Businesses in Sembium looking for GST Notice Reply want two things: work done correctly and someone answerable when questions come. Sembium straddles Paper Mills Road, Madhavaram High Road and Erukkancheri High Road, feeding the Perambur Carriage Works with fabrication shops, rubber and hosiery units, hardware and timber dealers. Bunder Garden Main Street, Melpatti Ponappa Street and Market Street hold provision wholesalers, sweet stalls and lorry booking agents, and the Carriage Works Road sheds house body builders. Transporters issuing consignment notes, reverse charge on freight and e-way bill expiry on Moolakadai bound loads are the standing pain points. We serve this belt — including Perambur and Agaram — with fixed fees quoted upfront, a written document checklist, and filings completed ahead of statutory due dates. Every acknowledgement is shared the day it is generated, and our support continues if the department raises any query on work we have filed.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
If your GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B start drifting apart, if a large supplier stops filing, or if your turnover approaches the e-invoice threshold, we flag it to you immediately. Early warnings from our side are cheaper than departmental letters later.
Sellers on Amazon, Flipkart and other marketplaces face a three-way match between marketplace reports, GSTR-1 and the TCS the operator deposits against your GSTIN. We reconcile all three every period and accept the TCS credit, so sellers in Sembium never leave marketplace deductions unclaimed.
Your sales figures, supplier lists and login credentials are handled only by our engaged team, stored securely and never shared with any third party. Many of our clients in Sembium compete with each other; complete confidentiality is a condition of our work.
We are a Chennai firm with a physical office, not a faceless portal. If you prefer to sit across a table with your papers, you are welcome. Clients from Sembium regularly visit us for registrations, notice discussions and annual return reviews.
Every new client receives a review of their recent returns before we file anything — unclaimed credit, GSTR-1 versus GSTR-3B drift, and exposures worth correcting quietly. Businesses in Sembium often discover in this first review exactly why their previous arrangement was costing them money.
From filing the LUT in RFD-11 at the start of each financial year to preparing RFD-01 refund claims with complete annexures, we know what makes a refund file move. Exporters and inverted-duty businesses come to us specifically for this.
We read the notice line by line, identify the section invoked, the periods covered, the exact information sought and the deadline for response.
The figures alleged in the notice are reconciled against your filed returns, GSTR-2B and books, so the reply is grounded in verifiable numbers rather than assertions.
We draft a professional, point-wise reply addressing every allegation, attaching reconciliations, invoices and legal support, and share the draft with you for approval.
The approved reply is filed on the portal within the deadline. Where a small genuine liability exists, we advise payment through DRC-03 to limit interest and penalty.
We monitor the portal for the officer's response, attend to any further queries or hearing dates, and pursue the matter until a closure or order is received.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: Draft reply in 3-5 working days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Whether moving between composition and regular scheme, opting into QRMP, or crossing the e-invoice threshold at Rs.5 crore, transitions are planned in advance rather than discovered after a compliance breach.
Late-fee waivers and amnesty windows notified by the GST Council are applied to your history within their deadlines, capturing reliefs that most businesses only hear about once the window has already closed.
Advances received for services attract GST on receipt while advances for goods generally do not; applying this distinction correctly means you neither prepay tax unnecessarily nor omit a liability that surfaces later with interest.
Continuous filing protects you from the suspension and cancellation proceedings that hit chronic non-filers, so your registration, e-way bill access and ability to issue tax invoices are never suddenly cut off.
Where a genuine error is found in a past period, voluntary payment through DRC-03 before any notice issues closes the matter at minimal cost, instead of letting it ripen into a demand with penalty.
Your scheme choice — regular, composition or QRMP — is re-examined as turnover and margins change, so you are always paying under the structure that legitimately costs your business the least.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Due-date tracking | A maintained compliance calendar with internal cut-offs days before the 11th and the 20th; we chase you for data, not the other way around. | Deadlines remembered from memory or phone alarms; one busy week and the return slips past the due date. |
| Time cost | Roughly an hour a month to send data and approve drafts; the portal work, reconciliation and follow-up are ours. | Hours every month lost to portal errors, JSON files, OTP failures and reworking figures — usually on the due date itself. |
| Input tax credit | Purchase register matched against GSTR-2B each period, with defaulting suppliers chased so eligible credit is actually captured. | Credit claimed from books alone; mismatches with GSTR-2B mean lost credit or excess claims that invite departmental queries. |
| Supplier defaults | Suppliers who stop uploading invoices are identified within the period and pursued before their default becomes your blocked credit. | Missing supplier invoices surface only when credit is denied, by which time recovering the amount from the vendor is difficult. |
| Goods in transit | E-way bills generated correctly and matched to invoices, so consignments pass roadside inspections without detention or penalty. | A defective or missing e-way bill can mean detention at a checkpoint, with penalties that dwarf the tax on the consignment. |
| Late fees and interest | Filings go in ahead of statutory dates, so the Rs.50-per-day late fee and 18 percent interest never arise. | Late fees accumulate silently every delayed day, and interest on unpaid tax runs at 18 percent per annum. |
Ashokar Street is a residential street in Sembium, about 550 m east of the centre of Sembium. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — Kabilar Street (about 50 m); Jeevanadham Street (about 150 m); SSV Koil First Street (about 150 m); Bharathidasan Street (about 200 m) — so a site visit on Ashokar Street can usually be combined with other work in Sembium on the same trip. For GST purposes an address on Ashokar Street falls under the Chennai North CGST Commissionerate, and the Sembium pincode is 600011.

CBIC Instruction No. 04/2025-GST · 2025-05-02
To back up the registration processing instruction, CBIC required every CGST Zone to publicise a dedicated email address for registration grievances on its website and on the notice board of the concerned office. Applicants aggrieved by improper queries, unjustified rejection or delay may write to that address with the application reference number; the zone must examine the grievance, take corrective action and report the disposal to the Directorate General of GST periodically.
What to do about it: A registration rejected on flimsy grounds need not go straight to appeal; the zonal grievance email often gets the application reopened far faster.
Notification No. 7/2022-Central Tax (Rate), dated 13 July 2022 · 2022-07-13
This companion notification amended the exemption list so that the nil rate on cereals, pulses, flour and similar staples applies only where the goods are other than pre-packaged and labelled. Loose sale from an open sack or gunny bag remains exempt; the same commodity in a sealed retail pack bearing statutory declarations becomes taxable at five per cent. Both notifications came into force on 18 July 2022 and reshaped billing for every kirana and provision supplier.
Practical effect: The same bag of rice is nil-rated if sold loose and taxable at five per cent if sold in a labelled retail pack, so packing practice now decides the tax.
Circular No. 187/19/2022-GST · 2022-12-27
Where a resolution plan is approved by the adjudicating authority under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code and the government's claim is scaled down, the tax department cannot continue to pursue the original demand. The Board directed officers to give effect to the approved plan by issuing an intimation in FORM GST DRC-25 under Rule 161, reducing the demand in the recovery records to the amount admitted in the plan, and to close recovery proceedings for the balance.
Why this matters: If a Chennai company has come out of insolvency, insist on a DRC-25 intimation so that the old demand stops appearing in the recovery register and blocking registration or refunds.

Upload the PDF to our free GST Notice Analyser. It identifies which of 34 notice types you have, pulls out the DIN, GSTIN and tax period, reads the reply date printed on the notice and tells you plainly whether that date has already passed — along with the documents and reconciliations you will need. No payment, no account. If the notice does not state a date we can read, it says so rather than guessing one for you.
