Whether you are a first-time registrant or an established trader, GST Notice Reply in Ekkattuthangal deserves a specialist rather than a side job. From Rs.2,999, our GST-focused Chennai practice runs the entire process on written checklists and senior-reviewed submissions.
We serve businesses on and around Balaji Nagar 3rd Cross Street — document pickup, in-person consultation at our Porur office, or fully online over WhatsApp.
Share your number — a senior GST consultant calls you back within 30 minutes.
Ekkattuthangal, beside the Kathipara interchange, blends the SIDCO Industrial Estate's south phase with IT towers such as Olympia Technology Park and a strip of printing, packaging and engineering units off the Inner Ring Road. Units sending components out for plating or machining must move them on delivery challans and report the flows in ITC-04, a step many discover only when a departmental audit asks for job-work records. For businesses here, staying on the right side of GST is not optional — buyers check compliance, and the department's systems match every return. Our firm provides GST Notice Reply to clients across Ekkattuthangal and neighbouring Guindy and Jafferkhanpet, combining Chennai jurisdiction familiarity with disciplined deadline tracking. Whether you run a shop, a service practice or a growing trading concern, we handle the portal work so you can stay focused on the business itself.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
OTP failures, DSC errors, stuck submissions on due-date evenings — we deal with the GST portal daily and know the workarounds. When the site misbehaves on the 20th, our team keeps retrying and escalating so your return still goes through.
GSTR-1 by the 11th, GSTR-3B by the 20th, CMP-08 by the 18th after each quarter — we maintain a compliance calendar for every client and start chasing your data well before the due date, so late fees never enter the picture.
Winding up attracts its own GST obligations — the cancellation application, reversal of credit on closing stock, and the final return in GSTR-10 within three months. We close registrations properly so a business you shut in Ekkattuthangal never writes back to you as a demand years later.
Most GST notices trace back to mismatches between GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-2B. We reconcile these before filing, not after a notice arrives, so your returns are internally consistent and the most common triggers for ASMT-10 scrutiny simply never appear.
We work with Chennai GST ranges and circles every week, including the jurisdiction covering Ekkattuthangal. We know how local proper officers examine registrations, what supporting documents they routinely call for, and how to present a file so it moves without repeated queries.
Freight paid to transporters, advocate fees, imported services and other notified supplies attract GST under reverse charge, with self-invoicing where the supplier is unregistered. We maintain a running RCM check every period, because this is the liability self-filers most consistently miss.
We read the notice line by line, identify the section invoked, the periods covered, the exact information sought and the deadline for response.
The figures alleged in the notice are reconciled against your filed returns, GSTR-2B and books, so the reply is grounded in verifiable numbers rather than assertions.
We draft a professional, point-wise reply addressing every allegation, attaching reconciliations, invoices and legal support, and share the draft with you for approval.
The approved reply is filed on the portal within the deadline. Where a small genuine liability exists, we advise payment through DRC-03 to limit interest and penalty.
We monitor the portal for the officer's response, attend to any further queries or hearing dates, and pursue the matter until a closure or order is received.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: Draft reply in 3-5 working days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
When a query or verification comes, you respond through a professional who deals with the department regularly, in the department's own language and format, instead of facing an officer's letter alone.
Sales returns, discounts and price revisions are adjusted through properly reported credit notes within the statutory window, so you never keep paying tax on turnover you have already reversed.
Complete RFD-01 applications with proper statements and annexures move through the system faster and attract fewer deficiency memos, which means export and inverted-duty refunds reach your bank account sooner.
Systematic GSTR-2B matching and supplier follow-up mean input tax credit that was leaking away under self-filing is captured each month, directly reducing the cash you pay out with every GSTR-3B.
Consistent, reconciled returns give the department's matching systems nothing to flag. Clients who move to us after years of self-filing typically see scrutiny queries and mismatch notices fall away within a few filing cycles.
The hours you or your accountant spent wrestling with the portal, JSON errors and reconciliations every month return to sales, operations and customers, while trained hands manage the compliance in the background.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Portal credentials and data | Logins handled by a small engaged team under strict confidentiality, with credentials stored securely and never passed onward. | Passwords circulating on chats with freelancers and part-timers, and no accountability for who has accessed your business data. |
| Annual return preparation | Monthly reconciliations roll naturally into GSTR-9, filed comfortably before 31 December with figures already agreed through the year. | Twelve months of unmatched data reconstructed in December, with differences discovered too late to be corrected cleanly. |
| Supplier defaults | Suppliers who stop uploading invoices are identified within the period and pursued before their default becomes your blocked credit. | Missing supplier invoices surface only when credit is denied, by which time recovering the amount from the vendor is difficult. |
| Goods in transit | E-way bills generated correctly and matched to invoices, so consignments pass roadside inspections without detention or penalty. | A defective or missing e-way bill can mean detention at a checkpoint, with penalties that dwarf the tax on the consignment. |
| Refund claims | RFD-01 filed with complete statements and annexures, tracked from ARN to bank credit, with any deficiency memo answered promptly. | Incomplete claims bounce back as deficiency memos while the refund sits unclaimed for months and working capital stays blocked. |
| Keeping up with changes | Rate changes, portal updates and new thresholds such as the Rs.5 crore e-invoice limit are tracked by us and applied to your case proactively. | Changes are discovered after the fact — often through a rejected filing, a blocked e-way bill or a departmental letter. |

Notification No. 16/2021-Central Tax · 2021-06-01
This notification brought into force Section 112 of the Finance Act, 2021, which substituted the proviso to Section 50(1) of the CGST Act with retrospective effect from 1 July 2017. The result is that interest on late payment of tax through a delayed GSTR-3B is chargeable only on the portion discharged in cash, for all periods from the inception of GST, and not merely from September 2020. This ended the large body of litigation over gross-liability interest demands.
Why this matters: Every interest demand computed on gross liability for any period since July 2017 is unsustainable, and this is one of the most useful notifications to cite in a Chennai interest dispute.
M/s. KPN Travels India Ltd v. Director General of GST Intelligence — Madras High Court, W.P. Nos. 6055, 6061, 6063, 6065 and 6067 of 2022, decided 20 April 2022 (R. Suresh Kumar J.) · 2022-04-20
Five bank accounts were provisionally attached under Section 83 by an order that simply recited that attachment was necessary 'in order to protect the interest of the Revenue'. The Court set the attachment aside, holding that the power under Section 83 is draconian and can be exercised only on a formation of opinion based on tangible material, recorded in a reasoned order. A single-line justification does not meet that standard. Liberty was given to the department to re-attach on proper material.
How we apply it: If a Chennai firm's bank account is frozen under Section 83, obtain a copy of the attachment order at once — an order with no recorded reasons or tangible material is liable to be quashed.
Bajaj Finance Ltd — AAAR Maharashtra, orders dated 14 March 2019; see CBIC Circular No. 102/21/2019-GST dated 28 June 2019 and Circular No. 245/02/2025-GST dated 28 January 2025 · 2019-03-14
The Maharashtra appellate authority held that penal interest and cheque bounce charges collected by a finance company from borrowers who delayed instalments are consideration for tolerating an act and are liable to GST at 18 per cent. CBIC then clarified that additional interest charged for delayed payment under the loan agreement itself is part of exempt interest, while charges levied under a separate agreement are taxable, and a further 2025 circular clarified that penal charges levied by banks and non-banking finance companies for breach of loan terms are not taxable.
Practical effect: If you collect late payment penalties from customers, check whether the charge sits inside the main contract before deciding to levy GST on it.

Upload the PDF to our free GST Notice Analyser. It identifies which of 34 notice types you have, pulls out the DIN, GSTIN and tax period, reads the reply date printed on the notice and tells you plainly whether that date has already passed — along with the documents and reconciliations you will need. No payment, no account. If the notice does not state a date we can read, it says so rather than guessing one for you.
