The 11th and the 20th arrive every month whether you are ready or not. Our Chennai team keeps businesses in Santhome permanently ahead of both, delivering New GST Registration from Rs.1,499 with reconciliation, senior review and WhatsApp acknowledgements as standard.
We serve businesses on and around Appu 2nd Lane — document pickup, in-person consultation at our Porur office, or fully online over WhatsApp.
Share your number — a senior GST consultant calls you back within 30 minutes.
Santhome stretches from the Light House end of Marina down Santhome High Road past San Thome Basilica, mixing schools such as St. Bede's, church-linked institutions, neighbourhood retail and the fishing settlement of Nochikuppam along Loop Road. Fresh fish sales are GST-exempt, but ice, packing and transport attract tax, so fisherfolk cooperatives and seafood sellers here need careful exempt-versus-taxable classification. That commercial character shapes the GST questions we see from Santhome every week — registrations, monthly returns, credit mismatches and departmental queries. We deliver New GST Registration for businesses in Santhome, and clients also reach us from Mylapore and Foreshore Estate nearby. Documents move over WhatsApp, drafts are approved before filing, and a senior consultant reviews every submission, so distance from our office never dilutes the quality of the work.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
We tell you when the composition scheme stops making sense, when QRMP suits your cash flow, and when a supplier's non-compliance is quietly costing you credit. Filing is the minimum; helping you make better GST decisions is the actual job.
A registration cancelled for non-filing is not the end of the road. We bring the pending returns up to date, clear the dues and file the revocation application in REG-21 within the permitted window, restoring suspended and cancelled GSTINs to active status.
No filing leaves our desk on a junior's judgement alone. A senior GST practitioner reviews your figures, ITC claims and tax computation before submission, so errors are caught at our table and not by the department months later through a notice.
GST is confusing enough without a language barrier. Our team explains notices, tax positions and filing requirements in plain Tamil or English, whichever you and your staff in Santhome are comfortable with, and keeps written communication simple and jargon-free.
We are a Chennai firm with a physical office, not a faceless portal. If you prefer to sit across a table with your papers, you are welcome. Clients from Santhome regularly visit us for registrations, notice discussions and annual return reviews.
A new GSTIN comes with obligations nobody explains at approval — the invoice series rules, displaying the registration certificate and GSTIN at your premises, and the first return cycle. We walk new registrants in Santhome through each of these so month one starts correctly.
You share PAN, Aadhaar, photographs, address proof and bank details over WhatsApp or email. We review each document against portal requirements and flag anything that could trigger an officer query.
We draft Form GST REG-01 with the correct business constitution, principal place of business, HSN or SAC codes and authorised signatory details, then share a summary for your confirmation.
The application is filed on the GST portal and we guide the authorised signatory through Aadhaar OTP authentication, which speeds up approval and usually avoids physical verification of premises.
We track the ARN daily. If the officer issues a notice in Form REG-03 seeking clarification, we draft and file the reply in Form REG-04 within the permitted time.
Once approved, we download your registration certificate in Form REG-06, help set up portal login credentials, and brief you on invoice format, return due dates and e-way bill obligations.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: 3-7 working days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Large buyers check vendor GST compliance before releasing payments and renewing contracts. A clean filing record with timely GSTR-1 uploads keeps your invoices reflecting in their GSTR-2B and your payments unblocked.
Interest on delayed GST payment runs at 18 percent per annum, which is costlier than most working capital finance. Timely computation and payment through our calendar keeps that meter permanently at zero.
With the LUT filed at the start of each financial year and refund claims tracked to credit, exporters supply without blocking funds in IGST and recover accumulated credit on schedule.
Advances received for services attract GST on receipt while advances for goods generally do not; applying this distinction correctly means you neither prepay tax unnecessarily nor omit a liability that surfaces later with interest.
Correct, complete tax invoices signal a well-run business to customers, vendors and banks alike, quietly strengthening your credibility in every transaction where your paperwork is seen.
A fixed professional fee is almost always cheaper than the combination of late fees, interest, lost credit and staff hours that informal, last-minute compliance quietly accumulates over a year.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Goods in transit | E-way bills generated correctly and matched to invoices, so consignments pass roadside inspections without detention or penalty. | A defective or missing e-way bill can mean detention at a checkpoint, with penalties that dwarf the tax on the consignment. |
| Supplier defaults | Suppliers who stop uploading invoices are identified within the period and pursued before their default becomes your blocked credit. | Missing supplier invoices surface only when credit is denied, by which time recovering the amount from the vendor is difficult. |
| Keeping up with changes | Rate changes, portal updates and new thresholds such as the Rs.5 crore e-invoice limit are tracked by us and applied to your case proactively. | Changes are discovered after the fact — often through a rejected filing, a blocked e-way bill or a departmental letter. |
| When a notice arrives | A professional drafts the reply in the department's format and files it within the statutory window, such as thirty days for ASMT-11. | You face departmental language alone, and a missed reply deadline can convert a simple query into a demand with penalty. |
| Annual return preparation | Monthly reconciliations roll naturally into GSTR-9, filed comfortably before 31 December with figures already agreed through the year. | Twelve months of unmatched data reconstructed in December, with differences discovered too late to be corrected cleanly. |
| Due-date tracking | A maintained compliance calendar with internal cut-offs days before the 11th and the 20th; we chase you for data, not the other way around. | Deadlines remembered from memory or phone alarms; one busy week and the return slips past the due date. |
Appu 2nd Lane is a residential street in Santhome. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — Appu Street 1st Lane (about 100 m); Muthu Street (about 150 m); Puthu Palli Street (about 150 m); Appu Street (about 150 m) — so a site visit on Appu 2nd Lane can usually be combined with other work in Santhome on the same trip. For GST purposes an address on Appu 2nd Lane falls under the Chennai North CGST Commissionerate, and the Santhome pincode is 600004.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd v. Union of India — Supreme Court, (2006) 3 SCC 1, judgment dated 02-03-2006 · 2006-03-02
The Supreme Court held that the same transaction may have a goods aspect and a service aspect, and different legislatures may tax different aspects, but the same element cannot be taxed twice. A composite contract cannot be split into goods and services except in the cases specifically permitted by Article 366(29A), such as works contracts and catering. The dominant nature test was applied to decide the character of the contract.
How we apply it: Chennai businesses with bundled offerings should determine the dominant character of the supply, since that decides classification and rate under GST.
Circular No. 245/02/2025-GST · 2025-01-28
Implementing 55th GST Council decisions, CBIC clarified that penal charges levied by banks and NBFCs for breach of loan terms, which replaced penal interest per RBI directions, are not consideration for any service and attract no GST. It also clarified that RBI-regulated payment aggregators are covered by the exemption for settlement of transactions up to Rs 2,000, and addressed other service-tax positions, regularising past periods on an as-is basis.
Why this matters: Borrowers should not accept GST charged on penal charges by lenders, and merchants using payment aggregators get relief on small-ticket settlement charges.
Notification No. 34/2023-Central Tax · 2023-07-31
With effect from 1 October 2023, persons making only intra-State supplies of goods through e-commerce operators were exempted from mandatory GST registration if their aggregate turnover stays within the threshold limit. Conditions include obtaining an enrolment number on the portal using PAN, operating in a single State or Union Territory, declaring the enrolment number to the platform, and not making inter-State supplies. Earlier, any online sale of goods forced immediate registration.
Practical effect: A small Chennai seller can now list goods on online marketplaces for Tamil Nadu customers without a GSTIN, provided they take the portal enrolment number and stay intra-State.
