New GST Registration in Sembium does not have to mean portal errors, guesswork and due-date tension. For a fixed fee starting Rs.1,499, an accountable Chennai practice prepares, reconciles, reviews and files — and remains answerable long after the acknowledgement arrives.
We serve businesses on and around Kannabiraan Koil Street — document pickup, in-person consultation at our Porur office, or fully online over WhatsApp.
Share your number — a senior GST consultant calls you back within 30 minutes.
Finding dependable New GST Registration in Sembium usually means choosing between a distant online portal and an overloaded local accountant. Sembium straddles Paper Mills Road, Madhavaram High Road and Erukkancheri High Road, feeding the Perambur Carriage Works with fabrication shops, rubber and hosiery units, hardware and timber dealers. Bunder Garden Main Street, Melpatti Ponappa Street and Market Street hold provision wholesalers, sweet stalls and lorry booking agents, and the Carriage Works Road sheds house body builders. Transporters issuing consignment notes, reverse charge on freight and e-way bill expiry on Moolakadai bound loads are the standing pain points. We offer a third option: a professional Chennai GST practice that treats Sembium, Perambur and Agaram as home ground, responds the same working day, files ahead of deadlines, and stands behind its work if a notice ever arrives on a return we prepared.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
No filing leaves our desk on a junior's judgement alone. A senior GST practitioner reviews your figures, ITC claims and tax computation before submission, so errors are caught at our table and not by the department months later through a notice.
E-invoicing is mandatory once turnover crosses Rs.5 crore and e-way bills apply to goods movements above Rs.50,000. We set up, train and troubleshoot both systems, so your despatches from Sembium are never held up by a compliance gap at the gate.
OTP failures, DSC errors, stuck submissions on due-date evenings — we deal with the GST portal daily and know the workarounds. When the site misbehaves on the 20th, our team keeps retrying and escalating so your return still goes through.
Goods sent to job workers must move on delivery challans, return within the statutory period, and be reported in ITC-04. We track every outward and return leg for manufacturing clients in Sembium, so inputs sent out for processing never quietly convert into a deemed supply carrying tax and interest.
When an ADT-01 audit intimation or a personal hearing date arrives, we compile the records, prepare the reconciliations and draft the submissions, and coordinate closely with your authorised representative. You walk into the proceeding prepared, not improvising in front of an officer.
A new GSTIN comes with obligations nobody explains at approval — the invoice series rules, displaying the registration certificate and GSTIN at your premises, and the first return cycle. We walk new registrants in Sembium through each of these so month one starts correctly.
You share PAN, Aadhaar, photographs, address proof and bank details over WhatsApp or email. We review each document against portal requirements and flag anything that could trigger an officer query.
We draft Form GST REG-01 with the correct business constitution, principal place of business, HSN or SAC codes and authorised signatory details, then share a summary for your confirmation.
The application is filed on the GST portal and we guide the authorised signatory through Aadhaar OTP authentication, which speeds up approval and usually avoids physical verification of premises.
We track the ARN daily. If the officer issues a notice in Form REG-03 seeking clarification, we draft and file the reply in Form REG-04 within the permitted time.
Once approved, we download your registration certificate in Form REG-06, help set up portal login credentials, and brief you on invoice format, return due dates and e-way bill obligations.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: 3-7 working days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Where a genuine error is found in a past period, voluntary payment through DRC-03 before any notice issues closes the matter at minimal cost, instead of letting it ripen into a demand with penalty.
The 11th and the 20th stop being days of dread. You approve a prepared draft, we file, and the acknowledgement lands on your WhatsApp — month after month, without drama.
Filed returns, challans, reconciliations and working papers are archived in order from day one. If an audit or departmental verification comes, your file is ready the same week, not assembled in a panic.
When a business winds up, proper cancellation and a timely final return ensure the file is genuinely closed, so no demand or late-fee computation resurfaces against you long after the shutters came down.
Rates, reverse charge, place of supply and blocked credits are applied correctly at the preparation stage, so you neither overpay tax you do not owe nor underpay and invite demands with penalty later.
Large buyers check vendor GST compliance before releasing payments and renewing contracts. A clean filing record with timely GSTR-1 uploads keeps your invoices reflecting in their GSTR-2B and your payments unblocked.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Due-date tracking | A maintained compliance calendar with internal cut-offs days before the 11th and the 20th; we chase you for data, not the other way around. | Deadlines remembered from memory or phone alarms; one busy week and the return slips past the due date. |
| Time cost | Roughly an hour a month to send data and approve drafts; the portal work, reconciliation and follow-up are ours. | Hours every month lost to portal errors, JSON files, OTP failures and reworking figures — usually on the due date itself. |
| Supplier defaults | Suppliers who stop uploading invoices are identified within the period and pursued before their default becomes your blocked credit. | Missing supplier invoices surface only when credit is denied, by which time recovering the amount from the vendor is difficult. |
| Record keeping | Every return, challan, acknowledgement and working paper archived in an organised folder, retrievable in minutes years later. | Documents scattered across email, downloads and old phones; assembling records for a bank or an audit takes days. |
| Portal credentials and data | Logins handled by a small engaged team under strict confidentiality, with credentials stored securely and never passed onward. | Passwords circulating on chats with freelancers and part-timers, and no accountability for who has accessed your business data. |
| Risk of notices | GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-2B reconciled before filing, removing the mismatches that trigger most scrutiny notices. | Inconsistent figures across returns quietly build a mismatch history that surfaces later as ASMT-10 scrutiny or a demand notice. |
Kannabiraan Koil Street is a residential street in Sembium, about 1.2 km south-east of the centre of Sembium. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — Rajabather Street (about 150 m); Tank Bund Road (about 150 m); Bunder Garden Main Street (about 200 m); Paper Mills Road (about 300 m) — so a site visit on Kannabiraan Koil Street can usually be combined with other work in Sembium on the same trip. For GST purposes an address on Kannabiraan Koil Street falls under the Chennai North CGST Commissionerate, and the Sembium pincode is 600011.
Road classification and position from OpenStreetMap; distances are straight-line and approximate. Jurisdiction must be confirmed on your own registration certificate.
A working knowledge of recent instruments and judgments is what separates a defensible filing from a risky one.
GSTN Advisory dated 23 August 2024 — Rule 10A bank account furnishing · 2024-08-23
GSTN advised that under Rule 10A of the CGST Rules, registered taxpayers must furnish valid bank account details within 30 days of registration or before filing GSTR-1 or IFF, whichever is earlier. From 1 September 2024 the portal blocks GSTR-1 and IFF filing for taxpayers whose bank account details are not available and validated on the portal. The measure targets fraudulent registrations created without genuine banking trails.
What to do about it: Newly registered businesses should add and validate their bank account on the portal immediately after registration to avoid a filing blockage.
Notification No. 10/2018-Central Tax (Rate) dated 23.03.2018 · 2018-03-23
This notification amended Notification 08/2017-Central Tax (Rate) to extend the exemption from reverse charge on intra-State supplies received by a registered person from an unregistered supplier, moving the end date from 31 March 2018 to 30 June 2018. It was the first of several extensions granted while the Government considered how to redesign section 9(4) rather than let it revive in its original sweeping form.
Why this matters: For any Chennai scrutiny covering the first quarter of 2018-19, this notification confirms that unregistered purchases still attracted no reverse charge liability.
Tamil Nadu Water Investment Company Ltd - AAR Tamil Nadu, advance ruling reported at 2019 (2) TMI 187 · 2019
The Chennai company provided management consultancy and detailed project report services to the Chennai Metro Water Supply and Sewerage Board for water related projects. It asked whether the service attracted GST. The Authority held that the supply was a pure service with no supply of goods involved, rendered in relation to a function entrusted to a municipality, and was therefore exempt from GST under the entry covering pure services supplied to government and local authorities.
What to do about it: Chennai consultants on government water and civic projects should test the pure services exemption before adding GST to their invoices.
