We serve businesses on and around 7th Street teacher colony — document pickup, in-person consultation at our Porur office, or fully online over WhatsApp.
Share your number — a senior GST consultant calls you back within 30 minutes.
Kodungaiyur spreads north from Erukkancheri High Road across the MMDA blocks, Muthamizh Nagar, Ezhil Nagar and Kaviarasu Kannadasan Nagar, with plastic and paper recycling units clustered around the Kodungaiyur dumping ground, small engineering workshops, hardware dealers and provision stores along Kodungaiyur Main Road and the Milk Colony approach. Scrap bought from unregistered vendors, reverse charge liability and e-way bills on waste consignments trigger most notices. For businesses here, staying on the right side of GST is not optional — buyers check compliance, and the department's systems match every return. Our firm provides New GST Registration to clients across Kodungaiyur and neighbouring Erukkanchery and Moolakadai, combining Chennai jurisdiction familiarity with disciplined deadline tracking. Whether you run a shop, a service practice or a growing trading concern, we handle the portal work so you can stay focused on the business itself.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
When an ADT-01 audit intimation or a personal hearing date arrives, we compile the records, prepare the reconciliations and draft the submissions, and coordinate closely with your authorised representative. You walk into the proceeding prepared, not improvising in front of an officer.
If your GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B start drifting apart, if a large supplier stops filing, or if your turnover approaches the e-invoice threshold, we flag it to you immediately. Early warnings from our side are cheaper than departmental letters later.
You deal with one accountable person who knows your business, your turnover pattern and your filing history. No repeating your story to a new voice every month, and no file falling between two desks when a deadline is approaching.
GST is confusing enough without a language barrier. Our team explains notices, tax positions and filing requirements in plain Tamil or English, whichever you and your staff in Kodungaiyur are comfortable with, and keeps written communication simple and jargon-free.
We match your purchase register against GSTR-2B every period, follow up on invoices your suppliers have not uploaded, and ensure every rupee of eligible input tax credit is claimed. Clients routinely recover credit they were silently losing under self-filing.
OTP failures, DSC errors, stuck submissions on due-date evenings — we deal with the GST portal daily and know the workarounds. When the site misbehaves on the 20th, our team keeps retrying and escalating so your return still goes through.
You share PAN, Aadhaar, photographs, address proof and bank details over WhatsApp or email. We review each document against portal requirements and flag anything that could trigger an officer query.
We draft Form GST REG-01 with the correct business constitution, principal place of business, HSN or SAC codes and authorised signatory details, then share a summary for your confirmation.
The application is filed on the GST portal and we guide the authorised signatory through Aadhaar OTP authentication, which speeds up approval and usually avoids physical verification of premises.
We track the ARN daily. If the officer issues a notice in Form REG-03 seeking clarification, we draft and file the reply in Form REG-04 within the permitted time.
Once approved, we download your registration certificate in Form REG-06, help set up portal login credentials, and brief you on invoice format, return due dates and e-way bill obligations.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: 3-7 working days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Illness, travel or a family function no longer threatens a deadline. With a standing external process holding your calendar and data trail, filings proceed on schedule whether or not you are at your desk.
Each period you receive a simple computation showing output tax, credit utilised and net cash payable, so GST becomes a number you understand and question rather than a figure you accept blindly.
Late-fee waivers and amnesty windows notified by the GST Council are applied to your history within their deadlines, capturing reliefs that most businesses only hear about once the window has already closed.
When a query or verification comes, you respond through a professional who deals with the department regularly, in the department's own language and format, instead of facing an officer's letter alone.
Tax positions, rate choices and credit calls are documented as they are made, so if a question arises years later, the reasoning and evidence are on file rather than in someone's fading memory.
With the LUT filed at the start of each financial year and refund claims tracked to credit, exporters supply without blocking funds in IGST and recover accumulated credit on schedule.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Risk of notices | GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-2B reconciled before filing, removing the mismatches that trigger most scrutiny notices. | Inconsistent figures across returns quietly build a mismatch history that surfaces later as ASMT-10 scrutiny or a demand notice. |
| Time cost | Roughly an hour a month to send data and approve drafts; the portal work, reconciliation and follow-up are ours. | Hours every month lost to portal errors, JSON files, OTP failures and reworking figures — usually on the due date itself. |
| Late fees and interest | Filings go in ahead of statutory dates, so the Rs.50-per-day late fee and 18 percent interest never arise. | Late fees accumulate silently every delayed day, and interest on unpaid tax runs at 18 percent per annum. |
| Annual return preparation | Monthly reconciliations roll naturally into GSTR-9, filed comfortably before 31 December with figures already agreed through the year. | Twelve months of unmatched data reconstructed in December, with differences discovered too late to be corrected cleanly. |
| Goods in transit | E-way bills generated correctly and matched to invoices, so consignments pass roadside inspections without detention or penalty. | A defective or missing e-way bill can mean detention at a checkpoint, with penalties that dwarf the tax on the consignment. |
| When a notice arrives | A professional drafts the reply in the department's format and files it within the statutory window, such as thirty days for ASMT-11. | You face departmental language alone, and a missed reply deadline can convert a simple query into a demand with penalty. |
7th Street teacher colony is a residential street in Kodungaiyur, about 650 m south-west of the centre of Kodungaiyur. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — 7th Street (about 50 m); 14th Street (about 150 m); 3rd Street (about 200 m); 9th Street (about 250 m) — so a site visit on 7th Street teacher colony can usually be combined with other work in Kodungaiyur on the same trip. For GST purposes an address on 7th Street teacher colony falls under the Chennai North CGST Commissionerate, and the Kodungaiyur pincode is 600118.

Sundaresh Bhatt, Liquidator of ABG Shipyard v. Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs — Supreme Court, (2023) 1 SCC 472, judgment dated 26-08-2022 · 2022-08-26
The Supreme Court held that once a moratorium is declared under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, the customs authorities can only assess and quantify their dues; they cannot initiate recovery, sell goods or enforce any lien over the debtor's assets. The Code prevails over the Customs Act to this extent. The authorities must submit their claim to the resolution professional or liquidator like any other creditor.
Practical effect: If a Chennai company is under moratorium, indirect tax officers may quantify dues but cannot attach property or auction goods to recover them.
Notification No. 9/2025-Central Tax (Rate) · 2025-09-17
Implementing the 56th GST Council's rate restructuring, this notification superseded Notification 1/2017-Central Tax (Rate) and prescribed the new goods rate schedule effective 22 September 2025. The 12 and 28 per cent slabs were largely abolished: most daily-use and 12 per cent goods moved to 5 per cent, most 28 per cent goods including consumer durables moved to 18 per cent, and a 40 per cent rate was reserved for a narrow list of sin and luxury goods, with compensation cess subsumed.
Why this matters: Reprice products, update billing software rate masters and review transition stock credits from 22 September 2025, since almost every trader's rate schedule changed under GST 2.0.
Rotary Club of Mumbai Queens Necklace — AAAR Maharashtra (2019), on appeal from AAR Maharashtra, Advance Ruling No. GST-ARA-118/2018-19 · 2019
The club collected membership subscriptions and admission fees which were spent on meetings, administration and communication, with no facility or benefit supplied to members in return. The Maharashtra Appellate Authority for Advance Ruling held that the collections merely defray shared expenses, that there is no supply of goods or services to members, and that the amounts are therefore not consideration liable to tax.
What it means for you: Chennai associations should note that Section 7(1)(aa), inserted with retrospective effect from 1 July 2017, now treats club to member supplies as taxable, so this reasoning no longer holds.
