Whether you are a first-time registrant or an established trader, GST Notice Reply in Red Hills deserves a specialist rather than a side job. From Rs.2,999, our GST-focused Chennai practice runs the entire process on written checklists and senior-reviewed submissions.
We serve businesses on and around Abdul Maraikkyar Street — document pickup, in-person consultation at our Porur office, or fully online over WhatsApp.
Share your number — a senior GST consultant calls you back within 30 minutes.
Red Hills, at the junction of Grand Northern Trunk Road and the Outer Ring Road beside the Puzhal reservoir, remains Chennai's paddy and rice milling centre, ringed by timber depots, brick suppliers and lorry yards in Puzhal and Padiyanallur. Millers must track the split between exempt loose rice and 5 per cent pre-packaged labelled rice, and reverse proportionate input tax credit on exempt turnover. From a first registration to the annual return, the full range of GST Notice Reply is available to Red Hills businesses without stepping far from the shop or office — documents travel over WhatsApp, and our Chennai premises are open to anyone who prefers a face-to-face discussion. We serve Madhavaram and Puzhal on the same footing, applying one rule everywhere: reconcile before filing, file before the due date, and keep the client informed at every stage.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
Your cash ledger, credit ledger and liability register are reviewed regularly, not just at filing time. Excess balances are flagged for use or refund, and where a genuine slip surfaces, a voluntary payment through DRC-03 settles it before it can mature into a notice.
A registration cancelled for non-filing is not the end of the road. We bring the pending returns up to date, clear the dues and file the revocation application in REG-21 within the permitted window, restoring suspended and cancelled GSTINs to active status.
If your GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B start drifting apart, if a large supplier stops filing, or if your turnover approaches the e-invoice threshold, we flag it to you immediately. Early warnings from our side are cheaper than departmental letters later.
Most GST notices trace back to mismatches between GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-2B. We reconcile these before filing, not after a notice arrives, so your returns are internally consistent and the most common triggers for ASMT-10 scrutiny simply never appear.
Tally, Zoho Books, Busy, marketplace reports, plain Excel or even a handwritten bill book — we take your data in whatever form your Red Hills business already maintains it. You are never forced to buy new software or retrain staff just to become our client.
The annual return and, where turnover crosses Rs.5 crore, the self-certified reconciliation statement in GSTR-9C are prepared by the same team that filed your monthly returns. Nothing about your year has to be rediscovered or explained to a stranger in December.
We read the notice line by line, identify the section invoked, the periods covered, the exact information sought and the deadline for response.
The figures alleged in the notice are reconciled against your filed returns, GSTR-2B and books, so the reply is grounded in verifiable numbers rather than assertions.
We draft a professional, point-wise reply addressing every allegation, attaching reconciliations, invoices and legal support, and share the draft with you for approval.
The approved reply is filed on the portal within the deadline. Where a small genuine liability exists, we advise payment through DRC-03 to limit interest and penalty.
We monitor the portal for the officer's response, attend to any further queries or hearing dates, and pursue the matter until a closure or order is received.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: Draft reply in 3-5 working days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
E-commerce platforms continuously validate seller GSTINs and filing status. A consistently compliant registration keeps your listings active and settlements flowing, with no sudden suspension of your online sales channel.
Sales returns, discounts and price revisions are adjusted through properly reported credit notes within the statutory window, so you never keep paying tax on turnover you have already reversed.
With returns filed ahead of the statutory due dates every period, the Rs.50-per-day GSTR-3B late fee simply stops appearing in your life, and the money stays in your business where it belongs.
New branches, new product lines and interstate sales all carry GST consequences. With standing professional support, you expand knowing registrations, invoicing and returns will keep pace with the business.
When a query or verification comes, you respond through a professional who deals with the department regularly, in the department's own language and format, instead of facing an officer's letter alone.
Where a genuine error is found in a past period, voluntary payment through DRC-03 before any notice issues closes the matter at minimal cost, instead of letting it ripen into a demand with penalty.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Supplier defaults | Suppliers who stop uploading invoices are identified within the period and pursued before their default becomes your blocked credit. | Missing supplier invoices surface only when credit is denied, by which time recovering the amount from the vendor is difficult. |
| Late fees and interest | Filings go in ahead of statutory dates, so the Rs.50-per-day late fee and 18 percent interest never arise. | Late fees accumulate silently every delayed day, and interest on unpaid tax runs at 18 percent per annum. |
| Input tax credit | Purchase register matched against GSTR-2B each period, with defaulting suppliers chased so eligible credit is actually captured. | Credit claimed from books alone; mismatches with GSTR-2B mean lost credit or excess claims that invite departmental queries. |
| Time cost | Roughly an hour a month to send data and approve drafts; the portal work, reconciliation and follow-up are ours. | Hours every month lost to portal errors, JSON files, OTP failures and reworking figures — usually on the due date itself. |
| Keeping up with changes | Rate changes, portal updates and new thresholds such as the Rs.5 crore e-invoice limit are tracked by us and applied to your case proactively. | Changes are discovered after the fact — often through a rejected filing, a blocked e-way bill or a departmental letter. |
| Due-date tracking | A maintained compliance calendar with internal cut-offs days before the 11th and the 20th; we chase you for data, not the other way around. | Deadlines remembered from memory or phone alarms; one busy week and the return slips past the due date. |
Abdul Maraikkyar Street is a residential street in Red Hills, about 700 m north of the centre of Red Hills. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — TVK Street (about 0 m); Ambedkar Street (about 250 m); PWD Office Street (about 400 m); Grand North Trunk Service Road (about 700 m) — so a site visit on Abdul Maraikkyar Street can usually be combined with other work in Red Hills on the same trip. For GST purposes an address on Abdul Maraikkyar Street falls under the Chennai Outer CGST Commissionerate, and the Red Hills pincode is 600052.

We track every notification, circular and judgment that changes a filing position, so your returns and replies reflect the current law.
Navbharat Imports - AAR Tamil Nadu, Advance Ruling No. 35/AAR/2021, dated 30 September 2021 · 2021-09-30
The importer sold a range of children's toys, some containing electronic circuits and some working purely mechanically. It asked for the correct rate on each. The Authority held that toys containing electronic components attract 18 percent under the residual entry for electronic toys, irrespective of how those components are used, so children's scooters and smart tricycles with lights and music are taxed at 18 percent, while toys that work without electronics remain at 12 percent.
What to do about it: Chennai toy traders must classify item by item, because a single electronic component moves a product from 12 to 18 percent.
Notification No. 89/2020-Central Tax · 2020-11-29
Recognising that large suppliers needed time to configure their billing systems, CBIC waived the penalty under Section 125 for failure to comply with the dynamic QR code requirement on business-to-consumer invoices issued between 1 December 2020 and 31 March 2021. The waiver was conditional on the supplier complying with the requirement from 1 April 2021 onwards. Similar conditional waivers were issued in later years as the deadline was pushed further.
What to do about it: The QR code obligation was effectively penalty-free during its first four months, which answers any penalty proposal for that transitional window.
Kompress India (P) Ltd v. Union of India — Madras High Court (Madurai Bench), W.P.(MD) No. 17461 of 2023, decided 1 August 2023 (S. Srimathy J.) · 2023-08-01
The goods travelled with a proper invoice and a valid e-way bill, yet were detained and penalised under Section 129. The Court quashed the order, holding that Section 129 proceedings cannot be launched when the prescribed documents are in fact produced, and that issuing the notice, conducting the inspection and passing the order all on one day denies the seven-day period to reply and violates natural justice. It also rejected the contention that the buyer needed GST registration, since liability rests on the supplier.
How we apply it: Chennai businesses should note the timestamps on detention paperwork — a same-day notice and order is itself a ground to have the Section 129 penalty set aside.

Upload the PDF to our free GST Notice Analyser. It identifies which of 34 notice types you have, pulls out the DIN, GSTIN and tax period, reads the reply date printed on the notice and tells you plainly whether that date has already passed — along with the documents and reconciliations you will need. No payment, no account. If the notice does not state a date we can read, it says so rather than guessing one for you.

The analyser reports what your notice says and the statutory position for that form. It is not a substitute for a consultant reading your actual records, and a reply should be reviewed before you file it.
