The 11th and the 20th arrive every month whether you are ready or not. Our Chennai team keeps businesses in Palavakkam permanently ahead of both, delivering Departmental Audit Support from Rs.9,999 with reconciliation, senior review and WhatsApp acknowledgements as standard.

Every locality in Chennai has its own commercial rhythm, and Palavakkam is no exception. Palavakkam combines a working fishing hamlet around the Palavakkam Fish Market with East Coast Road retail, including seafood traders, furniture and hardware showrooms, bakeries, tuition centres and homestays along M.G.R. Road, Periyar Salai and Sea Shell Avenue. Exempt fresh-fish supply sitting alongside taxable processed and restaurant sales makes common-credit reversal under Rule 42 the standing compliance headache here. Our practice has shaped its Departmental Audit Support work around exactly these realities, serving clients in Palavakkam as well as Kottivakkam and Neelankarai. Registrations, returns, refunds and notice replies are handled by one accountable team, with fees fixed in writing before work begins and every filing reconciled against portal data before it is submitted.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
New GSTIN applications, core field amendments through REG-14, additional places of business — we prepare complete, query-resistant applications the first time. Clean paperwork is the difference between smooth approval and weeks lost answering clarification memos from the department.
We are a Chennai firm with a physical office, not a faceless portal. If you prefer to sit across a table with your papers, you are welcome. Clients from Palavakkam regularly visit us for registrations, notice discussions and annual return reviews.
Sellers on Amazon, Flipkart and other marketplaces face a three-way match between marketplace reports, GSTR-1 and the TCS the operator deposits against your GSTIN. We reconcile all three every period and accept the TCS credit, so sellers in Palavakkam never leave marketplace deductions unclaimed.
GSTR-1 requires four-digit HSN reporting for turnover up to Rs.5 crore and six digits above it, and a wrong code often means a wrong rate. We verify the classification of what you actually supply, so your invoices and returns rest on defensible codes.
In the days before the 11th and the 20th, our team runs extended hours and a strict internal queue, so a client who sends data late in the window is still filed on time. Peak-season crush at our end never becomes a late fee at yours.
A new GSTIN comes with obligations nobody explains at approval — the invoice series rules, displaying the registration certificate and GSTIN at your premises, and the first return cycle. We walk new registrants in Palavakkam through each of these so month one starts correctly.
We study ADT-01 and its annexure, agree a records timetable with the audit officer where needed, and plan the engagement around the periods selected.
Before the team arrives we reconcile turnover, tax and ITC for every audit year, identifying weak areas and preparing explanations and supporting papers in advance.
Documents are compiled, indexed and submitted in an organised form, which shortens verification and signals that the taxpayer's records are dependable.
Each audit enquiry and observation memo receives a written, evidence-backed reply, and we discuss contentious points with the audit team before findings are finalised.
We review ADT-02, arrange DRC-03 payment for accepted points to limit penalty, and prepare the defence file for any finding likely to become a demand notice.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: Engagement runs through the audit, typically 1-3 months · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
When a business winds up, proper cancellation and a timely final return ensure the file is genuinely closed, so no demand or late-fee computation resurfaces against you long after the shutters came down.
E-commerce platforms continuously validate seller GSTINs and filing status. A consistently compliant registration keeps your listings active and settlements flowing, with no sudden suspension of your online sales channel.
Your scheme choice — regular, composition or QRMP — is re-examined as turnover and margins change, so you are always paying under the structure that legitimately costs your business the least.
We spot suppliers who stop uploading invoices or filing returns and alert you before their default becomes your blocked credit, letting you recover amounts or switch vendors while the exposure is still small.
When GST knowledge lives inside a single staff member, their resignation becomes a compliance crisis. With our firm as the standing process, your filings continue uninterrupted regardless of internal staff changes.
Getting IGST versus CGST and SGST right at the invoice stage spares you the painful cycle of paying the correct head again and pursuing a refund of the amount paid under the wrong one.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Record keeping | Every return, challan, acknowledgement and working paper archived in an organised folder, retrievable in minutes years later. | Documents scattered across email, downloads and old phones; assembling records for a bank or an audit takes days. |
| Time cost | Roughly an hour a month to send data and approve drafts; the portal work, reconciliation and follow-up are ours. | Hours every month lost to portal errors, JSON files, OTP failures and reworking figures — usually on the due date itself. |
| Late fees and interest | Filings go in ahead of statutory dates, so the Rs.50-per-day late fee and 18 percent interest never arise. | Late fees accumulate silently every delayed day, and interest on unpaid tax runs at 18 percent per annum. |
| Risk of notices | GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-2B reconciled before filing, removing the mismatches that trigger most scrutiny notices. | Inconsistent figures across returns quietly build a mismatch history that surfaces later as ASMT-10 scrutiny or a demand notice. |
| Due-date tracking | A maintained compliance calendar with internal cut-offs days before the 11th and the 20th; we chase you for data, not the other way around. | Deadlines remembered from memory or phone alarms; one busy week and the return slips past the due date. |
| Input tax credit | Purchase register matched against GSTR-2B each period, with defaulting suppliers chased so eligible credit is actually captured. | Credit claimed from books alone; mismatches with GSTR-2B mean lost credit or excess claims that invite departmental queries. |
GST law moves through notifications, circulars and court decisions. These are the ones changing how filings are prepared right now.
Deem Distributors (P) Ltd v. Union of India — Telangana High Court, Writ Petition No. 7063 of 2021, decided 3 August 2021 · 2021-08-03
During a search and investigation the officers pressed the taxpayer to reverse credit and pay tax before any notice was issued. The High Court held that Section 74(5) merely gives the taxpayer an option to pay voluntarily; it does not empower officers to demand or coerce payment before a show cause notice. Raising a demand while the investigation is incomplete was held to be arbitrary and without jurisdiction, and refund of the amounts collected was directed.
What it means for you: You are not obliged to pay anything during a search or investigation; any payment should be a considered decision taken after advice, not on the spot.
Circular No. 33/07/2018-GST dated 23 February 2018 · 2018-02-23
CBIC directed that disputed credit, meaning CENVAT credit which the last adjudication order or the last order-in-appeal as it stood on 1 July 2017 had held to be inadmissible, must not be utilised to discharge liability under the CGST or IGST Act for as long as that order remains in existence, and that if it is used it will be recovered with interest and penalty. The same direction was given for blocked credit, that is credit carried forward under section 140(1) even though it is ineligible under section 17(5), the examples given being telecommunication towers and pipelines laid outside the factory premises.
How we apply it: Businesses that carried forward disputed excise or service tax credit into GST should keep the underlying orders and appeal papers ready, and should not set that credit off against output tax while an adverse order stands.
18th GST Council Meeting, New Delhi — 30 June 2017 (Signed Minutes, Agenda Item 3) · 2017-06-30
Meeting on the day GST was launched, the Council revisited the rate on fertilisers. Officers calculated the pre-GST incidence at about 9.75 per cent, placing fertilisers between the five and twelve per cent slabs. After almost every State supported relief for farmers, the Chairperson recorded a consensus and the Council agreed to tax fertilisers at five per cent instead of twelve, notwithstanding the inverted duty refund burden this would create for manufacturers whose inputs were taxed at eighteen per cent.
What to do about it: The Council reopened a rate it had already fixed only weeks earlier, and the cut created the inverted duty structure that fertiliser dealers still claim refunds under.

Upload the PDF to our free GST Notice Analyser. It identifies which of 34 notice types you have, pulls out the DIN, GSTIN and tax period, reads the reply date printed on the notice and tells you plainly whether that date has already passed — along with the documents and reconciliations you will need. No payment, no account. If the notice does not state a date we can read, it says so rather than guessing one for you.
