Urapakkam is a fast-growing apartment corridor on GST Road between Vandalur and Guduvancheri, where builders, ready-mix concrete and building-material suppliers, supermarkets and clinics serve thousands of new households around the railway station. Builders here must apply the 1 per cent affordable and 5 per cent other residential rates without input tax credit, and account for reverse charge when cement is purchased from unregistered suppliers. We have supported businesses of exactly this profile with GST Notice Reply across Urapakkam for years, along with clients from Vandalur and Guduvancheri. The engagement is simple: one point of contact, a clear fee, documents over WhatsApp or in person at our Chennai office, and senior review before anything is submitted on the portal. What you get in return is clean filings, archived records and far fewer reasons for the department to write to you.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
A new GSTIN comes with obligations nobody explains at approval — the invoice series rules, displaying the registration certificate and GSTIN at your premises, and the first return cycle. We walk new registrants in Urapakkam through each of these so month one starts correctly.
Most GST notices trace back to mismatches between GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-2B. We reconcile these before filing, not after a notice arrives, so your returns are internally consistent and the most common triggers for ASMT-10 scrutiny simply never appear.
GST is confusing enough without a language barrier. Our team explains notices, tax positions and filing requirements in plain Tamil or English, whichever you and your staff in Urapakkam are comfortable with, and keeps written communication simple and jargon-free.
You are told the full fee before we begin, in writing. No surprise additions for uploads, revisions or acknowledgements. Government fees and taxes, where applicable, are shown separately, so businesses in Urapakkam always know exactly what the engagement costs them.
The annual return and, where turnover crosses Rs.5 crore, the self-certified reconciliation statement in GSTR-9C are prepared by the same team that filed your monthly returns. Nothing about your year has to be rediscovered or explained to a stranger in December.
GSTR-1 by the 11th, GSTR-3B by the 20th, CMP-08 by the 18th after each quarter — we maintain a compliance calendar for every client and start chasing your data well before the due date, so late fees never enter the picture.
We read the notice line by line, identify the section invoked, the periods covered, the exact information sought and the deadline for response.
The figures alleged in the notice are reconciled against your filed returns, GSTR-2B and books, so the reply is grounded in verifiable numbers rather than assertions.
We draft a professional, point-wise reply addressing every allegation, attaching reconciliations, invoices and legal support, and share the draft with you for approval.
The approved reply is filed on the portal within the deadline. Where a small genuine liability exists, we advise payment through DRC-03 to limit interest and penalty.
We monitor the portal for the officer's response, attend to any further queries or hearing dates, and pursue the matter until a closure or order is received.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: Draft reply in 3-5 working days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Getting IGST versus CGST and SGST right at the invoice stage spares you the painful cycle of paying the correct head again and pursuing a refund of the amount paid under the wrong one.
Your billing staff are guided on invoice fields, rates and series discipline, so mistakes are prevented where they originate — at the counter — instead of being repaired later in the returns.
Large buyers check vendor GST compliance before releasing payments and renewing contracts. A clean filing record with timely GSTR-1 uploads keeps your invoices reflecting in their GSTR-2B and your payments unblocked.
Filed returns, challans, reconciliations and working papers are archived in order from day one. If an audit or departmental verification comes, your file is ready the same week, not assembled in a panic.
Consistent, reconciled returns give the department's matching systems nothing to flag. Clients who move to us after years of self-filing typically see scrutiny queries and mismatch notices fall away within a few filing cycles.
Your scheme choice — regular, composition or QRMP — is re-examined as turnover and margins change, so you are always paying under the structure that legitimately costs your business the least.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| When a notice arrives | A professional drafts the reply in the department's format and files it within the statutory window, such as thirty days for ASMT-11. | You face departmental language alone, and a missed reply deadline can convert a simple query into a demand with penalty. |
| Annual return preparation | Monthly reconciliations roll naturally into GSTR-9, filed comfortably before 31 December with figures already agreed through the year. | Twelve months of unmatched data reconstructed in December, with differences discovered too late to be corrected cleanly. |
| Portal credentials and data | Logins handled by a small engaged team under strict confidentiality, with credentials stored securely and never passed onward. | Passwords circulating on chats with freelancers and part-timers, and no accountability for who has accessed your business data. |
| Keeping up with changes | Rate changes, portal updates and new thresholds such as the Rs.5 crore e-invoice limit are tracked by us and applied to your case proactively. | Changes are discovered after the fact — often through a rejected filing, a blocked e-way bill or a departmental letter. |
| Registration and amendments | Query-resistant applications prepared correctly the first time, with supporting documents matched to what proper officers actually verify. | Repeated clarification memos and resubmissions, with weeks lost because a rent agreement or premises photograph did not meet expectations. |
| Time cost | Roughly an hour a month to send data and approve drafts; the portal work, reconciliation and follow-up are ours. | Hours every month lost to portal errors, JSON files, OTP failures and reworking figures — usually on the due date itself. |
Eswaran Temple Street is a residential street in Urapakkam, about 800 m south-east of the centre of Urapakkam. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — Sokkathamman Temple Cross Street (about 50 m); Eswaran Temple 1st Cross Street (about 50 m); Sokkalathamman Temple Street (about 100 m); Ramalingam Nagar Krishna Street (about 150 m) — so a site visit on Eswaran Temple Street can usually be combined with other work in Urapakkam on the same trip. For GST purposes an address on Eswaran Temple Street falls under the Chennai Outer CGST Commissionerate, and the Urapakkam pincode is 603210.

Sections 107(6) and 112(8), CGST Act, 2017, as amended by the Finance (No. 2) Act, 2024, effective 1 November 2024 vide Notification No. 17/2024-Central Tax · 2024-11-01
The maximum pre-deposit for a first appeal under Section 107 was reduced from Rs 25 crore to Rs 20 crore each of CGST and SGST, the rate remaining ten per cent of the disputed tax. For appeals to the GST Appellate Tribunal, the pre-deposit was reduced from twenty per cent to ten per cent of the disputed tax, subject to a ceiling of Rs 20 crore each of CGST and SGST, in addition to the amount already deposited at the first appellate stage.
What it means for you: A second appeal to the Tribunal now costs ten per cent rather than twenty per cent of the disputed tax, making it far more affordable to carry a bad order forward.
35th GST Council Meeting, New Delhi — 21 June 2019 · 2019-06-21
At the first meeting chaired by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, the Council decided to introduce an electronic invoicing system in a phase-wise manner for business-to-business transactions. The press release recorded that e-invoicing would help taxpayers with backward integration and automation of tax-relevant processes and would help authorities combat evasion, with Phase 1 proposed to be voluntary and rolled out from January 2020. This decision is the origin of the Invoice Registration Portal, the IRN and the QR code now mandatory for most mid-sized and large businesses.
How we apply it: Every later e-invoicing threshold reduction, down to the Rs 5 crore limit now applicable, traces back to this decision, so businesses crossing a threshold must set up e-invoicing from the first day of the next financial year.
Mahadeo Construction Co. v. Union of India — Jharkhand High Court, W.P.(T) No. 3517 of 2019, judgment dated 21 April 2020, reported at [2020] 116 taxmann.com 262 (Jharkhand) · 2020-04-21
The department issued recovery notices for interest under Section 50 without any adjudication, treating the interest as automatically payable. The High Court held that although interest liability under Section 50 is automatic in principle, its computation and quantum are not. Where the taxpayer disputes the liability, the department must first initiate adjudication proceedings under Section 73 or 74 and pass an order before resorting to recovery under Section 79.
What it means for you: A bare recovery letter for interest, without a show cause notice and order, can be challenged if you genuinely dispute the amount.

Upload the PDF to our free GST Notice Analyser. It identifies which of 34 notice types you have, pulls out the DIN, GSTIN and tax period, reads the reply date printed on the notice and tells you plainly whether that date has already passed — along with the documents and reconciliations you will need. No payment, no account. If the notice does not state a date we can read, it says so rather than guessing one for you.
