Abhiramapuram, between C.P. Ramaswamy Road and St. Mary's Road near Luz Corner, blends heritage homes with designer boutiques, silk and handloom stores, chartered accountant and law offices and speciality clinics around Sringeri Mutt Road and the numbered Abhiramapuram streets. Boutique retailers here weigh composition against regular filing, while professionals and landlords handle 18 per cent GST on fees and commercial rents. When businesses of this kind evaluate GST Refund RFD-01, the real question is not price alone but who answers when something goes wrong. We serve Abhiramapuram, Alwarpet and Mylapore on a standing commitment: responses within the same working day, senior scrutiny before every submission, and continued support if the department ever writes back on work carrying our preparation.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
GSTR-3B late fees run at Rs.50 per day and interest at 18 percent per annum on unpaid tax. Our internal cut-offs sit days ahead of statutory due dates precisely so that our clients never hand the department a rupee they did not owe.
We tell you when the composition scheme stops making sense, when QRMP suits your cash flow, and when a supplier's non-compliance is quietly costing you credit. Filing is the minimum; helping you make better GST decisions is the actual job.
You are told the full fee before we begin, in writing. No surprise additions for uploads, revisions or acknowledgements. Government fees and taxes, where applicable, are shown separately, so businesses in Abhiramapuram always know exactly what the engagement costs them.
E-invoicing is mandatory once turnover crosses Rs.5 crore and e-way bills apply to goods movements above Rs.50,000. We set up, train and troubleshoot both systems, so your despatches from Abhiramapuram are never held up by a compliance gap at the gate.
We work with Chennai GST ranges and circles every week, including the jurisdiction covering Abhiramapuram. We know how local proper officers examine registrations, what supporting documents they routinely call for, and how to present a file so it moves without repeated queries.
Send your query on call or WhatsApp and you hear back the same working day, usually within a few hours. When a due date is close or a notice has landed, waiting two days for a reply is simply not acceptable, and we know it.
We identify the correct refund category, confirm the two-year limitation from the relevant date, and compute the admissible amount using the formula prescribed under the rules.
Invoices, shipping bills, FIRCs, the LUT and ledger extracts are compiled into the prescribed statements, and gaps that commonly cause deficiency memos are fixed upfront.
The refund application is filed on the portal with all annexures and declarations, and the acknowledgement in RFD-02 is tracked within the statutory fifteen days.
We respond to any deficiency memo in RFD-03 or show cause notice in RFD-08, appear through written submissions, and pursue provisional refund where the category permits.
We track the sanction order in RFD-06 and payment advice in RFD-05, confirm the credit in your validated bank account, and archive the complete claim file.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: Application filed in 3-5 working days; sanction typically within 60 days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Because monthly data is reconciled as it happens, GSTR-9 preparation before the 31 December due date becomes a review exercise rather than a painful reconstruction of twelve untidy months.
When a query or verification comes, you respond through a professional who deals with the department regularly, in the department's own language and format, instead of facing an officer's letter alone.
The 11th and the 20th stop being days of dread. You approve a prepared draft, we file, and the acknowledgement lands on your WhatsApp — month after month, without drama.
Advances received for services attract GST on receipt while advances for goods generally do not; applying this distinction correctly means you neither prepay tax unnecessarily nor omit a liability that surfaces later with interest.
Excess balances parked in the electronic cash ledger are identified during regular ledger reviews and either utilised against upcoming liability or claimed back as a refund, instead of sitting interest-free with the government.
The hours you or your accountant spent wrestling with the portal, JSON errors and reconciliations every month return to sales, operations and customers, while trained hands manage the compliance in the background.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Time cost | Roughly an hour a month to send data and approve drafts; the portal work, reconciliation and follow-up are ours. | Hours every month lost to portal errors, JSON files, OTP failures and reworking figures — usually on the due date itself. |
| Goods in transit | E-way bills generated correctly and matched to invoices, so consignments pass roadside inspections without detention or penalty. | A defective or missing e-way bill can mean detention at a checkpoint, with penalties that dwarf the tax on the consignment. |
| Risk of notices | GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-2B reconciled before filing, removing the mismatches that trigger most scrutiny notices. | Inconsistent figures across returns quietly build a mismatch history that surfaces later as ASMT-10 scrutiny or a demand notice. |
| Late fees and interest | Filings go in ahead of statutory dates, so the Rs.50-per-day late fee and 18 percent interest never arise. | Late fees accumulate silently every delayed day, and interest on unpaid tax runs at 18 percent per annum. |
| Keeping up with changes | Rate changes, portal updates and new thresholds such as the Rs.5 crore e-invoice limit are tracked by us and applied to your case proactively. | Changes are discovered after the fact — often through a rejected filing, a blocked e-way bill or a departmental letter. |
| Annual return preparation | Monthly reconciliations roll naturally into GSTR-9, filed comfortably before 31 December with figures already agreed through the year. | Twelve months of unmatched data reconstructed in December, with differences discovered too late to be corrected cleanly. |
Natesan Colony is a main connecting road in Abhiramapuram, about 500 m north of the centre of Abhiramapuram. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — Bheemana Mudali 1st Street (about 50 m); Bakthavachalam Road (about 150 m); d'Silva Road (about 150 m); Anandapuram (about 150 m) — so a site visit on Natesan Colony can usually be combined with other work in Abhiramapuram on the same trip. For GST purposes an address on Natesan Colony falls under the Chennai North CGST Commissionerate, and the Abhiramapuram pincode is 600018.
Road classification and position from OpenStreetMap; distances are straight-line and approximate. Jurisdiction must be confirmed on your own registration certificate.
A working knowledge of recent instruments and judgments is what separates a defensible filing from a risky one.
36th GST Council Meeting (video conferencing) — 27 July 2019 · 2019-07-27
The Council reduced GST on all electric vehicles from 12 per cent to 5 per cent and on chargers or charging stations for electric vehicles from 18 per cent to 5 per cent. Hiring of electric buses with carrying capacity of more than twelve passengers by local authorities was exempted. All these changes took effect from 1 August 2019. The Council also extended the last date for opting into the six per cent service composition scheme in CMP-02 to 30 September 2019.
Practical effect: Electric vehicle dealers and charging point operators in Chennai bill at five per cent, a rate that has survived every later rate revision including GST 2.0.
Circular No. 127/46/2019-GST dated 4 December 2019 · 2019-12-04
Circular No. 107/26/2019-GST of 18 July 2019 had sought to classify certain information technology enabled services, and in particular back-office support supplied to overseas clients, in a way that could treat the Indian supplier as an intermediary and deny export status. After representations from the industry, CBIC withdrew that circular ab initio, so it is treated as never having been issued.
How we apply it: Chennai back-office and BPO units should ensure no notice relies on the withdrawn ITeS circular; the governing guidance is now Circular 159/15/2021 on intermediaries.
Saro Enterprises - AAR Tamil Nadu (2018), upheld by AAAR Tamil Nadu, order dated 6 February 2019 · 2018
The applicant made polypropylene and recycled plastic trays used by farmers to raise paddy and vegetable seedlings, and argued that they were agricultural implements. The Authority held that the trays are other articles of plastic under heading 3926 90 99 and are taxable at 9 percent central tax and 9 percent State tax. Use in agriculture does not by itself bring a product within the exempt agricultural implements entry, and the material and the tariff description prevail over the end use.
What it means for you: Chennai suppliers to the farm sector cannot assume exemption merely because the buyer uses the product in agriculture.
