Saidapet's trade runs to auto workshops, spare parts dealers, hardware and timber merchants along Anna Salai and Jeenis Road, with the Saidapet court complex feeding legal and documentation services. Used-parts dealers must apply the margin scheme correctly, and small traders here frequently accumulate GSTR-3B late fees of Rs.50 per day that dwarf the tax actually payable. That commercial character shapes the GST questions we see from Saidapet every week — registrations, monthly returns, credit mismatches and departmental queries. We deliver New GST Registration for businesses in Saidapet, and clients also reach us from Guindy and T. Nagar nearby. Documents move over WhatsApp, drafts are approved before filing, and a senior consultant reviews every submission, so distance from our office never dilutes the quality of the work.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
You are told the full fee before we begin, in writing. No surprise additions for uploads, revisions or acknowledgements. Government fees and taxes, where applicable, are shown separately, so businesses in Saidapet always know exactly what the engagement costs them.
New GSTIN applications, core field amendments through REG-14, additional places of business — we prepare complete, query-resistant applications the first time. Clean paperwork is the difference between smooth approval and weeks lost answering clarification memos from the department.
Your work is executed by trained GST staff working under direct senior supervision, not passed to interns learning on your file. The person preparing your return understands reverse charge, blocked credits and place of supply, because getting these wrong costs you money.
Composition dealers have their own rulebook — CMP-08 every quarter, GSTR-4 annually by 30 June, bills of supply instead of tax invoices, and a turnover ceiling that must be watched. We handle each of these correctly so the scheme's simplicity never turns into a violation.
When an ADT-01 audit intimation or a personal hearing date arrives, we compile the records, prepare the reconciliations and draft the submissions, and coordinate closely with your authorised representative. You walk into the proceeding prepared, not improvising in front of an officer.
E-invoicing is mandatory once turnover crosses Rs.5 crore and e-way bills apply to goods movements above Rs.50,000. We set up, train and troubleshoot both systems, so your despatches from Saidapet are never held up by a compliance gap at the gate.
You share PAN, Aadhaar, photographs, address proof and bank details over WhatsApp or email. We review each document against portal requirements and flag anything that could trigger an officer query.
We draft Form GST REG-01 with the correct business constitution, principal place of business, HSN or SAC codes and authorised signatory details, then share a summary for your confirmation.
The application is filed on the GST portal and we guide the authorised signatory through Aadhaar OTP authentication, which speeds up approval and usually avoids physical verification of premises.
We track the ARN daily. If the officer issues a notice in Form REG-03 seeking clarification, we draft and file the reply in Form REG-04 within the permitted time.
Once approved, we download your registration certificate in Form REG-06, help set up portal login credentials, and brief you on invoice format, return due dates and e-way bill obligations.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: 3-7 working days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Late-fee waivers and amnesty windows notified by the GST Council are applied to your history within their deadlines, capturing reliefs that most businesses only hear about once the window has already closed.
When a business winds up, proper cancellation and a timely final return ensure the file is genuinely closed, so no demand or late-fee computation resurfaces against you long after the shutters came down.
Systematic GSTR-2B matching and supplier follow-up mean input tax credit that was leaking away under self-filing is captured each month, directly reducing the cash you pay out with every GSTR-3B.
A fixed professional fee is almost always cheaper than the combination of late fees, interest, lost credit and staff hours that informal, last-minute compliance quietly accumulates over a year.
The 11th and the 20th stop being days of dread. You approve a prepared draft, we file, and the acknowledgement lands on your WhatsApp — month after month, without drama.
Because monthly data is reconciled as it happens, GSTR-9 preparation before the 31 December due date becomes a review exercise rather than a painful reconstruction of twelve untidy months.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Time cost | Roughly an hour a month to send data and approve drafts; the portal work, reconciliation and follow-up are ours. | Hours every month lost to portal errors, JSON files, OTP failures and reworking figures — usually on the due date itself. |
| Risk of notices | GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-2B reconciled before filing, removing the mismatches that trigger most scrutiny notices. | Inconsistent figures across returns quietly build a mismatch history that surfaces later as ASMT-10 scrutiny or a demand notice. |
| Late fees and interest | Filings go in ahead of statutory dates, so the Rs.50-per-day late fee and 18 percent interest never arise. | Late fees accumulate silently every delayed day, and interest on unpaid tax runs at 18 percent per annum. |
| Due-date tracking | A maintained compliance calendar with internal cut-offs days before the 11th and the 20th; we chase you for data, not the other way around. | Deadlines remembered from memory or phone alarms; one busy week and the return slips past the due date. |
| Record keeping | Every return, challan, acknowledgement and working paper archived in an organised folder, retrievable in minutes years later. | Documents scattered across email, downloads and old phones; assembling records for a bank or an audit takes days. |
| Annual return preparation | Monthly reconciliations roll naturally into GSTR-9, filed comfortably before 31 December with figures already agreed through the year. | Twelve months of unmatched data reconstructed in December, with differences discovered too late to be corrected cleanly. |
Jeenis Road is a main connecting road in Saidapet, about 150 m east of the centre of Saidapet. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — Anna Salai (Mount Road) (about 100 m); Bazaar Road Subway (about 100 m); Bazaar Road (about 300 m); Bhujanga Rao Street (about 350 m) — so a site visit on Jeenis Road can usually be combined with other work in Saidapet on the same trip. For GST purposes an address on Jeenis Road falls under the Chennai South CGST Commissionerate, and the Saidapet pincode is 600015.

The Bank of Nova Scotia - AAR Tamil Nadu, Order No. TN/23/AAR/2018, dated 31 December 2018 · 2018-12-31
The bank imported goods and stored them in a Free Trade Warehousing Zone before they were cleared. It asked whether integrated tax was payable again when the goods were removed from the zone to the domestic tariff area, over and above the tax collected at the time of customs clearance. The Authority, following Circular No. 3/1/2018-IGST dated 25 May 2018, held that the applicant is not liable to pay IGST at the time of removal, the levy arising once at clearance for home consumption.
Practical effect: Chennai importers using FTWZ facilities pay IGST once at clearance and should resist any demand for a second levy on removal.
GSTN Advisory dated 1 November 2025 — simplified registration scheme under Rule 14A · 2025-11-01
GSTN operationalised the optional simplified registration scheme under Rule 14A of the CGST Rules from 1 November 2025. Applicants whose self-assessed output tax liability, across CGST, SGST, IGST and cess, does not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh per month can opt in while filing REG-01 and receive registration within three working days, subject to mandatory Aadhaar authentication of the primary authorised signatory and at least one promoter or partner.
What to do about it: Small Chennai businesses starting out can opt for Rule 14A registration to begin billing within days instead of waiting through full verification.
23rd GST Council Meeting, Guwahati — 10 November 2017 (PIB Release ID 1509037) · 2017-11-10
The Council recommended reducing the GST rate from 28 to 18 per cent on goods falling in 178 headings at the four-digit level, including four headings only partially pruned, so that the 28 per cent list fell from 224 tariff headings to only about 50. Further reductions were recommended from 28 to 12 per cent, from 18 to 12 per cent and from 18 to 5 per cent on specified goods, together with relief for the aviation and handicraft sectors and restaurants.
Practical effect: This is the single largest rate rationalisation of the early GST years and reset the price and credit position for most Chennai consumer goods dealers overnight.
