Whether you are a first-time registrant or an established trader, GSTR-1 & GSTR-3B Monthly Filing in Old Washermanpet deserves a specialist rather than a side job. From Rs.749, our GST-focused Chennai practice runs the entire process on written checklists and senior-reviewed submissions.
We serve businesses on and around Buddha Street — document pickup, in-person consultation at our Porur office, or fully online over WhatsApp.

Old Washermanpet is Chennai's gold covering and jewellery manufacturing hub, with hundreds of workshops and karigar units around Sanjeevirayan Koil Street, Mint Street's northern stretch and Walltax Road feeding showrooms across Tamil Nadu. Because most pieces move between principal and job worker, maintaining job work challans and filing ITC-04 correctly, alongside making charges billing, is the neighbourhood's defining GST challenge. Years of working in and around Old Washermanpet have shown us where GST trouble actually begins here — supplier defaults, classification doubts and deadlines lost in busy trading weeks. Our GSTR-1 & GSTR-3B Monthly Filing is built to close precisely those gaps, and the same team supports businesses in Royapuram and Tondiarpet, each with one point of contact and a compliance calendar maintained on their behalf.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
A new GSTIN comes with obligations nobody explains at approval — the invoice series rules, displaying the registration certificate and GSTIN at your premises, and the first return cycle. We walk new registrants in Old Washermanpet through each of these so month one starts correctly.
Every new client receives a review of their recent returns before we file anything — unclaimed credit, GSTR-1 versus GSTR-3B drift, and exposures worth correcting quietly. Businesses in Old Washermanpet often discover in this first review exactly why their previous arrangement was costing them money.
We work with Chennai GST ranges and circles every week, including the jurisdiction covering Old Washermanpet. We know how local proper officers examine registrations, what supporting documents they routinely call for, and how to present a file so it moves without repeated queries.
GSTR-1 requires four-digit HSN reporting for turnover up to Rs.5 crore and six digits above it, and a wrong code often means a wrong rate. We verify the classification of what you actually supply, so your invoices and returns rest on defensible codes.
Your sales figures, supplier lists and login credentials are handled only by our engaged team, stored securely and never shared with any third party. Many of our clients in Old Washermanpet compete with each other; complete confidentiality is a condition of our work.
Sellers on Amazon, Flipkart and other marketplaces face a three-way match between marketplace reports, GSTR-1 and the TCS the operator deposits against your GSTIN. We reconcile all three every period and accept the TCS credit, so sellers in Old Washermanpet never leave marketplace deductions unclaimed.
At month end we remind you and collect sales invoices, purchase bills and credit notes in whatever format you maintain, including Excel, Tally exports or scanned copies.
We prepare invoice-wise outward supply details, validate GSTINs of your B2B customers, summarise B2C supplies and file GSTR-1 on the portal before the 11th.
We download your auto-drafted GSTR-2B, match it against purchase records, and claim only eligible input tax credit so that mismatches do not trigger scrutiny notices later.
We compute net tax payable after ITC set-off, share the working with you for approval, and generate the payment challan for any cash liability.
After your confirmation and tax payment, we file GSTR-3B before the 20th and send you both filed acknowledgements along with a one-page summary of the month.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: Filed before the 11th and 20th of every month · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Rs.7,999/year
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Your billing staff are guided on invoice fields, rates and series discipline, so mistakes are prevented where they originate — at the counter — instead of being repaired later in the returns.
Because turnover in your GST returns is kept aligned with your accounts through the year, income tax filing and statutory audit proceed without the GST-versus-books mismatch queries that now surface routinely through data matching.
You know your expected GST outflow days before the 20th, not on the night of filing. That advance visibility lets you plan payments, collections and bank balances instead of scrambling for funds at the deadline.
The hours you or your accountant spent wrestling with the portal, JSON errors and reconciliations every month return to sales, operations and customers, while trained hands manage the compliance in the background.
Correct e-way bills matched to correct invoices mean your consignments clear roadside inspections cleanly, avoiding detention proceedings whose penalties can far exceed the tax on the goods being carried.
Illness, travel or a family function no longer threatens a deadline. With a standing external process holding your calendar and data trail, filings proceed on schedule whether or not you are at your desk.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Supplier defaults | Suppliers who stop uploading invoices are identified within the period and pursued before their default becomes your blocked credit. | Missing supplier invoices surface only when credit is denied, by which time recovering the amount from the vendor is difficult. |
| Time cost | Roughly an hour a month to send data and approve drafts; the portal work, reconciliation and follow-up are ours. | Hours every month lost to portal errors, JSON files, OTP failures and reworking figures — usually on the due date itself. |
| Goods in transit | E-way bills generated correctly and matched to invoices, so consignments pass roadside inspections without detention or penalty. | A defective or missing e-way bill can mean detention at a checkpoint, with penalties that dwarf the tax on the consignment. |
| When a notice arrives | A professional drafts the reply in the department's format and files it within the statutory window, such as thirty days for ASMT-11. | You face departmental language alone, and a missed reply deadline can convert a simple query into a demand with penalty. |
| Due-date tracking | A maintained compliance calendar with internal cut-offs days before the 11th and the 20th; we chase you for data, not the other way around. | Deadlines remembered from memory or phone alarms; one busy week and the return slips past the due date. |
| Annual return preparation | Monthly reconciliations roll naturally into GSTR-9, filed comfortably before 31 December with figures already agreed through the year. | Twelve months of unmatched data reconstructed in December, with differences discovered too late to be corrected cleanly. |
Buddha Street is a residential street in Old Washermanpet, about 300 m south-west of the centre of Old Washermanpet. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — Arumugam Street (about 100 m); 1st Street (about 150 m); Muthiah Mudali Street (about 200 m); Basuvaian Street (about 250 m) — so a site visit on Buddha Street can usually be combined with other work in Old Washermanpet on the same trip. For GST purposes an address on Buddha Street falls under the Chennai North CGST Commissionerate, and the Old Washermanpet pincode is 600021.
Road classification and position from OpenStreetMap; distances are straight-line and approximate. Jurisdiction must be confirmed on your own registration certificate.
A working knowledge of recent instruments and judgments is what separates a defensible filing from a risky one.
56th GST Council Meeting, New Delhi — 3 September 2025 · 2025-09-03
The 56th GST Council meeting approved the biggest structural reform since 2017, replacing the 5, 12, 18 and 28 per cent slabs with a two-rate structure — a 5 per cent merit rate and an 18 per cent standard rate — plus a 40 per cent de-merit rate for a narrow set of luxury and sin goods. Most items at 12 per cent moved to 5 per cent and most at 28 per cent moved to 18 per cent. The new rates took effect from 22 September 2025 and remain in force.
What it means for you: Every Chennai business had to re-map product rates, reprice stock and update billing software from 22 September 2025 — rate mistakes since then invite scrutiny notices.
Notification No. 11/2025-Central Tax (Rate), dated 17 September 2025 · 2025-09-17
This notification amends the 2017 concessional rate notification for goods supplied to holders of petroleum exploration licences and coal-bed methane contracts, substituting the entry in the rate column with nine per cent central tax, that is eighteen per cent combined, with effect from 22 September 2025. The concessional scheme survives but at the standard rate, so the practical benefit is now limited to items that would otherwise attract a higher rate under the main schedule.
What to do about it: Vendors supplying oil and gas exploration projects should update contract rate clauses to eighteen per cent for supplies made on or after 22 September 2025.
GSTN Advisory dated 29 June 2023 — online compliance in Form GST DRC-01B under Rule 88C of the CGST Rules · 2023-06-29
Where the liability declared in GSTR-1 for a tax period exceeds the liability paid through GSTR-3B beyond the prescribed limit, the system issues an intimation in Form GST DRC-01B. The taxpayer must either pay the difference with interest through Form DRC-03 or file a reply in Part B of DRC-01B explaining the reasons, within seven days. If no action is taken, the next GSTR-1 cannot be filed.
How we apply it: Reconcile GSTR-1 with GSTR-3B every month, because an unanswered DRC-01B will block your next outward return.
