council approved a scheme to incentivise digital payment under GST. Concessions were to be given on B2C transactions paid through RuPay debit card, UPI, BHIM, USSD or BHIM-Aadhaar, by way of an automated refund to the consumer's account of twenty per cent of the total GST paid, subject to a ceiling of Rs 100 per transaction shared equally between CGST and SGST. The purchaser would be informed by SMS. The scheme was to run on a pilot basis in Assam, Tamil Nadu and any other volunteering State.
How we apply it: Tamil Nadu was one of only two States selected for this pilot, though the scheme was never rolled out in practice.
Notification No. 9/2025-Central Tax (Rate), dated 17 September 2025, Schedule I, Chapters 33 and 34 · 2025-09-17
Hair oil and shampoo, toilet soap in the form of bars and cakes other than industrial soap, toothpaste, tooth powder and dental floss were moved into Schedule I at five per cent from 22 September 2025, down from eighteen per cent. Other soaps and organic surface-active preparations, and dentifrices other than the listed items, remain in Schedule II at eighteen per cent, so the concession is confined to the everyday personal care items the Council named.
What it means for you: FMCG distributors must apply five per cent only to the named items and keep the balance of the toiletries range at eighteen per cent, since the split within one chapter is easy to get wrong.
