From Rs.1,499, our team delivers New GST Registration for shops, service providers and manufacturers across Mugalivakkam. Local jurisdiction knowledge, deadline tracking and honest, upfront fees — the way GST compliance in Chennai should actually work.
We serve businesses on and around Saraswathy Street — document pickup, in-person consultation at our Porur office, or fully online over WhatsApp.
Share your number — a senior GST consultant calls you back within 30 minutes.
Finding dependable New GST Registration in Mugalivakkam usually means choosing between a distant online portal and an overloaded local accountant. Mugalivakkam sits between Porur and Manapakkam, its AGS Colony, Sabari Nagar, Sakthi Nagar, Mahalakshmi Nagar and VGN Lakshmi Nagar layouts packed with apartment blocks over ground-floor shops on Mugalivakkam Main Road. Builders, interior and aluminium fabricators, hardware and tile dealers, supermarkets and PG operators trade here. Joint-development revenue recognition, the one-third land abatement, reverse charge on commercial rent and Rule 42 credit reversal on exempt flat sales are the standard questions. We offer a third option: a professional Chennai GST practice that treats Mugalivakkam, Manapakkam and Ramapuram as home ground, responds the same working day, files ahead of deadlines, and stands behind its work if a notice ever arrives on a return we prepared.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
Goods sent to job workers must move on delivery challans, return within the statutory period, and be reported in ITC-04. We track every outward and return leg for manufacturing clients in Mugalivakkam, so inputs sent out for processing never quietly convert into a deemed supply carrying tax and interest.
You deal with one accountable person who knows your business, your turnover pattern and your filing history. No repeating your story to a new voice every month, and no file falling between two desks when a deadline is approaching.
Every new client receives a review of their recent returns before we file anything — unclaimed credit, GSTR-1 versus GSTR-3B drift, and exposures worth correcting quietly. Businesses in Mugalivakkam often discover in this first review exactly why their previous arrangement was costing them money.
Quarterly filing still demands monthly attention — IFF uploads so your buyers see their credit on time, and tax payment through PMT-06 by the 25th for the first two months of each quarter. We run that monthly rhythm so QRMP saves you effort without creating gaps.
You receive a WhatsApp message when documents are received, when the draft is ready for your approval, and when the return or application is filed, along with the acknowledgement. You never have to call and ask what is happening with your file.
Freight paid to transporters, advocate fees, imported services and other notified supplies attract GST under reverse charge, with self-invoicing where the supplier is unregistered. We maintain a running RCM check every period, because this is the liability self-filers most consistently miss.
You share PAN, Aadhaar, photographs, address proof and bank details over WhatsApp or email. We review each document against portal requirements and flag anything that could trigger an officer query.
We draft Form GST REG-01 with the correct business constitution, principal place of business, HSN or SAC codes and authorised signatory details, then share a summary for your confirmation.
The application is filed on the GST portal and we guide the authorised signatory through Aadhaar OTP authentication, which speeds up approval and usually avoids physical verification of premises.
We track the ARN daily. If the officer issues a notice in Form REG-03 seeking clarification, we draft and file the reply in Form REG-04 within the permitted time.
Once approved, we download your registration certificate in Form REG-06, help set up portal login credentials, and brief you on invoice format, return due dates and e-way bill obligations.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: 3-7 working days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Interest on delayed GST payment runs at 18 percent per annum, which is costlier than most working capital finance. Timely computation and payment through our calendar keeps that meter permanently at zero.
You know your expected GST outflow days before the 20th, not on the night of filing. That advance visibility lets you plan payments, collections and bank balances instead of scrambling for funds at the deadline.
Rates, reverse charge, place of supply and blocked credits are applied correctly at the preparation stage, so you neither overpay tax you do not owe nor underpay and invite demands with penalty later.
Each period you receive a simple computation showing output tax, credit utilised and net cash payable, so GST becomes a number you understand and question rather than a figure you accept blindly.
Statutory windows such as thirty days for an ASMT-11 reply are tracked from the day a notice arrives, so responses go in on time, complete, and with your best case properly presented.
Funding rounds, partnerships and business sales all begin with a compliance check. A clean, documented GST history lets you clear that scrutiny quickly instead of watching a deal stall over old filing gaps.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Refund claims | RFD-01 filed with complete statements and annexures, tracked from ARN to bank credit, with any deficiency memo answered promptly. | Incomplete claims bounce back as deficiency memos while the refund sits unclaimed for months and working capital stays blocked. |
| Risk of notices | GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-2B reconciled before filing, removing the mismatches that trigger most scrutiny notices. | Inconsistent figures across returns quietly build a mismatch history that surfaces later as ASMT-10 scrutiny or a demand notice. |
| Due-date tracking | A maintained compliance calendar with internal cut-offs days before the 11th and the 20th; we chase you for data, not the other way around. | Deadlines remembered from memory or phone alarms; one busy week and the return slips past the due date. |
| Annual return preparation | Monthly reconciliations roll naturally into GSTR-9, filed comfortably before 31 December with figures already agreed through the year. | Twelve months of unmatched data reconstructed in December, with differences discovered too late to be corrected cleanly. |
| Registration and amendments | Query-resistant applications prepared correctly the first time, with supporting documents matched to what proper officers actually verify. | Repeated clarification memos and resubmissions, with weeks lost because a rent agreement or premises photograph did not meet expectations. |
| Late fees and interest | Filings go in ahead of statutory dates, so the Rs.50-per-day late fee and 18 percent interest never arise. | Late fees accumulate silently every delayed day, and interest on unpaid tax runs at 18 percent per annum. |
Saraswathy Street is a residential street in Mugalivakkam, about 1.1 km south-west of the centre of Mugalivakkam. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — Vishwanathan Palani Street (about 50 m); Kalaimagal Street (about 50 m); VGN Lakshmi Nagar Main Road (about 100 m); Subramaniam Street (about 150 m) — so a site visit on Saraswathy Street can usually be combined with other work in Mugalivakkam on the same trip. For GST purposes an address on Saraswathy Street falls under the Chennai South CGST Commissionerate, and the Mugalivakkam pincode is 600116.

Notification No. 10/2019-Central Tax dated 07.03.2019 · 2019-03-07
With effect from 1 April 2019 this notification exempts from obtaining registration any person engaged exclusively in the supply of goods whose aggregate turnover in the financial year does not exceed Rs 40 lakh. The exemption does not apply to persons required to register compulsorily under section 24, persons making supplies of ice cream and other edible ice, pan masala and tobacco products, persons in specified special category States, and persons who choose to remain voluntarily registered.
Practical effect: A Chennai trader dealing exclusively in goods can stay unregistered up to Rs 40 lakh, but a business supplying any services at all remains on the Rs 20 lakh threshold.
Munjaal Manishbhai Bhatt v. Union of India — Gujarat High Court, 2022 · 2022-05-06
In a bungalow purchase where land constituted the dominant value, the Gujarat High Court held that the deeming fiction treating land value as one-third of the total consideration for GST on construction is arbitrary if applied mandatorily. Where the actual value of land is ascertainable from the agreement, tax must be computed after deducting the real land value; the one-third deduction in the rate notification was read down as optional, available at the taxpayer's choice.
Why this matters: Builders and buyers with separately valued land agreements can compute GST on actual construction value — worth revisiting for plotted developments and villa projects around Chennai.
46th GST Council Meeting, New Delhi — 31 December 2021 · 2021-12-31
The 46th meeting was convened on the last day of 2021 with essentially one outcome. The Council recommended deferring the decision to change the rates in textiles that had been recommended at the 45th meeting, so that the existing rates in the textile sector would continue beyond 1 January 2022. The reversal came after sustained representations from textile states and the trade that the increase from 5 to 12 per cent would raise costs for consumers and unorganised weavers. The footwear rate increase, however, went ahead as planned.
How we apply it: Textile traders in Chennai and across Tamil Nadu continued at five per cent from January 2022, but footwear moved to twelve per cent, so the two sectors diverged from that date.
