Whether you are a first-time registrant or an established trader, GST Notice Reply in Tiruvottiyur deserves a specialist rather than a side job. From Rs.2,999, our GST-focused Chennai practice runs the entire process on written checklists and senior-reviewed submissions.
We serve businesses on and around Vanniar Street — document pickup, in-person consultation at our Porur office, or fully online over WhatsApp.
Share your number — a senior GST consultant calls you back within 30 minutes.
GST does not distinguish between a large showroom and a small service unit — the due dates and matching systems apply equally to both. Tiruvottiyur is North Chennai's old factory belt, where engineering, chemical and consumer goods plants sit along Thiruvottiyur High Road and Ennore High Road near the Vadivudai Amman temple, with scrap yards and transport contractors filling the side lanes towards Sathangadu. Units crossing Rs.5 crore turnover must issue e-invoices, and freight-heavy dispatches make reverse charge on goods transport agency bills a monthly checkpoint. That is why our GST Notice Reply engagements in Tiruvottiyur follow the same discipline whatever the client's size: written checklists, reconciliation before filing and every acknowledgement archived. Businesses from Ennore and Manali run on the same process, entirely over WhatsApp if they prefer.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
The annual return and, where turnover crosses Rs.5 crore, the self-certified reconciliation statement in GSTR-9C are prepared by the same team that filed your monthly returns. Nothing about your year has to be rediscovered or explained to a stranger in December.
We work with Chennai GST ranges and circles every week, including the jurisdiction covering Tiruvottiyur. We know how local proper officers examine registrations, what supporting documents they routinely call for, and how to present a file so it moves without repeated queries.
New GSTIN applications, core field amendments through REG-14, additional places of business — we prepare complete, query-resistant applications the first time. Clean paperwork is the difference between smooth approval and weeks lost answering clarification memos from the department.
If your GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B start drifting apart, if a large supplier stops filing, or if your turnover approaches the e-invoice threshold, we flag it to you immediately. Early warnings from our side are cheaper than departmental letters later.
Traders, manufacturers, contractors, e-commerce sellers, professionals and service exporters — we have handled GST for all of them. Whatever mix of goods and services your Tiruvottiyur business supplies, the rate, classification and place-of-supply questions have almost certainly crossed our desk before.
Composition dealers have their own rulebook — CMP-08 every quarter, GSTR-4 annually by 30 June, bills of supply instead of tax invoices, and a turnover ceiling that must be watched. We handle each of these correctly so the scheme's simplicity never turns into a violation.
We read the notice line by line, identify the section invoked, the periods covered, the exact information sought and the deadline for response.
The figures alleged in the notice are reconciled against your filed returns, GSTR-2B and books, so the reply is grounded in verifiable numbers rather than assertions.
We draft a professional, point-wise reply addressing every allegation, attaching reconciliations, invoices and legal support, and share the draft with you for approval.
The approved reply is filed on the portal within the deadline. Where a small genuine liability exists, we advise payment through DRC-03 to limit interest and penalty.
We monitor the portal for the officer's response, attend to any further queries or hearing dates, and pursue the matter until a closure or order is received.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: Draft reply in 3-5 working days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Because monthly data is reconciled as it happens, GSTR-9 preparation before the 31 December due date becomes a review exercise rather than a painful reconstruction of twelve untidy months.
Where a genuine error is found in a past period, voluntary payment through DRC-03 before any notice issues closes the matter at minimal cost, instead of letting it ripen into a demand with penalty.
Each period you receive a simple computation showing output tax, credit utilised and net cash payable, so GST becomes a number you understand and question rather than a figure you accept blindly.
Late-fee waivers and amnesty windows notified by the GST Council are applied to your history within their deadlines, capturing reliefs that most businesses only hear about once the window has already closed.
Advances received for services attract GST on receipt while advances for goods generally do not; applying this distinction correctly means you neither prepay tax unnecessarily nor omit a liability that surfaces later with interest.
Your scheme choice — regular, composition or QRMP — is re-examined as turnover and margins change, so you are always paying under the structure that legitimately costs your business the least.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Registration and amendments | Query-resistant applications prepared correctly the first time, with supporting documents matched to what proper officers actually verify. | Repeated clarification memos and resubmissions, with weeks lost because a rent agreement or premises photograph did not meet expectations. |
| When a notice arrives | A professional drafts the reply in the department's format and files it within the statutory window, such as thirty days for ASMT-11. | You face departmental language alone, and a missed reply deadline can convert a simple query into a demand with penalty. |
| Late fees and interest | Filings go in ahead of statutory dates, so the Rs.50-per-day late fee and 18 percent interest never arise. | Late fees accumulate silently every delayed day, and interest on unpaid tax runs at 18 percent per annum. |
| Portal credentials and data | Logins handled by a small engaged team under strict confidentiality, with credentials stored securely and never passed onward. | Passwords circulating on chats with freelancers and part-timers, and no accountability for who has accessed your business data. |
| Annual return preparation | Monthly reconciliations roll naturally into GSTR-9, filed comfortably before 31 December with figures already agreed through the year. | Twelve months of unmatched data reconstructed in December, with differences discovered too late to be corrected cleanly. |
| Time cost | Roughly an hour a month to send data and approve drafts; the portal work, reconciliation and follow-up are ours. | Hours every month lost to portal errors, JSON files, OTP failures and reworking figures — usually on the due date itself. |
Vanniar Street is a residential street in Tiruvottiyur, about 500 m south of the centre of Tiruvottiyur. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — Kavarai Street (about 100 m); Eluthukaran Street (about 250 m); Sattangadu High Road (about 450 m); LIG Colony 1st Street (about 450 m) — so a site visit on Vanniar Street can usually be combined with other work in Tiruvottiyur on the same trip. For GST purposes an address on Vanniar Street falls under the Chennai North CGST Commissionerate, and the Tiruvottiyur pincode is 600019.

Mahadeo Construction Co. v. Union of India — Jharkhand High Court, W.P.(T) No. 3517 of 2019, judgment dated 21 April 2020, reported at [2020] 116 taxmann.com 262 (Jharkhand) · 2020-04-21
The department issued recovery notices for interest under Section 50 without any adjudication, treating the interest as automatically payable. The High Court held that although interest liability under Section 50 is automatic in principle, its computation and quantum are not. Where the taxpayer disputes the liability, the department must first initiate adjudication proceedings under Section 73 or 74 and pass an order before resorting to recovery under Section 79.
What it means for you: A bare recovery letter for interest, without a show cause notice and order, can be challenged if you genuinely dispute the amount.
46th GST Council Meeting, New Delhi — 31 December 2021 · 2021-12-31
The 46th meeting was convened on the last day of 2021 with essentially one outcome. The Council recommended deferring the decision to change the rates in textiles that had been recommended at the 45th meeting, so that the existing rates in the textile sector would continue beyond 1 January 2022. The reversal came after sustained representations from textile states and the trade that the increase from 5 to 12 per cent would raise costs for consumers and unorganised weavers. The footwear rate increase, however, went ahead as planned.
Why this matters: Textile traders in Chennai and across Tamil Nadu continued at five per cent from January 2022, but footwear moved to twelve per cent, so the two sectors diverged from that date.
Notification No. 4/2025-Central Tax (Rate), dated 16 January 2025 (G.S.R. 59(E)) · 2025-01-16
The 55th GST Council recommended a single rate for the second-hand vehicle trade, and this notification raised the concessional rate on old and used motor vehicles, including electric vehicles, from twelve per cent to eighteen per cent. The tax continues to be charged only on the supplier's margin, and the levy still applies only where the seller is registered and is dealing in such vehicles; a sale by one individual to another remains outside GST altogether.
How we apply it: Used-car dealerships in Chennai charge eighteen per cent on the margin from 16 January 2025, while private person-to-person sales attract no GST.

Upload the PDF to our free GST Notice Analyser. It identifies which of 34 notice types you have, pulls out the DIN, GSTIN and tax period, reads the reply date printed on the notice and tells you plainly whether that date has already passed — along with the documents and reconciliations you will need. No payment, no account. If the notice does not state a date we can read, it says so rather than guessing one for you.
