Sembium straddles Paper Mills Road, Madhavaram High Road and Erukkancheri High Road, feeding the Perambur Carriage Works with fabrication shops, rubber and hosiery units, hardware and timber dealers. Bunder Garden Main Street, Melpatti Ponappa Street and Market Street hold provision wholesalers, sweet stalls and lorry booking agents, and the Carriage Works Road sheds house body builders. Transporters issuing consignment notes, reverse charge on freight and e-way bill expiry on Moolakadai bound loads are the standing pain points. For businesses here, staying on the right side of GST is not optional — buyers check compliance, and the department's systems match every return. Our firm provides GSTR-1 & GSTR-3B Monthly Filing to clients across Sembium and neighbouring Perambur and Agaram, combining Chennai jurisdiction familiarity with disciplined deadline tracking. Whether you run a shop, a service practice or a growing trading concern, we handle the portal work so you can stay focused on the business itself.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
Goods sent to job workers must move on delivery challans, return within the statutory period, and be reported in ITC-04. We track every outward and return leg for manufacturing clients in Sembium, so inputs sent out for processing never quietly convert into a deemed supply carrying tax and interest.
Your sales figures, supplier lists and login credentials are handled only by our engaged team, stored securely and never shared with any third party. Many of our clients in Sembium compete with each other; complete confidentiality is a condition of our work.
GSTR-1 requires four-digit HSN reporting for turnover up to Rs.5 crore and six digits above it, and a wrong code often means a wrong rate. We verify the classification of what you actually supply, so your invoices and returns rest on defensible codes.
We work with Chennai GST ranges and circles every week, including the jurisdiction covering Sembium. We know how local proper officers examine registrations, what supporting documents they routinely call for, and how to present a file so it moves without repeated queries.
GSTR-3B late fees run at Rs.50 per day and interest at 18 percent per annum on unpaid tax. Our internal cut-offs sit days ahead of statutory due dates precisely so that our clients never hand the department a rupee they did not owe.
GST is confusing enough without a language barrier. Our team explains notices, tax positions and filing requirements in plain Tamil or English, whichever you and your staff in Sembium are comfortable with, and keeps written communication simple and jargon-free.
At month end we remind you and collect sales invoices, purchase bills and credit notes in whatever format you maintain, including Excel, Tally exports or scanned copies.
We prepare invoice-wise outward supply details, validate GSTINs of your B2B customers, summarise B2C supplies and file GSTR-1 on the portal before the 11th.
We download your auto-drafted GSTR-2B, match it against purchase records, and claim only eligible input tax credit so that mismatches do not trigger scrutiny notices later.
We compute net tax payable after ITC set-off, share the working with you for approval, and generate the payment challan for any cash liability.
After your confirmation and tax payment, we file GSTR-3B before the 20th and send you both filed acknowledgements along with a one-page summary of the month.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: Filed before the 11th and 20th of every month · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided

Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
When a business winds up, proper cancellation and a timely final return ensure the file is genuinely closed, so no demand or late-fee computation resurfaces against you long after the shutters came down.
Tax positions, rate choices and credit calls are documented as they are made, so if a question arises years later, the reasoning and evidence are on file rather than in someone's fading memory.
Your scheme choice — regular, composition or QRMP — is re-examined as turnover and margins change, so you are always paying under the structure that legitimately costs your business the least.
Correct e-way bills matched to correct invoices mean your consignments clear roadside inspections cleanly, avoiding detention proceedings whose penalties can far exceed the tax on the goods being carried.
Amounts deducted by government buyers as GST TDS and by marketplaces as TCS are accepted on the portal each period, so money withheld against your GSTIN actually reaches your cash ledger instead of lying unclaimed.
Consistent, reconciled returns give the department's matching systems nothing to flag. Clients who move to us after years of self-filing typically see scrutiny queries and mismatch notices fall away within a few filing cycles.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Time cost | Roughly an hour a month to send data and approve drafts; the portal work, reconciliation and follow-up are ours. | Hours every month lost to portal errors, JSON files, OTP failures and reworking figures — usually on the due date itself. |
| When a notice arrives | A professional drafts the reply in the department's format and files it within the statutory window, such as thirty days for ASMT-11. | You face departmental language alone, and a missed reply deadline can convert a simple query into a demand with penalty. |
| Risk of notices | GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-2B reconciled before filing, removing the mismatches that trigger most scrutiny notices. | Inconsistent figures across returns quietly build a mismatch history that surfaces later as ASMT-10 scrutiny or a demand notice. |
| Input tax credit | Purchase register matched against GSTR-2B each period, with defaulting suppliers chased so eligible credit is actually captured. | Credit claimed from books alone; mismatches with GSTR-2B mean lost credit or excess claims that invite departmental queries. |
| Refund claims | RFD-01 filed with complete statements and annexures, tracked from ARN to bank credit, with any deficiency memo answered promptly. | Incomplete claims bounce back as deficiency memos while the refund sits unclaimed for months and working capital stays blocked. |
| Keeping up with changes | Rate changes, portal updates and new thresholds such as the Rs.5 crore e-invoice limit are tracked by us and applied to your case proactively. | Changes are discovered after the fact — often through a rejected filing, a blocked e-way bill or a departmental letter. |
Melpatti Ponappa Street is a secondary arterial road in Sembium, about 1.6 km south-east of the centre of Sembium. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — Vadivelu Mudali Street (about 350 m); Bharathi Road (about 550 m); Erukkancheri High Road (about 700 m); Muniappan Street (about 850 m) — so a site visit on Melpatti Ponappa Street can usually be combined with other work in Sembium on the same trip. For GST purposes an address on Melpatti Ponappa Street falls under the Chennai North CGST Commissionerate, and the Sembium pincode is 600011.

GSTN Advisory, January 2024 — introduction of Tables 14 and 15 in GSTR-1 and the Invoice Furnishing Facility · 2024-01
From the January 2024 tax period, GSTR-1 and the Invoice Furnishing Facility carry two additional tables. Table 14 is filed by the seller and splits supplies made through an e-commerce operator between those on which the operator collects tax at source under Section 52 and those on which the operator itself pays tax under Section 9(5). Table 15 is filed by the e-commerce operator for supplies on which it discharges the tax under Section 9(5).
What to do about it: Sellers on marketplaces must map each order to the correct table, because mismatches here drive notices on tax collected at source credit.
Notification Nos. 15/2025 & 16/2025-Central Tax (Rate) · 2025-09-17
Alongside the goods schedule, CBIC issued companion notifications for services effective 22 September 2025, Notification 15/2025-Central Tax (Rate) superseding the services rate notification 11/2017 and Notification 16/2025-Central Tax (Rate) carrying the services exemptions. Individual life insurance and individual health insurance policies, including family floater and senior citizen policies, along with their reinsurance, were fully exempted from GST. Service rates were realigned to the two-slab structure, and the treatment of local delivery services provided through e-commerce operators was clarified within the package.
How we apply it: Insurance premiums for individual policies carry no GST from 22 September 2025, and service businesses should re-examine their rate positions under the restructured schedules.
Osram Surya (P) Ltd v. Commissioner of Central Excise, Indore — Supreme Court, (2002) 9 SCC 20, judgment dated 02-05-2002 · 2002-05-02
The Supreme Court held that a rule prescribing a period within which credit must be taken from the date of the invoice does not take away any vested right. It merely regulates the manner and time of availing the credit, which the legislature is entitled to do. A taxpayer who fails to take the credit within the prescribed window loses the benefit. This reasoning supports the time limit in Section 16(4) of the CGST Act.
What to do about it: Chennai businesses should reconcile purchase registers with GSTR-2B every month and claim credit within the deadline, as belated claims are generally lost.
