New GST Registration in Tondiarpet does not have to mean portal errors, guesswork and due-date tension. For a fixed fee starting Rs.1,499, an accountable Chennai practice prepares, reconciles, reviews and files — and remains answerable long after the acknowledgement arrives.
We serve businesses on and around Amaranjipuram Road — document pickup, in-person consultation at our Porur office, or fully online over WhatsApp.
Share your number — a senior GST consultant calls you back within 30 minutes.
Tondiarpet is North Chennai's transport corridor, strung along Thiruvottiyur High Road and the Ennore Expressway with container yards, lorry booking offices, petroleum storage depots and scrap dealers serving the port and refinery belt. Fleet operators and consignors here wrestle daily with e-way bill validity on detained vehicles and reverse charge liability on goods transport agency freight. For businesses here, staying on the right side of GST is not optional — buyers check compliance, and the department's systems match every return. Our firm provides New GST Registration to clients across Tondiarpet and neighbouring Royapuram and Old Washermanpet, combining Chennai jurisdiction familiarity with disciplined deadline tracking. Whether you run a shop, a service practice or a growing trading concern, we handle the portal work so you can stay focused on the business itself.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
Quarterly filing still demands monthly attention — IFF uploads so your buyers see their credit on time, and tax payment through PMT-06 by the 25th for the first two months of each quarter. We run that monthly rhythm so QRMP saves you effort without creating gaps.
OTP failures, DSC errors, stuck submissions on due-date evenings — we deal with the GST portal daily and know the workarounds. When the site misbehaves on the 20th, our team keeps retrying and escalating so your return still goes through.
From filing the LUT in RFD-11 at the start of each financial year to preparing RFD-01 refund claims with complete annexures, we know what makes a refund file move. Exporters and inverted-duty businesses come to us specifically for this.
You are told the full fee before we begin, in writing. No surprise additions for uploads, revisions or acknowledgements. Government fees and taxes, where applicable, are shown separately, so businesses in Tondiarpet always know exactly what the engagement costs them.
Freight paid to transporters, advocate fees, imported services and other notified supplies attract GST under reverse charge, with self-invoicing where the supplier is unregistered. We maintain a running RCM check every period, because this is the liability self-filers most consistently miss.
If a query, ASMT-10 scrutiny notice or DRC-01 arrives on a return we filed, we stand behind our work and help you draft the reply. You are not left alone with a departmental letter and a thirty-day clock ticking against you.
You share PAN, Aadhaar, photographs, address proof and bank details over WhatsApp or email. We review each document against portal requirements and flag anything that could trigger an officer query.
We draft Form GST REG-01 with the correct business constitution, principal place of business, HSN or SAC codes and authorised signatory details, then share a summary for your confirmation.
The application is filed on the GST portal and we guide the authorised signatory through Aadhaar OTP authentication, which speeds up approval and usually avoids physical verification of premises.
We track the ARN daily. If the officer issues a notice in Form REG-03 seeking clarification, we draft and file the reply in Form REG-04 within the permitted time.
Once approved, we download your registration certificate in Form REG-06, help set up portal login credentials, and brief you on invoice format, return due dates and e-way bill obligations.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: 3-7 working days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Tax positions, rate choices and credit calls are documented as they are made, so if a question arises years later, the reasoning and evidence are on file rather than in someone's fading memory.
Because monthly data is reconciled as it happens, GSTR-9 preparation before the 31 December due date becomes a review exercise rather than a painful reconstruction of twelve untidy months.
Continuous filing protects you from the suspension and cancellation proceedings that hit chronic non-filers, so your registration, e-way bill access and ability to issue tax invoices are never suddenly cut off.
The hours you or your accountant spent wrestling with the portal, JSON errors and reconciliations every month return to sales, operations and customers, while trained hands manage the compliance in the background.
Your billing staff are guided on invoice fields, rates and series discipline, so mistakes are prevented where they originate — at the counter — instead of being repaired later in the returns.
Getting IGST versus CGST and SGST right at the invoice stage spares you the painful cycle of paying the correct head again and pursuing a refund of the amount paid under the wrong one.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| When a notice arrives | A professional drafts the reply in the department's format and files it within the statutory window, such as thirty days for ASMT-11. | You face departmental language alone, and a missed reply deadline can convert a simple query into a demand with penalty. |
| Due-date tracking | A maintained compliance calendar with internal cut-offs days before the 11th and the 20th; we chase you for data, not the other way around. | Deadlines remembered from memory or phone alarms; one busy week and the return slips past the due date. |
| Portal credentials and data | Logins handled by a small engaged team under strict confidentiality, with credentials stored securely and never passed onward. | Passwords circulating on chats with freelancers and part-timers, and no accountability for who has accessed your business data. |
| Keeping up with changes | Rate changes, portal updates and new thresholds such as the Rs.5 crore e-invoice limit are tracked by us and applied to your case proactively. | Changes are discovered after the fact — often through a rejected filing, a blocked e-way bill or a departmental letter. |
| Risk of notices | GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-2B reconciled before filing, removing the mismatches that trigger most scrutiny notices. | Inconsistent figures across returns quietly build a mismatch history that surfaces later as ASMT-10 scrutiny or a demand notice. |
| Refund claims | RFD-01 filed with complete statements and annexures, tracked from ARN to bank credit, with any deficiency memo answered promptly. | Incomplete claims bounce back as deficiency memos while the refund sits unclaimed for months and working capital stays blocked. |
Amaranjipuram Road is a residential street in Tondiarpet, about 800 m south-east of the centre of Tondiarpet. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — Gollavar Agraharam Road (about 250 m); Jeevarathinam Road (about 400 m); Murugesan Street (about 450 m); Varadharaja Perumal Koil Street (about 450 m) — so a site visit on Amaranjipuram Road can usually be combined with other work in Tondiarpet on the same trip. For GST purposes an address on Amaranjipuram Road falls under the Chennai North CGST Commissionerate, and the Tondiarpet pincode is 600081.

Circular No. 203/15/2023-GST · 2023-10-27
CBIC clarified three recurring place-of-supply questions. For transportation of goods, including by mail or courier, where the supplier or the recipient is outside India, Section 13(9) of the IGST Act stood omitted from 1 October 2023, so the place of supply is now fixed by the default rule in Section 13(2), namely the location of the recipient. For advertising services supplied to a government body, the place of supply follows the location of the recipient under Section 12(2) rather than the location of the hoardings, with State-wise allocation where the contract provides for it. For co-location of servers in a data centre, the supply is a bundle of hosting services and not a letting of immovable property, so the recipient's location governs.
Practical effect: Chennai courier, advertising and data centre businesses should map their invoices to these tests before deciding between IGST and CGST plus SGST.
Imagic Creative (P) Ltd v. Commissioner of Commercial Taxes — Supreme Court, (2008) 2 SCC 614, judgment dated 09-01-2008 · 2008-01-09
An advertising agency was charged value added tax on the entire consideration although service tax had already been paid on the design element. The Supreme Court held that payments of service tax and of value added tax are mutually exclusive, so in a composite contract the value attributable to the service component cannot also be subjected to sales tax, and the two levies must attach to distinct parts of the transaction. Double taxation of the same value is impermissible.
Practical effect: For Chennai agencies, printers and works contractors, the goods and service components of a composite contract should be clearly valued in the agreement and the invoice so that only one tax attaches to each element of value.
Notification No. 03/2022-Central Tax (Rate) dated 13.07.2022 · 2022-07-13
Giving effect to the 47th GST Council's rate rationalisation, this notification raised the rate on works contract services supplied to the Central Government, State Government, Union territory and local authorities from 12 per cent to 18 per cent with input tax credit, applying from 18 July 2022. Several High Courts, including the Madras High Court, have since heard petitions by contractors seeking reimbursement of the differential tax from the awarding department on contracts priced before the change.
What to do about it: Chennai civil contractors with pre-July 2022 government tenders should pursue a differential-tax claim with the department rather than absorbing the 6 per cent increase.
