From Rs.1,499, our team delivers New GST Registration for shops, service providers and manufacturers across Old Washermanpet. Local jurisdiction knowledge, deadline tracking and honest, upfront fees — the way GST compliance in Chennai should actually work.
We serve businesses on and around Telugu Chetty Street — document pickup, in-person consultation at our Porur office, or fully online over WhatsApp.
Share your number — a senior GST consultant calls you back within 30 minutes.
Old Washermanpet is Chennai's gold covering and jewellery manufacturing hub, with hundreds of workshops and karigar units around Sanjeevirayan Koil Street, Mint Street's northern stretch and Walltax Road feeding showrooms across Tamil Nadu. Because most pieces move between principal and job worker, maintaining job work challans and filing ITC-04 correctly, alongside making charges billing, is the neighbourhood's defining GST challenge. That commercial character shapes the GST questions we see from Old Washermanpet every week — registrations, monthly returns, credit mismatches and departmental queries. We deliver New GST Registration for businesses in Old Washermanpet, and clients also reach us from Royapuram and Tondiarpet nearby. Documents move over WhatsApp, drafts are approved before filing, and a senior consultant reviews every submission, so distance from our office never dilutes the quality of the work.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
GSTR-1 by the 11th, GSTR-3B by the 20th, CMP-08 by the 18th after each quarter — we maintain a compliance calendar for every client and start chasing your data well before the due date, so late fees never enter the picture.
Every new client receives a review of their recent returns before we file anything — unclaimed credit, GSTR-1 versus GSTR-3B drift, and exposures worth correcting quietly. Businesses in Old Washermanpet often discover in this first review exactly why their previous arrangement was costing them money.
When an ADT-01 audit intimation or a personal hearing date arrives, we compile the records, prepare the reconciliations and draft the submissions, and coordinate closely with your authorised representative. You walk into the proceeding prepared, not improvising in front of an officer.
Winding up attracts its own GST obligations — the cancellation application, reversal of credit on closing stock, and the final return in GSTR-10 within three months. We close registrations properly so a business you shut in Old Washermanpet never writes back to you as a demand years later.
We are a Chennai firm with a physical office, not a faceless portal. If you prefer to sit across a table with your papers, you are welcome. Clients from Old Washermanpet regularly visit us for registrations, notice discussions and annual return reviews.
Your sales figures, supplier lists and login credentials are handled only by our engaged team, stored securely and never shared with any third party. Many of our clients in Old Washermanpet compete with each other; complete confidentiality is a condition of our work.
You share PAN, Aadhaar, photographs, address proof and bank details over WhatsApp or email. We review each document against portal requirements and flag anything that could trigger an officer query.
We draft Form GST REG-01 with the correct business constitution, principal place of business, HSN or SAC codes and authorised signatory details, then share a summary for your confirmation.
The application is filed on the GST portal and we guide the authorised signatory through Aadhaar OTP authentication, which speeds up approval and usually avoids physical verification of premises.
We track the ARN daily. If the officer issues a notice in Form REG-03 seeking clarification, we draft and file the reply in Form REG-04 within the permitted time.
Once approved, we download your registration certificate in Form REG-06, help set up portal login credentials, and brief you on invoice format, return due dates and e-way bill obligations.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: 3-7 working days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Large buyers check vendor GST compliance before releasing payments and renewing contracts. A clean filing record with timely GSTR-1 uploads keeps your invoices reflecting in their GSTR-2B and your payments unblocked.
E-commerce platforms continuously validate seller GSTINs and filing status. A consistently compliant registration keeps your listings active and settlements flowing, with no sudden suspension of your online sales channel.
Excess balances parked in the electronic cash ledger are identified during regular ledger reviews and either utilised against upcoming liability or claimed back as a refund, instead of sitting interest-free with the government.
Getting IGST versus CGST and SGST right at the invoice stage spares you the painful cycle of paying the correct head again and pursuing a refund of the amount paid under the wrong one.
Your billing staff are guided on invoice fields, rates and series discipline, so mistakes are prevented where they originate — at the counter — instead of being repaired later in the returns.
Funding rounds, partnerships and business sales all begin with a compliance check. A clean, documented GST history lets you clear that scrutiny quickly instead of watching a deal stall over old filing gaps.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Goods in transit | E-way bills generated correctly and matched to invoices, so consignments pass roadside inspections without detention or penalty. | A defective or missing e-way bill can mean detention at a checkpoint, with penalties that dwarf the tax on the consignment. |
| Portal credentials and data | Logins handled by a small engaged team under strict confidentiality, with credentials stored securely and never passed onward. | Passwords circulating on chats with freelancers and part-timers, and no accountability for who has accessed your business data. |
| Input tax credit | Purchase register matched against GSTR-2B each period, with defaulting suppliers chased so eligible credit is actually captured. | Credit claimed from books alone; mismatches with GSTR-2B mean lost credit or excess claims that invite departmental queries. |
| When a notice arrives | A professional drafts the reply in the department's format and files it within the statutory window, such as thirty days for ASMT-11. | You face departmental language alone, and a missed reply deadline can convert a simple query into a demand with penalty. |
| Annual return preparation | Monthly reconciliations roll naturally into GSTR-9, filed comfortably before 31 December with figures already agreed through the year. | Twelve months of unmatched data reconstructed in December, with differences discovered too late to be corrected cleanly. |
| Supplier defaults | Suppliers who stop uploading invoices are identified within the period and pursued before their default becomes your blocked credit. | Missing supplier invoices surface only when credit is denied, by which time recovering the amount from the vendor is difficult. |
We track every notification, circular and judgment that changes a filing position, so your returns and replies reflect the current law.
Circular No. 167/23/2021-GST dated 17 December 2021 · 2021-12-17
Following the 45th GST Council meeting, restaurant service supplied through an e-commerce operator was notified under section 9(5) with effect from 1 January 2022. CBIC clarified that the operator, and not the restaurant, is liable to pay the tax on such supplies, must discharge it in cash without using input tax credit, and issues the invoice for the service. The restaurant continues to pay tax on its own dine-in and direct sales, and the aggregate turnover of the restaurant still includes the supplies made through the platform.
How we apply it: Chennai restaurants listed on delivery platforms must separate platform sales from direct sales in their records, because the tax on the former is paid by the platform.
Commissioner of Customs and Central Excise v. Hongo India (P) Ltd — Supreme Court, (2009) 5 SCC 791, judgment dated 27-03-2009 · 2009-03-27
The Supreme Court held that where a special taxing statute provides a complete code with its own limitation scheme, the general provisions of the Limitation Act permitting condonation of delay do not apply. Delay in filing a reference or appeal beyond the period prescribed by the special statute cannot be condoned. The scheme, language and object of the special Act determine whether the Limitation Act is impliedly excluded.
What it means for you: Chennai businesses must treat GST appeal and revision deadlines as absolute, since general limitation relief is not available.
34th GST Council Meeting (video conferencing) — 19 March 2019 · 2019-03-19
The Council gave promoters a one-time option to continue paying tax at the old effective rates of eight or twelve per cent with input tax credit on ongoing projects, meaning buildings where both construction and actual booking had started before 1 April 2019 and which were not completed by 31 March 2019. The option had to be exercised once within a prescribed time frame, failing which the new rates applied automatically. Credit for projects moving across was to be transitioned pro rata.
Why this matters: Chennai builders who did not formally exercise the option in 2019 are on the one and five per cent no-credit rates, and any credit claimed since then is exposed to reversal.
