Whether you are a first-time registrant or an established trader, GST Refund RFD-01 in Ekkattuthangal deserves a specialist rather than a side job. From Rs.4,999, our GST-focused Chennai practice runs the entire process on written checklists and senior-reviewed submissions.
We serve businesses on and around 2nd Street — document pickup, in-person consultation at our Porur office, or fully online over WhatsApp.
Share your number — a senior GST consultant calls you back within 30 minutes.
Finding dependable GST Refund RFD-01 in Ekkattuthangal usually means choosing between a distant online portal and an overloaded local accountant. Ekkattuthangal, beside the Kathipara interchange, blends the SIDCO Industrial Estate's south phase with IT towers such as Olympia Technology Park and a strip of printing, packaging and engineering units off the Inner Ring Road. Units sending components out for plating or machining must move them on delivery challans and report the flows in ITC-04, a step many discover only when a departmental audit asks for job-work records. We offer a third option: a professional Chennai GST practice that treats Ekkattuthangal, Guindy and Jafferkhanpet as home ground, responds the same working day, files ahead of deadlines, and stands behind its work if a notice ever arrives on a return we prepared.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
The annual return and, where turnover crosses Rs.5 crore, the self-certified reconciliation statement in GSTR-9C are prepared by the same team that filed your monthly returns. Nothing about your year has to be rediscovered or explained to a stranger in December.
Businesses with registrations in more than one State, or multiple branches under one PAN, face cross-charge, stock transfer and input service distribution questions that single-GSTIN firms never see. We keep all your registrations consistent with each other, not just compliant individually.
Every new client receives a review of their recent returns before we file anything — unclaimed credit, GSTR-1 versus GSTR-3B drift, and exposures worth correcting quietly. Businesses in Ekkattuthangal often discover in this first review exactly why their previous arrangement was costing them money.
New GSTIN applications, core field amendments through REG-14, additional places of business — we prepare complete, query-resistant applications the first time. Clean paperwork is the difference between smooth approval and weeks lost answering clarification memos from the department.
GST is confusing enough without a language barrier. Our team explains notices, tax positions and filing requirements in plain Tamil or English, whichever you and your staff in Ekkattuthangal are comfortable with, and keeps written communication simple and jargon-free.
OTP failures, DSC errors, stuck submissions on due-date evenings — we deal with the GST portal daily and know the workarounds. When the site misbehaves on the 20th, our team keeps retrying and escalating so your return still goes through.
We identify the correct refund category, confirm the two-year limitation from the relevant date, and compute the admissible amount using the formula prescribed under the rules.
Invoices, shipping bills, FIRCs, the LUT and ledger extracts are compiled into the prescribed statements, and gaps that commonly cause deficiency memos are fixed upfront.
The refund application is filed on the portal with all annexures and declarations, and the acknowledgement in RFD-02 is tracked within the statutory fifteen days.
We respond to any deficiency memo in RFD-03 or show cause notice in RFD-08, appear through written submissions, and pursue provisional refund where the category permits.
We track the sanction order in RFD-06 and payment advice in RFD-05, confirm the credit in your validated bank account, and archive the complete claim file.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: Application filed in 3-5 working days; sanction typically within 60 days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Large buyers check vendor GST compliance before releasing payments and renewing contracts. A clean filing record with timely GSTR-1 uploads keeps your invoices reflecting in their GSTR-2B and your payments unblocked.
The hours you or your accountant spent wrestling with the portal, JSON errors and reconciliations every month return to sales, operations and customers, while trained hands manage the compliance in the background.
When GST knowledge lives inside a single staff member, their resignation becomes a compliance crisis. With our firm as the standing process, your filings continue uninterrupted regardless of internal staff changes.
Whether moving between composition and regular scheme, opting into QRMP, or crossing the e-invoice threshold at Rs.5 crore, transitions are planned in advance rather than discovered after a compliance breach.
Funding rounds, partnerships and business sales all begin with a compliance check. A clean, documented GST history lets you clear that scrutiny quickly instead of watching a deal stall over old filing gaps.
Each period you receive a simple computation showing output tax, credit utilised and net cash payable, so GST becomes a number you understand and question rather than a figure you accept blindly.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Late fees and interest | Filings go in ahead of statutory dates, so the Rs.50-per-day late fee and 18 percent interest never arise. | Late fees accumulate silently every delayed day, and interest on unpaid tax runs at 18 percent per annum. |
| When a notice arrives | A professional drafts the reply in the department's format and files it within the statutory window, such as thirty days for ASMT-11. | You face departmental language alone, and a missed reply deadline can convert a simple query into a demand with penalty. |
| Risk of notices | GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-2B reconciled before filing, removing the mismatches that trigger most scrutiny notices. | Inconsistent figures across returns quietly build a mismatch history that surfaces later as ASMT-10 scrutiny or a demand notice. |
| Record keeping | Every return, challan, acknowledgement and working paper archived in an organised folder, retrievable in minutes years later. | Documents scattered across email, downloads and old phones; assembling records for a bank or an audit takes days. |
| Keeping up with changes | Rate changes, portal updates and new thresholds such as the Rs.5 crore e-invoice limit are tracked by us and applied to your case proactively. | Changes are discovered after the fact — often through a rejected filing, a blocked e-way bill or a departmental letter. |
| Supplier defaults | Suppliers who stop uploading invoices are identified within the period and pursued before their default becomes your blocked credit. | Missing supplier invoices surface only when credit is denied, by which time recovering the amount from the vendor is difficult. |
2nd Street is a residential street in Ekkattuthangal, about 300 m west of the centre of Ekkattuthangal. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — Poonamalle Road (about 50 m); 3rd Street (about 100 m); Vandi Pathai Street (about 150 m); Gandhi Nagar Main (about 200 m) — so a site visit on 2nd Street can usually be combined with other work in Ekkattuthangal on the same trip. For GST purposes an address on 2nd Street falls under the Chennai South CGST Commissionerate, and the Ekkattuthangal pincode is 600032.
Road classification and position from OpenStreetMap; distances are straight-line and approximate. Jurisdiction must be confirmed on your own registration certificate.
A working knowledge of recent instruments and judgments is what separates a defensible filing from a risky one.
Notification No. 02/2017-Central Tax dated 19.06.2017 · 2017-06-19
This notification appointed Principal Chief Commissioners, Chief Commissioners, Principal Commissioners and Commissioners of Central Tax and specified the territorial jurisdiction of every Central Tax Commissionerate, Division and Range across India, including the Chennai zone. It is the source document that decides which Central GST office is your proper officer for registration, assessment, scrutiny, audit and recovery, as opposed to the State GST authority.
Why this matters: If you receive a Central GST notice in Chennai, check this notification to confirm the issuing officer actually holds jurisdiction over your address before you reply.
CBIC Frequently Asked Questions on GST on pre-packaged and labelled goods, dated 17 July 2022 · 2022-07-17
A day before the change took effect, the Tax Research Unit issued FAQs explaining that the expression takes its meaning from the Legal Metrology Act, 2009 and covers commodities intended for retail sale in packs of up to twenty-five kilograms or twenty-five litres that must bear statutory declarations. A single package above that limit is not covered, nor are packs supplied to an industrial or institutional consumer. Loose sale from a large pack by a retailer does not attract the levy.
What it means for you: A fifty-kilogram rice bag sold as one package stays outside the levy, but the moment it is repacked into labelled retail bags of twenty-five kilograms or less, five per cent applies.
M/s. Gillette Diversified Operations (P) Ltd v. Joint Commissioner of GST & Central Excise (Appeals-II) — Madras High Court, W.P. Nos. 6524, 6527, 6531, 6537 and 6541 of 2022, decided 5 February 2025 (C. Saravanan J.) · 2025-02-05
Refund claims for unutilised credit on zero-rated exports of July to September 2017 were filed on 21 September, 9 October and 10 October 2018, returned through deficiency memos, and resubmitted later. The appellate authority treated the resubmissions as fresh applications and rejected them as time-barred. The Court allowed three of the five petitions and quashed those orders, holding that the original applications were within two years of the exports and that a resubmission after curing deficiencies cannot start a new limitation period, the 2021 proviso to Rule 90(3) not applying retrospectively.
How we apply it: Chennai exporters whose refund was returned by a deficiency memo should preserve the original ARN and acknowledgement — limitation is counted from that first filing, not the re-filed one.
