GST Refund RFD-01 in ICF Colony does not have to mean portal errors, guesswork and due-date tension. For a fixed fee starting Rs.4,999, an accountable Chennai practice prepares, reconciles, reviews and files — and remains answerable long after the acknowledgement arrives.
We serve businesses on and around Thrope Road — document pickup, in-person consultation at our Porur office, or fully online over WhatsApp.

Businesses in ICF Colony looking for GST Refund RFD-01 want two things: work done correctly and someone answerable when questions come. ICF Colony grew around the Integral Coach Factory, and its economy stays railway facing: precision machine shops, sheet metal fabricators, electrical and painting contractors, uniform tailors and canteen contractors supplying the Shell and Furnishing divisions through Constable Road and Portious Road. Konnur High Road and New Avadi Road add provision stores and hardware, while Welcome Colony and the Officers Colony lanes house staff quarters and rented shops. Vendors here contend with Section 51 TDS deductions, works contract classification and GSTR-2B mismatches on railway purchase orders. We serve this belt — including Villivakkam and Ayanavaram — with fixed fees quoted upfront, a written document checklist, and filings completed ahead of statutory due dates. Every acknowledgement is shared the day it is generated, and our support continues if the department raises any query on work we have filed.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
Your cash ledger, credit ledger and liability register are reviewed regularly, not just at filing time. Excess balances are flagged for use or refund, and where a genuine slip surfaces, a voluntary payment through DRC-03 settles it before it can mature into a notice.
GST is confusing enough without a language barrier. Our team explains notices, tax positions and filing requirements in plain Tamil or English, whichever you and your staff in ICF Colony are comfortable with, and keeps written communication simple and jargon-free.
Traders, manufacturers, contractors, e-commerce sellers, professionals and service exporters — we have handled GST for all of them. Whatever mix of goods and services your ICF Colony business supplies, the rate, classification and place-of-supply questions have almost certainly crossed our desk before.
If a query, ASMT-10 scrutiny notice or DRC-01 arrives on a return we filed, we stand behind our work and help you draft the reply. You are not left alone with a departmental letter and a thirty-day clock ticking against you.
Tally, Zoho Books, Busy, marketplace reports, plain Excel or even a handwritten bill book — we take your data in whatever form your ICF Colony business already maintains it. You are never forced to buy new software or retrain staff just to become our client.
From filing the LUT in RFD-11 at the start of each financial year to preparing RFD-01 refund claims with complete annexures, we know what makes a refund file move. Exporters and inverted-duty businesses come to us specifically for this.
We identify the correct refund category, confirm the two-year limitation from the relevant date, and compute the admissible amount using the formula prescribed under the rules.
Invoices, shipping bills, FIRCs, the LUT and ledger extracts are compiled into the prescribed statements, and gaps that commonly cause deficiency memos are fixed upfront.
The refund application is filed on the portal with all annexures and declarations, and the acknowledgement in RFD-02 is tracked within the statutory fifteen days.
We respond to any deficiency memo in RFD-03 or show cause notice in RFD-08, appear through written submissions, and pursue provisional refund where the category permits.
We track the sanction order in RFD-06 and payment advice in RFD-05, confirm the credit in your validated bank account, and archive the complete claim file.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: Application filed in 3-5 working days; sanction typically within 60 days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Loan applications and government tenders routinely demand GST returns and registration documents. With everything filed and archived properly, you can produce a complete compliance file within hours instead of days.
Getting IGST versus CGST and SGST right at the invoice stage spares you the painful cycle of paying the correct head again and pursuing a refund of the amount paid under the wrong one.
Your scheme choice — regular, composition or QRMP — is re-examined as turnover and margins change, so you are always paying under the structure that legitimately costs your business the least.
A fixed professional fee is almost always cheaper than the combination of late fees, interest, lost credit and staff hours that informal, last-minute compliance quietly accumulates over a year.
New branches, new product lines and interstate sales all carry GST consequences. With standing professional support, you expand knowing registrations, invoicing and returns will keep pace with the business.
The 11th and the 20th stop being days of dread. You approve a prepared draft, we file, and the acknowledgement lands on your WhatsApp — month after month, without drama.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Portal credentials and data | Logins handled by a small engaged team under strict confidentiality, with credentials stored securely and never passed onward. | Passwords circulating on chats with freelancers and part-timers, and no accountability for who has accessed your business data. |
| Goods in transit | E-way bills generated correctly and matched to invoices, so consignments pass roadside inspections without detention or penalty. | A defective or missing e-way bill can mean detention at a checkpoint, with penalties that dwarf the tax on the consignment. |
| Late fees and interest | Filings go in ahead of statutory dates, so the Rs.50-per-day late fee and 18 percent interest never arise. | Late fees accumulate silently every delayed day, and interest on unpaid tax runs at 18 percent per annum. |
| Risk of notices | GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-2B reconciled before filing, removing the mismatches that trigger most scrutiny notices. | Inconsistent figures across returns quietly build a mismatch history that surfaces later as ASMT-10 scrutiny or a demand notice. |
| Input tax credit | Purchase register matched against GSTR-2B each period, with defaulting suppliers chased so eligible credit is actually captured. | Credit claimed from books alone; mismatches with GSTR-2B mean lost credit or excess claims that invite departmental queries. |
| Record keeping | Every return, challan, acknowledgement and working paper archived in an organised folder, retrievable in minutes years later. | Documents scattered across email, downloads and old phones; assembling records for a bank or an audit takes days. |
Thrope Road is a residential street in ICF Colony, about 900 m east of the centre of ICF Colony. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — Officers Colony Road (about 150 m); Thirumalai Raja Main Street (about 300 m); Portious Road (about 300 m); NMK Street (about 550 m) — so a site visit on Thrope Road can usually be combined with other work in ICF Colony on the same trip. For GST purposes an address on Thrope Road falls under the Chennai North CGST Commissionerate, and the ICF Colony pincode is 600038.

M/s. Gillette Diversified Operations (P) Ltd v. Joint Commissioner of GST & Central Excise (Appeals-II) — Madras High Court, W.P. Nos. 6524, 6527, 6531, 6537 and 6541 of 2022, decided 5 February 2025 (C. Saravanan J.) · 2025-02-05
Refund claims for unutilised credit on zero-rated exports of July to September 2017 were filed on 21 September, 9 October and 10 October 2018, returned through deficiency memos, and resubmitted later. The appellate authority treated the resubmissions as fresh applications and rejected them as time-barred. The Court allowed three of the five petitions and quashed those orders, holding that the original applications were within two years of the exports and that a resubmission after curing deficiencies cannot start a new limitation period, the 2021 proviso to Rule 90(3) not applying retrospectively.
Practical effect: Chennai exporters whose refund was returned by a deficiency memo should preserve the original ARN and acknowledgement — limitation is counted from that first filing, not the re-filed one.
Toshniwal Brothers (SR) Pvt Ltd — AAR Karnataka, Advance Ruling No. KAR ADRG 23/2018, dated 19 September 2018 · 2018-09-19
The applicant promoted the products of overseas manufacturers in India and also carried out installation, commissioning and after-sales support for Indian customers, billing the foreign principal in convertible foreign exchange. The Karnataka Authority for Advance Ruling held that this activity facilitates the supply between the foreign principal and the Indian customer, making the applicant an intermediary. The place of supply is therefore in India and the receipts do not qualify as export of service.
Practical effect: Chennai firms invoicing foreign principals for marketing or support work should test the intermediary risk before treating the receipts as zero-rated exports.
CBIC Frequently Asked Questions on GST on pre-packaged and labelled goods, dated 17 July 2022 · 2022-07-17
A day before the change took effect, the Tax Research Unit issued FAQs explaining that the expression takes its meaning from the Legal Metrology Act, 2009 and covers commodities intended for retail sale in packs of up to twenty-five kilograms or twenty-five litres that must bear statutory declarations. A single package above that limit is not covered, nor are packs supplied to an industrial or institutional consumer. Loose sale from a large pack by a retailer does not attract the levy.
Practical effect: A fifty-kilogram rice bag sold as one package stays outside the levy, but the moment it is repacked into labelled retail bags of twenty-five kilograms or less, five per cent applies.
