Professional GST Refund RFD-01 for businesses in Medavakkam, handled end to end by an experienced Chennai GST team. Transparent pricing from Rs.4,999, senior review on every filing, and updates on WhatsApp at each stage of the work.
We serve businesses on and around Bharath Street — document pickup, in-person consultation at our Porur office, or fully online over WhatsApp.
Share your number — a senior GST consultant calls you back within 30 minutes.
Medavakkam's junction links Velachery, Tambaram, Sholinganallur and Mambakkam, making it one of south Chennai's fastest-selling apartment markets, ringed by builders, hardware and sanitaryware dealers, supermarkets and tuition centres along Medavakkam Main Road and the Sholinganallur route. Promoters using the 1 and 5 per cent residential rates must source at least 80 per cent of inputs from registered suppliers or pay tax on the shortfall under reverse charge. For businesses here, staying on the right side of GST is not optional — buyers check compliance, and the department's systems match every return. Our firm provides GST Refund RFD-01 to clients across Medavakkam and neighbouring Pallikaranai and Madipakkam, combining Chennai jurisdiction familiarity with disciplined deadline tracking. Whether you run a shop, a service practice or a growing trading concern, we handle the portal work so you can stay focused on the business itself.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
Most GST notices trace back to mismatches between GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-2B. We reconcile these before filing, not after a notice arrives, so your returns are internally consistent and the most common triggers for ASMT-10 scrutiny simply never appear.
We are a Chennai firm with a physical office, not a faceless portal. If you prefer to sit across a table with your papers, you are welcome. Clients from Medavakkam regularly visit us for registrations, notice discussions and annual return reviews.
Winding up attracts its own GST obligations — the cancellation application, reversal of credit on closing stock, and the final return in GSTR-10 within three months. We close registrations properly so a business you shut in Medavakkam never writes back to you as a demand years later.
GST is confusing enough without a language barrier. Our team explains notices, tax positions and filing requirements in plain Tamil or English, whichever you and your staff in Medavakkam are comfortable with, and keeps written communication simple and jargon-free.
Quarterly filing still demands monthly attention — IFF uploads so your buyers see their credit on time, and tax payment through PMT-06 by the 25th for the first two months of each quarter. We run that monthly rhythm so QRMP saves you effort without creating gaps.
GSTR-3B late fees run at Rs.50 per day and interest at 18 percent per annum on unpaid tax. Our internal cut-offs sit days ahead of statutory due dates precisely so that our clients never hand the department a rupee they did not owe.
We identify the correct refund category, confirm the two-year limitation from the relevant date, and compute the admissible amount using the formula prescribed under the rules.
Invoices, shipping bills, FIRCs, the LUT and ledger extracts are compiled into the prescribed statements, and gaps that commonly cause deficiency memos are fixed upfront.
The refund application is filed on the portal with all annexures and declarations, and the acknowledgement in RFD-02 is tracked within the statutory fifteen days.
We respond to any deficiency memo in RFD-03 or show cause notice in RFD-08, appear through written submissions, and pursue provisional refund where the category permits.
We track the sanction order in RFD-06 and payment advice in RFD-05, confirm the credit in your validated bank account, and archive the complete claim file.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: Application filed in 3-5 working days; sanction typically within 60 days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Whether moving between composition and regular scheme, opting into QRMP, or crossing the e-invoice threshold at Rs.5 crore, transitions are planned in advance rather than discovered after a compliance breach.
A fixed professional fee is almost always cheaper than the combination of late fees, interest, lost credit and staff hours that informal, last-minute compliance quietly accumulates over a year.
Filed returns, challans, reconciliations and working papers are archived in order from day one. If an audit or departmental verification comes, your file is ready the same week, not assembled in a panic.
Funding rounds, partnerships and business sales all begin with a compliance check. A clean, documented GST history lets you clear that scrutiny quickly instead of watching a deal stall over old filing gaps.
Illness, travel or a family function no longer threatens a deadline. With a standing external process holding your calendar and data trail, filings proceed on schedule whether or not you are at your desk.
Your billing staff are guided on invoice fields, rates and series discipline, so mistakes are prevented where they originate — at the counter — instead of being repaired later in the returns.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Record keeping | Every return, challan, acknowledgement and working paper archived in an organised folder, retrievable in minutes years later. | Documents scattered across email, downloads and old phones; assembling records for a bank or an audit takes days. |
| When a notice arrives | A professional drafts the reply in the department's format and files it within the statutory window, such as thirty days for ASMT-11. | You face departmental language alone, and a missed reply deadline can convert a simple query into a demand with penalty. |
| Input tax credit | Purchase register matched against GSTR-2B each period, with defaulting suppliers chased so eligible credit is actually captured. | Credit claimed from books alone; mismatches with GSTR-2B mean lost credit or excess claims that invite departmental queries. |
| Keeping up with changes | Rate changes, portal updates and new thresholds such as the Rs.5 crore e-invoice limit are tracked by us and applied to your case proactively. | Changes are discovered after the fact — often through a rejected filing, a blocked e-way bill or a departmental letter. |
| Portal credentials and data | Logins handled by a small engaged team under strict confidentiality, with credentials stored securely and never passed onward. | Passwords circulating on chats with freelancers and part-timers, and no accountability for who has accessed your business data. |
| Time cost | Roughly an hour a month to send data and approve drafts; the portal work, reconciliation and follow-up are ours. | Hours every month lost to portal errors, JSON files, OTP failures and reworking figures — usually on the due date itself. |
Bharath Street is a residential street in Medavakkam, about 350 m west of the centre of Medavakkam. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — Medavakkam Maempalam (about 50 m); Velachery Mudhanmai Salai (about 300 m); Pillaiyar Kovil Street (about 400 m); Appar Street (about 500 m) — so a site visit on Bharath Street can usually be combined with other work in Medavakkam on the same trip. For GST purposes an address on Bharath Street falls under the Chennai South CGST Commissionerate, and the Medavakkam pincode is 600100.

Notification No. 9/2022-Central Tax (Rate), dated 13 July 2022 · 2022-07-13
From 18 July 2022 the list of goods on which accumulated input tax credit cannot be refunded under the inverted duty structure was expanded to include edible oils of the relevant chapter and coal, briquettes and similar solid fuels. Suppliers of these goods continue to charge the applicable output rate but cannot monetise the credit that piles up because their inputs and input services are taxed higher. Courts have held the restriction operates prospectively only.
What it means for you: Edible oil and coal traders should not budget for inverted duty refunds on supplies made from 18 July 2022, and should plan pricing around the trapped credit.
3rd GST Council Meeting, New Delhi — 18-19 October 2016 (Signed Minutes, Agenda Item 2) · 2016-10-18
The Chairperson offered a compromise between a fixed 13 per cent growth rate, an average of three of the preceding five years' growth after removing the highest and lowest, and a 14 per cent rate pressed by Kerala and Assam. The Council unanimously agreed that projected State revenue for compensation purposes would grow at a flat 14 per cent per year from the 2015-16 base, with CST in that base counted at the actual 2 per cent. This single number determined the size of the compensation bill for the five-year guarantee period and, when actual GST collections fell short of it, drove the compensation cess extensions and the back-to-back borrowing arrangements of later years.
What it means for you: The 14 per cent guarantee is the reason compensation cess outlived its original five-year sunset, so cess-bearing goods remain costlier than the headline GST rate suggests.
Britannia Industries Ltd v. Union of India — Gujarat High Court, R/Special Civil Application No. 15473 of 2019, judgment dated 11 March 2020 · 2020-03-11
An SEZ unit had accumulated unutilised IGST credit distributed to it by its Input Service Distributor. The refund was rejected on the ground that Rule 89 permits only the supplier to SEZ to claim refund. The High Court allowed the refund of about Rs. 99 lakh, holding that where an ISD has already distributed the credit there is no supplier who can claim it, and that a circular cannot override Section 54 of the CGST Act to leave the credit permanently stranded.
Practical effect: If credit is genuinely stuck with no other route to recover it, a rigid reading of the refund rules or a circular is not a valid ground for rejection.
