Get New GST Registration done right in Madhavaram without portal struggles or missed deadlines. Our Chennai-based consultants manage the entire process from Rs.1,499, with same-day responses and every submission checked by a senior practitioner before it is filed.
We serve businesses on and around Puthagaram — document pickup, in-person consultation at our Porur office, or fully online over WhatsApp.
Share your number — a senior GST consultant calls you back within 30 minutes.
Madhavaram combines the CMDA truck terminal on Grand Northern Trunk Road, the historic Milk Colony dairy belt and rows of godowns and timber depots along Madhavaram High Road and the Inner Ring Road. Transporters and warehouse operators here deal constantly with reverse charge on freight and must register every godown as an additional place of business, which many miss until a notice arrives. From a first registration to the annual return, the full range of New GST Registration is available to Madhavaram businesses without stepping far from the shop or office — documents travel over WhatsApp, and our Chennai premises are open to anyone who prefers a face-to-face discussion. We serve Kolathur and Manali on the same footing, applying one rule everywhere: reconcile before filing, file before the due date, and keep the client informed at every stage.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
Send your query on call or WhatsApp and you hear back the same working day, usually within a few hours. When a due date is close or a notice has landed, waiting two days for a reply is simply not acceptable, and we know it.
Goods sent to job workers must move on delivery challans, return within the statutory period, and be reported in ITC-04. We track every outward and return leg for manufacturing clients in Madhavaram, so inputs sent out for processing never quietly convert into a deemed supply carrying tax and interest.
GST is confusing enough without a language barrier. Our team explains notices, tax positions and filing requirements in plain Tamil or English, whichever you and your staff in Madhavaram are comfortable with, and keeps written communication simple and jargon-free.
We are a Chennai firm with a physical office, not a faceless portal. If you prefer to sit across a table with your papers, you are welcome. Clients from Madhavaram regularly visit us for registrations, notice discussions and annual return reviews.
When an ADT-01 audit intimation or a personal hearing date arrives, we compile the records, prepare the reconciliations and draft the submissions, and coordinate closely with your authorised representative. You walk into the proceeding prepared, not improvising in front of an officer.
Composition dealers have their own rulebook — CMP-08 every quarter, GSTR-4 annually by 30 June, bills of supply instead of tax invoices, and a turnover ceiling that must be watched. We handle each of these correctly so the scheme's simplicity never turns into a violation.
You share PAN, Aadhaar, photographs, address proof and bank details over WhatsApp or email. We review each document against portal requirements and flag anything that could trigger an officer query.
We draft Form GST REG-01 with the correct business constitution, principal place of business, HSN or SAC codes and authorised signatory details, then share a summary for your confirmation.
The application is filed on the GST portal and we guide the authorised signatory through Aadhaar OTP authentication, which speeds up approval and usually avoids physical verification of premises.
We track the ARN daily. If the officer issues a notice in Form REG-03 seeking clarification, we draft and file the reply in Form REG-04 within the permitted time.
Once approved, we download your registration certificate in Form REG-06, help set up portal login credentials, and brief you on invoice format, return due dates and e-way bill obligations.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: 3-7 working days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Late-fee waivers and amnesty windows notified by the GST Council are applied to your history within their deadlines, capturing reliefs that most businesses only hear about once the window has already closed.
Continuous filing protects you from the suspension and cancellation proceedings that hit chronic non-filers, so your registration, e-way bill access and ability to issue tax invoices are never suddenly cut off.
When a business winds up, proper cancellation and a timely final return ensure the file is genuinely closed, so no demand or late-fee computation resurfaces against you long after the shutters came down.
Interest on delayed GST payment runs at 18 percent per annum, which is costlier than most working capital finance. Timely computation and payment through our calendar keeps that meter permanently at zero.
When a query or verification comes, you respond through a professional who deals with the department regularly, in the department's own language and format, instead of facing an officer's letter alone.
Getting IGST versus CGST and SGST right at the invoice stage spares you the painful cycle of paying the correct head again and pursuing a refund of the amount paid under the wrong one.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Refund claims | RFD-01 filed with complete statements and annexures, tracked from ARN to bank credit, with any deficiency memo answered promptly. | Incomplete claims bounce back as deficiency memos while the refund sits unclaimed for months and working capital stays blocked. |
| Late fees and interest | Filings go in ahead of statutory dates, so the Rs.50-per-day late fee and 18 percent interest never arise. | Late fees accumulate silently every delayed day, and interest on unpaid tax runs at 18 percent per annum. |
| Input tax credit | Purchase register matched against GSTR-2B each period, with defaulting suppliers chased so eligible credit is actually captured. | Credit claimed from books alone; mismatches with GSTR-2B mean lost credit or excess claims that invite departmental queries. |
| Risk of notices | GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-2B reconciled before filing, removing the mismatches that trigger most scrutiny notices. | Inconsistent figures across returns quietly build a mismatch history that surfaces later as ASMT-10 scrutiny or a demand notice. |
| Keeping up with changes | Rate changes, portal updates and new thresholds such as the Rs.5 crore e-invoice limit are tracked by us and applied to your case proactively. | Changes are discovered after the fact — often through a rejected filing, a blocked e-way bill or a departmental letter. |
| Annual return preparation | Monthly reconciliations roll naturally into GSTR-9, filed comfortably before 31 December with figures already agreed through the year. | Twelve months of unmatched data reconstructed in December, with differences discovered too late to be corrected cleanly. |

Thai Mookambikaa Ladies Hostel v. Union of India — Madras High Court, W.P. No. 28486 of 2023, judgment dated 22 March 2024 (reversing the Tamil Nadu AAR) · 2024-03-22
The Tamil Nadu AAR held that hostel accommodation provided to college students and working women is not renting of a residential dwelling for use as residence, so the exemption did not apply and GST was payable. On writ, the Madras High Court reversed that view on 22 March 2024, holding that hostel rooms occupied by girl students and working women as their residence qualify for the exemption for renting of residential dwelling under Entry 12 of Notification No. 12/2017-Central Tax (Rate), and observing that the legislature never intended to burden such occupants with tax.
Why this matters: Hostel and PG operators in Tamil Nadu can rely on the Madras High Court ruling for exemption, but should document residential use of every room.
Notification No. 14/2020-Central Tax · 2020-03-21
Registered persons with aggregate turnover above Rs 500 crore were required to print a dynamic quick response code on invoices issued to unregistered consumers, so that the customer could scan and pay digitally. Where the payment is made through a prescribed dynamic QR code, the cross-reference of that payment on the invoice is treated as compliance. The same exclusions as e-invoicing apply. The start date was pushed from 1 April 2020 to 1 October 2020 and then to 1 December 2020.
Why this matters: Only very large retailers are covered, so an ordinary Chennai shop or restaurant has no dynamic QR code obligation on its cash-counter bills.
22nd GST Council Meeting, New Delhi — 6 October 2017 (PIB Release ID 1505133) · 2017-10-06
The Council raised the composition scheme threshold from Rs 75 lakh to Rs 1 crore of annual aggregate turnover, and from Rs 50 lakh to Rs 75 lakh for Special Category States other than Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand, which were given Rs 1 crore. Both migrated and new taxpayers could opt in under the higher threshold up to 31 March 2018, with the option becoming operational from the first day of the month following the month in which it was exercised.
What to do about it: This brought a large part of Chennai's small trading and restaurant sector within reach of quarterly composition filing instead of monthly returns.
